It wasn't long before Onyxia, too, turned her own heels for the outdoor world. The snapping she did only increased her hunger to a malicious level. A good hunt always did the soul good, her brother stated before. Where are those raid groups when you need them most? Tch. Making sure no one was around and no one followed, light fur smoothed into darkened scales, and she returned to her original state. Just as her father traded the flight's gift of terrain for fire, she'd exchange her time in spiteful plotting for a few kills at the moment. If she could have a good little party of warriors and their priests to heal them, she'd just burn them to a crisp, and whatever they dropped or left behind... Well, that would start her new treasure collection.
But those days didn't exist in the world. She would have to keep telling herself that over and over again...

He glanced over his shoulder and noticed she was walking away. He stepped into a shadow and as if the floor beneath him had melted away, he slowly fell into the realm of shadows. A dark abyss of black and white. Above him was the real world and where the shadows of the reality fell, white portals came with them. This was his navigation course, as he followed the vixen from below. He saw her shadow change and smirked in delight. A white blob, the shadow of a tree, was his target.
He hovered over to it and flew up into the portal, slowly rising from the ground into the real world. He took a moment to allow the adjust of gravity, then stepped out. "You didn't have to lie"

"What's this?" Onyxia smirked, her large, leathered wings spread and prepared for flight. "So, the knight knows a few tricks of his own." Turning her pale, yellow gaze at the digimon, her tail swung lightly, very pleased with the events that unfolded. "You saw through my magic, Knight? And here I was, so that sure my powers were returning slowly..." She sighed to add the effect of her mock disappointment, only to have a haze of black smoke emit through the spikes of teeth in her rough mouth. Scales of darkness shown only in the shadows, her glowing eyes still at the armored fox.
The dragon could tell only half of what this being was capable of, but if he were to point his lance at her, she'd have to devise a plan. She could easily turn the forest around the area into a hellish fire that would last for weeks, and she could definitely use the sky to her advantage... Though that didn't seem wise at all. You've always planned too much ahead of yourself, sister. Nefarian's words returned once more, making her feel foolish this time. "Well, what are you going to do about it?"

He stared at her guise long and hard. "You know, I came from the shadows. What good will it do you to block yourself from seeing everything around you?" he chuckled a bit and leaned casually against the tree. He had no intentions of fighting a dragon. They were on his side from where he came from. In fact, he technically was one....Well..evolved from one anyway

She felt her hide of thick scale and fur bristle a bit, slightly surprised. "You just answered it." She said simply, eying the shadows around them. "You use the shadows to your advantage, just as I rely on using my magic for infiltration and manipulation. As you can see, I'm not of a very ... Honest, pure-hearted breed of dragon." Tail flickering and feeling her breath warming, she added more words shortly.
"Now, for example, what dragon walks in to the royal court of humans to begin her plots of deception without a false identity?" She paused to smirk, her large wings lowered as she answered her own question. "A dead one, obviously."

He stared at her for a moment, clearly not wanting to really fight her or anything. He had no true interest, he was just curious as to why she seemingly forgot him. Was she brainwashed...or was she not the right dragon

Huffs of smoke stopped when she felt like the knight knew something about her that she didn't. Curious, so curious, this thought. Eyes lowered to match her confusion, she tilted her head slightly, claws retracted. "... What is it, Knight??"

Has she gone mad? he thought to himself as he seemed flabbergasted in his pose by what he was hearing. "Onyxia. Tis me. CG?" he said feeling like a small part of him has departed. How could he forget the only creature he's had friendly contact with?

"CG...?" Huffs of smoke lessened, though they reformed at her thinking and breathing. "I suppose my memory is failing me... I can't be that old, am I...?" She snorted at her own thought. Well, it might be possible, but she was always thinking. Thinking all day and night was all she could do besides hunt, anyways, her brother was not much of a talker when it came to planning...

He stared long and hard, trying to figure out if this was the same dragon he knew. "Old age? I'm old and I remember you" he said defensively. He knew not the precise age of the beast before him, but he knew that his age couldn't differ too much from her own

The dragon found the smoke much more comfortable with the crucial thinking, doubting her failing memories. "It's a mortal joke, I suppose." Well, her father was one of the first dragons from her realm... Then again, age probably differed between these worlds, she was now curious on how much time could be different from the realms. Well, she had better things to think of, though, but one such as herself couldn't help but to be curious.

He stood and took a few cautious steps towards the smoking creature. "Then, you do remember our encounters?" he asked tilting his head to one side. How someone could just suddenly forget something was just mystifying to him. She had to be pulling his leg or at least having fun, but how was he ever to inquire such a thing?

"If I did I wouldn't be thinking so hard now." She exhaled, her claws now drumming on the dirt under her. Confusing and frustrating as it was, she didn't feel like losing. Losing against her mind, that is.

Slightly bruised by the words he turned on his heels. "Well. When you do remember, I shall be waiting ever patiently" he calmly spoke. He fought his decision to return to the tree's shadow and vanish into the dark abyss below. From there, he sat in silence, waiting for any sign of epiphany or protest

"Some blasted mage or paladin must have hit me a little too hard in the head." She snorted, clearly frustrated with her current situation. Another poor joke just escaped her mouth... Dragonhide was too thick for that to happen, of course. ".... And thank you for your patience.."
