Evari would never admit this, especially not to Chase, but she was at a loss at what to do. They had to entertain the pickiest dragon ever! Augh! She just had to get this thing's attention off the boy, that's all she cared about at this point. And so she started flailing her arms and jumping up and down, looking totally ridiculous as a flying princess with her large dress bouncing with her. "HEY DRAGON! DRAGOOOOOON! DRAGON! HEY! HEY DRAGON!" Evari called out, trying desperately to get the attention on her.
Unfortunately the dragon totally ignored her, deciding the flaming hula hoop thing really would be the better idea. And so it puffed its cheeks for a moment before spitting a small ball of fire at the hoop the boy was playing with. Ha! Maybe now they could entertain him properly! If they didn't his mommy was gonna eat them right up! Hmph!

Sadly for Chase, the hoop indeed caught on fire. The boy gave a loud shriek and nearly jumped out of his skin at the whole thing, and honestly that was MILDLY interesting to the dragon, but not as interesting as he had hoped. Perhaps if he just set the boy on fire it would be more interesting. Dare he entertain himself? There was a pile of costumes off stage that looked rather burnable...

It took quite a bit of effort for Evari not to burst out laughing when the hula hoop was set on fire. She clutched her sides and snerked, one hand moving up to her mouth and grinning behind it. Hahaha! He almost got all burned up! Haha! That was too funny! She followed the dragon's gaze to the costumes. It...it wanted to set those on fire now? Well, it was a dragon. Burning things seemed to be all it wanted to do. With a roll of her eyes Evari waved a hand dismissively at the pile of costumes.
"Yeah, sure. Go nuts." The dragon's eyes widened and his wings flapped excitedly, jumping up and down as he spit a few fireballs at the pile. The costumes lit right up and the flames grew tall, almost reaching the top of a curtain hanging just above it. The dragon squealed and bounced around the bonfire, snorting rings of smoke from his nose and prancing in circles around the fire. This was so much fun! This was what he wanted to do! It was good that these kids understood that now! Evari grinned, laughing a little.
...Hey wait! Her clothes were in that pile! s**t!

Chase merely watched as the dragon burned the costumes. Now that wasn't very responsible at all. Pretending things were on fire was one, but actual fire could hurt someone.
That and Chase was rather angry that Evari laughed at him almost getting burned. He wouldn't have laughed if it had happened to her. Chase decided that he did not like Evari very much and hoped that the mama dragon would come home soon so he could leave.
The dragon was having a grand old time watching the clothes burn, but now was slowly wondering what else the girl would let him catch on fire....

This dragon was obviously entertained by fire. So if that was the way to go who were they to deny it? Had to keep him happy and not eating them! Evari picked up a plastic sword that hadn't caught fire and carefully fished into the bonfire with it, picking out a shirt...or...at least she thought it was a shirt, and dropping it into the trap door in the floor. Everything inside caught fire rather quickly.
The dragon perked up and watched as the glorious flames licked up out of the opening. Now this was more like it!
Evari grinned. "We gotta entertain it with fire!"

Ok, this girl was not mean. This girl was crazy! Chase tried to stop her from chucking the lit cloth to the storage space underneath the stage they were STANDING on, but it was too late, and now everything below them was catching on fire. Chase could feel bits of the stage getting warm.
"Fine then! YOU entertain it. I don't wanna catch fire!" he yelped, trying to make a break for the edge of the stage, but he tripped and landed face first.
The dragon chortled. Silly clumsy being...hey, those curtains looked flammable...

Okay so...fine. Maybe lighting the stage on fire had been a bad idea. Admittedly, Evari hadn't really thought that plan through. Her focus had been to entertain this stupid dragon that was impossible to entertain. But now she had to get off this stage. She just had to! It was starting to really burn up! But she couldn't leave the dragon behind. Evari groaned and hurried around the baby dragon to push at him, managing to get him to the edge of the stage with hardly any fuss. The little dragon was quite curious what was going on and was squealing happily as it helped the flames along, spitting little balls of fire at the flames already starting to flicker through the floorboards. It stopped when they got to the edge of the stage and refused to move, digging its claws into the floor and squeaking. She was trying to push it down?! So mean! No! It didn't wanna!
Evari sighed with frustration and looked over the edge of the stage, then at the dragon. It was real little...didn't look too heavy or anything. In fact it was kinda shaped like a beach ball. So maybe it was light like one? "Hey dragon...wanna fly?" Evari grinned at it and its attention seemed to be perked. Fly? It did want to fly! Like its mommy! It gave a nod and tilted its head, looking the girl up and down. She was going to help him fly? How? How! He wanted to know! Bouncing a little, the dragon snorted rings of smoke out his nose and stared expectantly at Evari. The glowing girl grinned and moved to stand at the dragon's side, reaching around to wrap her arms around his middle. With a strained grunt she managed to get him up a few feet, swaying a moment. Guh! He was heavier than she thought! "Okay...whoo...on three! One..." She swayed, moving like she was going to throw him. "Twooooo..." She repeated the motion.. "THREE!"
Evari released the dragon and sent him flying through the air. He squealed with delight and flapped his wings, blowing little fireballs everywhere and looking the happiest he had ever been. Eventually he hit the ground with a thud, still bouncing and squawking and squealing happily. Evari was laughing as she jumped off the edge of the stage, watching the dragon do what could be interpreted as a victory dance. Good, she was glad it was happy. Finally. She blinked when he suddenly stopped and swayed unsteadily on his feet, his eyes drooping. Huh? Wh-what? Was it okay? It opened its mouth wide and made a yawning sound, curling up on the floor and apparently...falling asleep.

Chase finally dragged himself off the stage as the baby dragon started to fall asleep. He was about to state to the girl that she was crazy and that he hoped that she'd get...not crazy soon, when a great whoosh from above stopped him and made him look up.
There she was, the mama dragon. She looked around at the stage before sighing. "I can never go off on my own without the baby setting fire to anything can I?" she chuckled lightly before looking to the two small children.
"Well, thank you for your help keeping my baby company while I was away," she said with a small toothy smile.
Chase looked around. Hey! That bubble thing was back! He rushed over to it, but not before waving goodbye to the mama dragon. The other girl he could really care less about. He wanted to get as far away from her as possible!

Evari gasped and jumped away from the baby dragon when his mother returned, looking back at the burning stage and then up at the mother. So he did this a lot. Ha. At least she was grateful that they had taken care of her son properly, apparently. Not bad for having no idea what they were doing. She nodded and waved to the mommy dragon, watching her pick up her baby just as she was suddenly engulfed in a bubble. Whoa! Another one?! Where was she going now?
Before Evari knew it she was staring up at her bedroom ceiling. What? She blinked a few times and sat up, looking around the room. She was in her bedroom again...and she wasn't covered in blood! And she was dressed in her own clothes!
...Had...had it all been a dream? But why would she dream up such a stupid boy? Strange...
