"Thassnice." River nibbled a bit more of his sandwich, figuring that Delilah's daddy must be nice. "Oh, m'Dadda 'n me were at the park but he sat down to read a book so I decided to s'plore a little." He laughed a bit. He had a feeling that Eno would be upset when he finally caught up, but it was worth exploring and meeting Delilah.

"Y-you know.. I n-never been t-...t-to the p-park..." she commented, thinking for a moment. "..actually.. i n-never been outside m-much..." she frowned slightly. "I g-get sick a lot!" she exclaimed, moving her arms about expressively with her speech. She was really enjoying talking with River, and was glad to be making a new friend. She began to eat some more, smiling as she did, then drank some more juice. "D-do you p-play outside a lot?"

"Really? The parks real fun." River grinned, nodding his head a little. "You do? My Dadda does too, but I don't really get sick often." River nodded again, frowning a little. Whenever he got sick, he just went outside during a bout of rain and usually felt better again. "Uh-huh! My fav'rit is when it's rainin' 'cause then I can splash in the puddles."

"I n-never seen the r-rain before... Is it f-fun?" she asked, curious to know what it was like to play in the rain. She was always kept indoor enough as is, and it was always a definite no when it was raining, so she never got to see what it was like. All she knew was that it was water coming down from the clouds and it made her daddy really wet when he came back. She giggled a little. She was having a lot of fun and she didn't want to have to leave. Eventually she knew she'd have to, but she was determined to play with him again if that was the case.

"You never seen rain before?" River looked astonished at the idea. "It's really fun! 'Less it's comin' down heavy. But if it's not it's real fun 'cause ya go out 'n stomp in the puddles!" He grinned widely, finishing off the rest of his sandwich.

Delilah giggled as River explained what it was like to play in the rain. "I w-want to p-play now... I hope it r-rains soon.." she commented with a smile. She finished her sandwich and her drink and she took up the medical mask and put it back onto her face and then seemed to smile beneath the mask. "We should p-play in the rain t-together.." she suggested, she was beaming with excitement, as she anticipated splashing in the puddles and getting all wet. It sounded like a lot of fun as she then took a quick glance to the sky. It didn't look like it would start raining any time soon and she frowned. Delilah hoped she could go outside more often, and that she'd be able to play with River more, though she had a feeling her father might object to it since she was always sick all the time. The idea saddened her, but she felt like she wouldn't let that get in her way as she looked River and smiled again.

"Oh oh watch this!" River set his juice box down and stood up, he moved off of the blanket and then closed his eyes as tight as he could, as if concentrating. After a few moments a small cloud began to form over his head, no bigger than a soccer ball. The cloud was dark, like a rain cloud, and not much time passed before little raindrops fell out of it. "I can make it rain!" He giggled, grinning widely. "Dadda normally makes me wear a raincoat though 'cause he said I'd get sick." He nodded, and the raincloud began to disappear. "Aww... never lasts very long..."

Delilah gasped and almost immediately took up Roosevelt into her arms, almost out of complete habit. As she watched him make a dark cloud and it began to drizzle lightly, her mouth was left agape beneath her mask as her eyes were wide with awe. As the cloud disappeared, she dropped the bear in as just as much shock as before. "Woooooooow!~" she exclaimed, still in complete awe. Her father had mentioned that the children at the academy had powers, just like her, but she had never seen any of those powers since arriving at the school. Delilah was amazed, she had never seen anything like it. Her own powers were less than amazing to herself, and in fact were quite a nuisance as she thought. But to see that River could actually make it rain, was astonishing. "Riiiivuur!" she cried out playfully and giggled, a sign of her immediate delight for the occurrence.

"S'pretty cool, right?" River grinned, happy he could make Delilah so excited. "Dadda doesn't know yet, 'cause I think he'd get scared 'er somethin'. Dadda gets scared easy." He sat down again on the blanket with a shrug. He didn't mind hiding his powers from Eno, for the time being anyway.
As if he knew he was being talked about, Enosio appeared on the top of the hill, staring down at them with a look of mild annoyance and worry. He strode down the hill, aimed directly for River. "River, you need to tell me before you wander off! I thought you'd been kidnapped or something." The annoyed look faded to worry and he swept in and took River into his arms before the toddler had time to react.
"But I didn'! I was here with Delilah and Roosevelt." River replied, pointing down to his new friend. "She gamme a sammich and juice!" He grinned, looking back to Eno. "That's nice... Oh um... Hello Delilah? I'm Enosio, River's father..." He awkwardly introduced himself to the child.

Delilah was startled by the presence of Enosio coming into the scene. Her smiled faded into a curious confusion. She debated whether to talk or not, but found herself too embarrassed to talk as she stared at Enosio with her big eyes. She froze up, didn't know what to do. She slowly raised her hand and gave a slowly, small wave at Eno.

"'Lilah dun speak well." River offered when Delilah simply waved. "Oh, I see... Well, I'm sorry to interrupt your picnic, but River and I need to head home now." Eno attempted his best smile, which only revealed the dog-like teeth he had. "We gotta play 'gain 'kay? Maybe we can play on the playground." River grinned widely, but then frowned. "But I dunno yer phone number..." He looked to Eno, as if he expected the adult to solve that problem.
"Oh... alright, um..." He sat River down and then dug out a small notepad, scribbled a number down, and then gave it to River so he could give it to Delilah. "Here! 'N then yer Dadda can call my Dadda and we can play again!"

Delilah nodded at the suggestion to play again. It sounded like a splendid idea to her. She took the piece of paper from River and smiled, nodding again. She was a little sad that he was leaving, but it was okay since she anticipated playing with him again. She would wait until Eno and River were gone before deciding to pack up her things and go. She knew she'd been out for a long while and that her father was probably very worried about her. She waved at River to signal him her goodbye and collected Roosevelt into her arms.

"Call soon 'kay?" River grinned and allowed himself to be taken up into Eno's arms again. "See you again sometime, Delilah." Eno nodded a bit before heading off. River poked his head over Eno's shoulder and waved again to Delilah, already looking forward to the next time they got to play.
