Cutblade walked a few feet away and then slowly turned around and said softly to her "they would of only turned out like me." he started to run away from her and entered an alley hidden between 2 big buildings. he changed into his civilian clothes.

Viveka rolled her eyes. Yeah, she was a thief, but she cared for her fellow rats of the streets. She, herself, didn't even have anywhere to stay. She followed the superhero guy and looked down at him as he changed into a normal guy in clean clothes. Lucky him. "This technically doesn't count as peeping cos I'm engaged in conversation..." she remarked to him. She jumped down and said, "And you never know if you'll be turned out unless you try."

Harry rolled his eyes and loked at her. he said with a new happy tone "well at least i dont have to worry about seeing a peeper through my window when i know it would only be you." he seemed happier. he walked down the alley with his hands behind his head and said to her "let me buy you something to eat. you looked starved." he didnt stop.

Viveka pouted her lip, but caught up to him and walked beside him. "I'll take you up on that offer, if you don't mind. And you'd still have to worry about peepers. Not often do we get such a pretty tush in this town." she said teasingly, an amused twinkle in her eye.

he laughed a little at her coment. she had no idea. not many people could get with someone who could not be destroyed from a rocket launcher. he could take a lot of pain. he looked at her and said "when you are not out peeping at grown men, what are you doing? i am a teacher at the school in the good side of town and i like to go for walks during the night." he was acting like he was on a date with her.
(lol he is funny when he is not a superhero. lol.)

Viveka looked away and hid her slight blush. She turned and looked at him again when she had that familiar sarcastic smirk on her face. "Hm... When I'm not peeping... Hm... I'm a thief." she said plainly. He was going to have to get used to these kinds of things.

a waitress came up and asked them what they wanted to drink. Harry told her that he wanted Root Bear. he turned back to her with an evil smile and said "really? well you better watch out. there is a new superhero around town that has been taking out bad guys. i cant recall his name though. do you know it?" he was playing with her like a cat would play with a string of yarn.
(root bear is awsome. lol kitty!!!!!)

(i agree completely. biggrin and excuse me, but i am a full grown tiger. ahahah)
Viveka asked for the same. She turned back to him and gave him a bored look. Was he really trying to pull this over her? Then, she waved her hand dismissively, "Oh, just some out-of-town Jasper here to make his mark until the next drug dealer stops by and has him killed." Then she leaned back against the back of her seat and crossed her arms. "So you think he'll catch me, eh? Well, pity that I only steal from politicians, or I would think about slipping up once in a while." She lifted an eyebrow temptingly.

Harry smiled and leaned forward. he took her hand in his. his skin felt cold and very strong. he looked at her evily and said "i am sure he will. he likes a chalange but, who knows, he might just join you one day because he has no choice. May i say, you have the softest skin i have ever felt. its quite strange for someone who is a theif. most theifs have rough skin." the waitress came back with their drinks and asked if they were ready to order. Harry ordered 5 pancakes.

Without looking away, she slips her hand from his and rests it an inch away. "That happens when this thief actually has enough money to live the life of luxury." she admitted, since--after all--she DID have enough money after all these years of stealing from some of the most powerful people in the world. She didn't mention that she only stole particularly rare or high priced items. It wasn't necessary knowledge for him. "I'm sure he'll be thoroughly entertained. I have a tendency for the hard-to-get game." she teased. When the waitress came, she ordered 4 sunny side eggs and 15 pancakes. "For the kids back home," she explained.

Harry had been suprised about her order but then understood why. also at that moment he understood why she had been so upset about him burning down the building. that could of been the building where the kids were. he withdrew from her and looked away. he let out a deep sigh. he didnt say a word then.

Viveka gave him a sharp look. "Don't go thinking that I've got kids, cos I don't. Too dang young. These are for the kids I live with." she said matter-of-factly. Luckily, those scumbags that had been in the burning had kicked out all the kids before taking over, so there had been nothing but their trashy selves in there... but it had been possible. This superhero was too damn reckless.

Harry didnt look up untill the waitress came back over and put down the food. she looked at Harry for a second and then asked "are you two together?" Harry almost instantly looked up and said quickly "No! we are just old friends!" the Waitress backed up slowly and didnt come back. Harry put his face in his hand and sighed.

Viveka stared at him for a second and closed her eyes before saying, "She asked you cos she knows who I am. I'm one of the most famous ruffians in this town. One of the leading rogues. Guilty by association." she said. She wouldn't allow the small hint of loneliness that she felt show through her voice.

Harry didnt look up but said softly "we are who we are." he started to eat his pancakes. he started to eat them slowly at first but then attacked them soon afterwards.
