Matt soon found himself being forced down to the canvas! He didn't hve much, if any options!

Landry tried to keep Matt's shoulders pinned down long enough for the referee to count a quick pin!

Matt's shoulders were on the canvas, and the ref went for the count!

Matt managed to to raise a shoulder off the canvas despite Landry's weight! No, Landry wasn't fat. It was just that Landry had the advantage and Matt managed to get a shouder up despite said advantage made it seem....I don't know. It just was!

Landry noticed the count stopped and tried to put it back down once again for another pin attempt.

Matt was pushed back down and the ref went for the count! Yet again Matt got a shoulder up, only it was the other shoulder this time!

One more time Landry tried to force Draven's shoulders down, if only to steal some energy away from the champ early on.

Landry went for the pin again and Matt arched his back in a bridge before the ref could count! Now Matt attempted to push back and tried getting back to his vertical base!

The crowd was electric and Draven would not be denied. Landry was forced all the way back up to space one as Draven got back up to a vertical base!

Now that Matt was back to a vertical base, he needed to do something. That something being....a backslide pin!

Draven turned and turned and turned some more until he hooked in the arms for the backslide pin! Pulling Landry over his shoulders down to the mat!
"1...2..." No! Landry rolled over backwards to save himself from the fatal three, then rolled forward to attempt an Oklahoma Roll.

Just as Draven had pulled Landry into the backslide pin, The crowd exploded with excitement and anger as they say the WWFG Undisputed Number One Contender, Tyson Briggs, jump the barricade. Just as Landry had managed to roll out of the pin, Tyson was already getting to his feet in the ring. He charged forward to catch Landry in mid-stand with a nasty boot to the face.
If successful Tyson would quickly turn his sights on the Champ. Matt Draven.

((Dunno if this was planned or not but...))
Just as the audience was getting into this highly technical display from the two bruised atheletes, Tyson Briggs decided to stick his boot where it didn't belong, I.e. Landry's head.
Mike was kicked hard and flung into the ropes in a heap with his momentum combined with Tyson's. He fell off the apron in a heap, holding the side of his head as the referee called for a disqualification.

Matt was flung aside when Brigg's boot met Landry's face! Which wasn't a pretty sight in itself, but Matt wasn't able to see. Seeing as he ended up tumbling backwards! Anyway, after Tyson hit with the boot, Matt scrambled back up to his feet. Landry was declared the winner by DQ as the WWFG Champ and the #1 contender locked eyes.

~I figured it's the second card after the Rumble. I think it was about time Tyson made his presence known in the title scene.~
Just as Draven got back to his feet, Tyson charged forward, not giving Matt much time to recover his balance. Tyson bent forward and went to scoop The Champ up onto his shoulder and over his back, looking to place him in the set up for The West Coast Salute! If successful Tyson would plant the back of his head and shoulders into the mat with much force.

Matt was lifted up and then slammed into the canvas! The slam echoing throughout the entire arena in the process! He rolled onto his side holding the back of his head and neck as the crowd gave some big heat to the WWFG contender!
