As time moved on and they grew up playing together as the best of friends...they entered adulthood and their childhood friendship became a budding romance.
They were playing a game of tag when all of a sudden Bells turned around when Kuu was coming after her and because of the sudden turn their mouths met in a kiss. Bells stopped in her tracks and blushed. She had never kissed anyone before and was suprised at the warm feeling that the kiss with Kuu made her feel. "I am so sorry...it was an accident...." She batted her eyelashes down and blushed.

Time had flown so fast but, every minute spent with Bell's never bored nor made him want for anything. They hunted and swam together for months into adulthood. Now as they played and he felt her lips on his Kuu almost died, in a good way. Beneath his dark fur a barely visible blush blossomed his ears flickering up in surprise form their previously half lowered playful position. "A-ah..it's okay..I..liked it." In fact Kuu felt tempted to do it on purpose again but, restrained himself. He still wanted to ask Bell's to be his mate forever yet, the very thought of asking her made him feel weak kneed. Maybe now would be the right time? It was an important milestone in his life..why should he dance around it? Taking a deep breath and, moving a bit closer he spoke the words that had been on his mind for a few weeks now. "Bell's...would you maybe..like to be my mate?" Mate...it had a nice ring to it. No one else would be able to steal her away. Should they try they would be met with a strong resistance from Kuutamo. His heart raced as if he had been running through the forest and, his whole body readied itself for possible rejection. Would she say yes?

Bells heart raced after she kissed him and was glad that he like the kiss. She noticed that his face went kind of serious and she was worried about what made him so serious. Then the question that she had been hoping he would ask her, he finally asked. Her heart caught in her throat and she smiled as tears ran down her face. Once she had caught her breath she told him her answer. "Yes!!Yes!!! I would love to be your mate!!" She was dancing in circles she was so happy. "To be honest...I thought you would never ask." Bells cheeks were rosy and her heart soared with the love she felt.
