"Would you like a bigger one?" It was a caustic remark, but now that they were actually in battle Aries seemed to be loosening up. "Be grateful for your small, unlikeable mercies."
Small it was, but as it wheeled from her skull-smash it recovered quickly and sank its teeth into her leg instead. Her Captain had risen to her feet and was watching the proceedings with no hint of amusement, but was pacing back and forth as though waiting until she was needed. The youma looked a little dented. It was probably going to take another few dead-on scale smashes to kill it off.
"Need help?"
Loaded question.

Deeming the Captain's sarcasm unworthy of a response (especially when greedy little teeth attaching themselves to her shin), Libra only scowled more deeply. Of course it chose an angle much more difficult to strike, of course!
The blond struck at again, golden scales hammering hard, but the little youma seemed to be expecting that now, at the very least. Its grip slackened for only a moment, but it did not fall this time. The soldier swore audibly this time, not the least bit pleased with the proceedings. Her attempts kept falling short, this just wasn't good enough, not good enough.
Aries' question left her frozen on the spot. Albeit, only briefly, but if the Captain had been watching closely, she'd have seen the tension well up and those blue eyes get just a little harder as Libra weighed her options.
"If you feel so inclined," was what Libra replied, the look she gave her leader anything but kind. To be humbled, by such a small creature nonetheless, was not how Libra had planned her evening. "I would not want to be a burden, Captain." Slamming the youma with much more force than before, the Zodiac snarled. And then, before she could reel it back in:
"What do you want from me?"
She could not preform if she did not know what Aries has been looking for.
