Is there a volcano that recently errupted on the island? Or some natural disaster of some sort?

The lands of Soquili isn't an island. There have been no natural disasters in the land since the Skinwalkers were able to come to the lands. Nothing majorly traumatic is allowed to happen in Soquili that will effect the entire mass. And Soquili's time frame is that of the Indians as far as technology goes.

.:|YARR! It's dirty in here!|:. Prompt: Prompt 3
What a perverted old stallion.
Suelos shook his long mane and gave a frustrated whiney, digging his front hoof into the dirt a little. Sure, he hadn’t realized the other male was hitting on him until he actually made a move…but that wasn’t Suelos’s fault. It also wasn’t Suelo’s fault that he had such a long and lovely mane…it was the highlight of his entire appearance. Suelo gave a sigh, trotting under a shady tree and laying down, letting his tail curl around him just a little. That other stallion seemed nice enough at first, perhaps the two could have been friends, that’s what it seemed like at least. Suelo shook his head, closing his eyes as he once again recalled the meeting between him and the other Soquili. The stallion walked up to Suelo and just began talking, first about the weather, then just as Suelo was beginning to get comfortable, the other began talking of all of his lifelong triumphs and then sidling up to him, rubbing his nose all over Suelo’s back.
…Sure…Suelo first thought something was on him, but..he didn’t stay completely oblivious for long…It only took five minutes or so…and a whole lot more contact before Suelo realized…Okay. That was a lie as well it was the other stallion who realized that Suelo was a stallion as well. When he realized that, he backed off quickly, making up some excuse of having a prior engagement, then galloped off.
‘It was a bother.’ Suelo thought, shaking his head once more, reaching out and nibbling some of the nearby grass. ‘He was a perverted stallion.’
…It only too Suelo an hour after the other left to realize that.
He would always be oblivious.
Fish Tacos: Erm…I like tacos…but…not fish….Why…why would you combine the two…that thought makes me sad…

Thank you very much for the extension! I wouldn't have seen the contest otherwise~ ^-^
.:|YARR! It's dirty in here!|:. Prompt: # 1. In keeping with Isle de Suelo's "oblivious" personality, I chose to roleplay in a manner somewhat similar to stream-of-consciousness form. If the font color is too difficult to read, please let me know and I shall alter it accordingly. <3
"Hmm?" he blinked, a puzzled expression on his handsome features. He mulled the thought over, as though he knew that something was there, something important, but couldn't... quite... get it.
"Well... I followed a butterfly off the beaten path, you see. And I ended up traveling far beyond the reaches of my expertise." He pawed at the ground- digging to reveal a hidden answer, perhaps? With a frown, he continued. "And, well... then there was a squirrel who seemed as though he needed a good laugh.... and so I went after him, but he didn't understand, he thought I was a Kalona or something but I really just wanted to play... and then I was deeper in the forest... and I was kinda lost, and it was cold." With a mighty shake, he brushed off the monetary setback with a grin. "But I was on an adventure, so it was all good!"
"... and, you know, I really don't see what's the big deal about me going off on an adventure. I mean, it's not all that great an expedition if you set off with your family in tow, is it?" He dismisses the thought with a snort. No, it was not.
"Anyway... butterfly, squirrel... deer! Yeah, so a Cerynei showed up and we journeyed out of the forest- 'cause apparently there really are meat-eaters in there- and then we parted ways, 'cause he didn't want to be my companion. And so I continued on my own, and made it to the shore." It had never even occurred to him to turn back; who would have thought his family would be concerned? He was having loads of fun! "And I met all sorts of wonderful and amazing creatures!" Something about the way he said it made it quite clear that he could go on for hours.
"But yeah, i'm back now." A dazzling grin broke the stunned silence as he peered about with absent-minded wonder.
"Ooo... look, a bird!"
The stallion trotted off with enthusiasm- or at least, he tried to: his polished hooves caught on a precarious rock- he stumbled, footing lost, and peered sheepishly behind him.
"Ehe."
... could it be? Clumsiness- genetic?
... Look out world, Isle de Suelo's has arrived! Again.
Fish Tacos: ... *stomach growl* ._.

This thread is closed. We'll decide if we'll extend longer (competing against the WoW event in Soquili) or decide on the three who entered.

We've decided we'll go ahead and judge who entered. Sorry to those of you who were working on an entry. We tried to give people more time, but after two extensions we felt it was time to give Suelo a second home.
We are judging the choices and will announce the winner at 5pm EST. Stay tuned!~

I'm sorry, I'm a half an hour late. sweatdrop I was hoping to have Psy to the announcement but he's tangled up as a druid on WoW. So I guess you'll have to put up with me.
I know this event didn't get a huge turnout due to lack of advertisement, but we wanted to keep it low-key since this was limited to those who didn't have a Soquili in any form. Thank you to the three people who entered for a chance, but unfortunately, we can only pick one.
The winner of Isle de Suelo is Nephelae. Psy was very impressed with how you nailed his personality in the prompt. I'll be kicking him off the game in a few to set up the co-ownership agreement and fling you a PM to accept the terms.
