Long laughed a bit as he saw Jing Lin's son heading after his daughter, a small knowing look on his own features, "Well, so long as they're careful, it shouldn't be too bad. I brought bandages just in case of accidents, though - Gui can get a bit too energetic for her own good at times."
The small girl seemed to be proving that point, ending up sprawling over a tree root when she looked back to check if Bai Mei were following. The lotus child pouted, the wind knocked out of her for a moment as she scrambled to her feet. Stupid root!

"Bandages could be useful, Bai Mei lacks a certain amount of grace that I hope he picks up as he grows." He said, watching as the girl tripped over something and winced a little. Well... at least Bai Mei seemed to be to be keeping himself upright... for the moment at least. When the girl sprang back up the sculptor relaxed once more, arms crossing over his chest as he watched the pair as they resumed their game.
Bai Mei seemed to forget about the game for a moment as the girl tripped and hurried to catch up, "Are you alright?" He asked, concern in his voice as he looked her over. She was back on her feet in moments which had him smiling in a relieved manner, "Oh, good!" He said, one hand lifting to rest again his chest as he drew in a deep breath and let it out slowly.

Gui giggled, tossing her brown hair, "Of course I'm okay! It was just a little fall!" she assured the other, "I fall just fine!"
The girl waited for her friend to regain his breath before dashing off again, occasionally slowing to look back for him again but being more careful about it.

Bai Mei waited for the game to start again before he once more gave chase, smiling as he raced along after the girl. He reached a hand out toward her back as he got closer to her, giggling as he got closer and closer to her, "Almost... Almost..." He said as he reached out to her.
He gave a squeak as his hands touched her back and he nearly toppled over as a result. He tripped over his over feet, flailed his arm in a windmilling motion, and after a moment he was able to catch himself without landing on his face. He gave a sound of relief as he pushed his hair out of his face and looked around to try to figure out were Gui was.

Gui had stopped, turning to get ready to chase her friend as she was tagged. However, with Bai Mei stopped and all wobbly, it wasn't really the best time to chase him yet. Had she been a more serious player, now would have been a great time to take advantage of that, but she wasn't and so the girl just waited till she was sure he'd righted himself.
"Are you all right?" she inquired, head tilting to the side as she waited for him to be ready to continue.

Bai Mei gave a giggle and a nod of his head, "I'm alright." He said, looking himself over as if to make sure before he moved forward once more to try to catch the girl that he was playing with. This game was one that seemed to have them both a bit wobbly but at least it was fun he thought to himself. He found himself thinking of Song Tzue, wondering if she would be good at this game. He bet that she would be but then again she seemed to be good at a lot of things.
He gave a squealing sound as he reached one hand out to try to tag at his new friend, reaching out a bit to far as it was just begging for him to trip again... but thus far he was able to keep himself upright which was a miracle for him as he was never was the most graceful of children. That he was staying upright so well this long was a testament to the fact that he was starting to finally get a little more stable on his feet, something the white haired boy was quite proud of.

After a few more rounds of tag, Gui began to tire of the running. She leaned against a tree, breathing deeply and holding up her small hand in front of her. "I need to -pant- rest for a few moments, all right?" the child said softly, trying not to feel overwhelmed.
Long had started to walk back in their direction by this point, "Are you two having fun?" he inquired pleasantly, a small smile on his features.

Bai Mei was only to happy to comply, plopping down on the ground next to her, hands resting on his lab, "W-Wow... that is very t-tiring.." He said, nearly sweating up a storm now. He lifted his arm up to wipe his forehead off on his sleeve before turning to look toward the sound of Long's voice and he gave the man a smile and a nod, "Y-Yes... very tiring fun." He said with a bright smile, excited as ever even if they had run each other ragged.
Jing Lin moved from where he was standing to follow along after Long, checking up on the pair and was rather pleased to see that his son was having so much fun. It was a good turn of pace from normal, everyday life where things were more complicated, "I am glad to see your having fun." He told them, rather glad they had run across these two.

Long sighed, making sure his bag was secure and walking over to the two with a small but tired smile. He reached forward and lifted up Gui into his arms before she collapsed onto the ground by her friend. "I think that means you need to go home and take a rest, small one." he said with a grin to Bai Mei and Jing Lin.
"It was very good to meet you both. We shall have to spend time together again." he said pleasantly, watching the lotus girl shift in his arms to wave at Bai Mei before latching onto her father's neck. "Good evening Bai Mei. Good evening Bai Mei's father!"

Bai Mei stepped closer to his father, taking the man's hand in his, giving it a squeeze before he looked up at his friend who was lifted up into Long's arms when it appeared that she was as sleepy as he was after their play, "It was a lot of fun playing with you today Gui!" He said, waving his free hand after her and her father until the pair were out of sight before looking up at his father.
Jing Lin smiled down at him before following suit, picking his son up off the ground, nuzzling against his hair, then started forward away from where they had met the pair and toward home. It had been a pleasant walk outside, lots of fresh air, and a pair of good people as opposed to those they were used to dealing with in town. Overall it had been a very good adventure, something they would have to try to do again, "We will be sure to meet with them again sometime soon." He told his son, having rather enjoyed his time with them and because he liked that his son was able to make some friends that wouldn't look down upon him for what their parents believed he was.
The pair turned to head back toward town with Jing Lin in a far better mood now then he had been coming out here.
