Ily jumped back several feet as the colorful string shot out from the little bottle. “WOAH! YEAH!” she gasped, already running off to grab more stuff to try out. If anything could match the awesomeness as the strange, colorful spidery stuff in a can she was sure it had to be nearby. Grabbing things off the shelves and loading them into her arms, Ily zoomed up and down the aisles and, without realizing it, ran across Damon and Ephron before disappearing again.
“Here! We can try this stuff!” The girl giggled, dropping the massive pile of stuff in front of Nina. As it landed, various objects within let out some sort of strange sound like a symphony just starting up for the first time. Another squeal of delight escaped the child at the strange sounds her little pile made. “Oooh! Wonder what this-Eep!” As her small claws touched the strange can, the lid suddenly popped off like a cork on a champagne glass and colorful streams of paper burst out, showering the area with more color.
“Heh, a handful is an understate-There she-Is?” Damon blinked as the girl flashed in and out of view. Damn, he had forgotten how fast she could be. “Hurrying sounds like a good idea,” he added, already turning down the aisle he had seen Ily run through only moments before. Suddenly, a loud “BANG!” followed by giggling caught his attention. Damn it, they got a hold of something else. Judging by how quickly Ily had been running around, he was pretty sure she had been gathering a pile for them to test out.

In reaction to seeing the speedy form of Ilyrosa as she passed by, Ephron found himself reaching a hand out briefly as if to catch the child. No, he didn't exactly expect to, as she was a number of aisles away before he realized what he was seeing, but the reaction still manifested. He halted in his tracks, still astounded by the quickness with which she moved. At this rate, things could quite quickly take a turn for the worse, and he didn't exactly have all the money in the world to pay for damages. With this thought in mind, he took Damon's advice and hustled his step.
Nina swiftly hopped out of the way of the large mass of new merchandise Ilyrosa brought back to try out, broad smile unable to decrease in size due to her excitement. She couldn't help as a giggle escaped her mouth at the strange amalgamation of sounds that arose from the pile, which only managed to increase her curiosity further into finding out what she could find. Crouching down, her eyes followed some fake dentures that hopped, chattering, around the tile floor. Snorting, she started reaching her taloned hand down, "What is--"
She fell backwards just then, surprised by the loud POP! as the paper snakes jumped from the pile. Her eyes were wide, her throat clenched silent, before she inhaled a series of laughs. Maybe she should have expected something like that to happen, after the incident with the silly string, but it didn't really matter -- she was still having a great time.
Just then, Nina caught the sound of their guardians closing in on them. They weren't exactly being the quietest they could be -- after all, it was hard to be when the floor amplified sound -- but it really put a damper on things. Furrowing her brow, she scanned the pile before picking up a pair of mismatched plastic guns. Hmm, these look familiar... she mused as she stared at them. She remembered seeing a likeness in some book, or perhaps it was television, but she couldn't quite put her finger on what exactly happened to the people on the other end of these contraptions.
She shrugged, clearing her throat to get Ilyrosa's attention before indicating with a sharp nod of her head the direction in which Damon and Ephron were coming. Winking, she smirked, "I'll head them off!" Television, corrupting her mind? Never!
Her back clung to the outside of the nearest shelf as she readied herself. Taking a deep breath, like she had seen in drama and horror media, she twirled into the aisle and pulled the triggers simultaneously. One of them only shot a flag out, decorated in gaudy "Bang!" text, while the other let off a loud sound, similar to an actual gun going off, but only shooting a bit of smoke. Making a dash back to the pile of gags, she laughed, "Always wanted to do that." But now, close to being cornered, was there anything else they could utilize to lengthen the time they could play?

Ily giggled at how the snakes-in-a-can prank not only scared herself but Nina as well. “Haha! Got chu too,” she giggled, falling silent as Nina grabbed the guns, motioned to the sounds of their dads approaching, and snuck off. Drat! If her dad was nearby that meant their fun was almost over! There had to be some way to stall them and have more fun...
Grabbing several canisters that looked like the one the snakes sprang out of, the diligence girl set to work laying out booby traps. They were fairly harmless to both one’s health and property. Well, lasting damage anyways. Once that was done, the sound of the two “guns” Nina had fired off brought the child back down to Earth and signaled that she had to move lest parental hands grabbed hold of her clothes. Before Ily managed to get halfway to the pile of strange objects, a shout from a rather familiar and angry sounding, voice caused the girl to freeze mid-step. Damn it, that tone meant she was in big trouble and it only meant more if she disobeyed him.
Damon didn’t even blink as Nina fired the fake guns at him, knowing that in the entire store the only real one resided out of view on himself. Said gun was also not a bright red or looked like a revolver from the Old West. “Ilyrosa Spectre don’t you dare open another thing!” Damon called out, a dangerous tone entering his voice that only spelled one thing for the child. Trouble. And lots of it.

Although he was still amused by the whole thing, Ephron was beginning to feel flustered. "There's no way the owner's going to let us out of here without paying for the damages," he muttered, sighing. Hopefully the two kids hadn't gone too overboard when it came to opening and using the props, but he honestly didn't know what to expect. He had flinched when Nina had appeared with the plastic guns, but that was mainly due to the fact that he hadn't expected the toys to make such a loud sound. "Nina, get b--" he started, but cut himself off when she disappeared back behind the shelves. Well, at the very least, the two guardians knew they weren't too much farther...
Nina watched Ilyrosa lay down the traps on the ground, a silent but huge grin on her face. She fidgeted slightly, her hands still latched onto both of the fake guns, before she asked quietly, "Need any help with those?" She wasn't exactly sure how she could help with them, but she wasn't above trying her hand at it. Maybe she could grab those fake teeth and set something up with them..? She also would have loved to set up the stink bombs that she saw in the pile of merchandise, but she didn't have a lighter.
She jumped when she heard Damon's voice come roaring from the aisle. "Rosa, he sounds really mad..." she cringed. She didn't want her friend to get in more trouble than they were already in, and now that she thought about it, she wasn't really sure what Ephron would do for her own punishment. "Do you think that we should stop?"

"No, but I'm sure I can pay for most of it. I'm used to this sort of destruction. Well, my wallet is," Damon replied softly to Ephron as he stormed by and out to where the two girls were hiding out. Of course, he hadn't noticed the "traps" Ily had set out and thus ended up jumping as two suddenly popped out of their little canisters.
"Y-yeah... Daddy does sound mad," Ily whispered back, not really scared but worried as to what he'd do. Usually he just locked her up in her room for a day, which quickly bored her and was a suitable punishment for her in a way. She was just beginning to remove her traps as the older man stepped out from the aisle. Uh oh...
"Ilyrosa! Ugh. I'm not going to ask. Just put away the stuff that hasn't been opened or used then we're going home," he instructed, arms crossed and eyes narrowed. "Okies. C'mon Nina, le's put this stuff away," Ily muttered, tail hanging lower than usual as she picked up objects that were the same and belonged in the same aisle. Somehow, she had managed to memorize where everything had been before she took it off the shelves.

Ephron hesitated a moment at Damon's conclusion, but cut himself short before the other man went after the two children running amok. There was no way that Ephron was going to let him pay for this; maybe fifty-fifty, but it wasn't just Ilyrosa that was causing the damage. Despite it probably taking a hefty chunk out of his own wallet, he wasn't about to let that happen. He sighed, feeling a little embarrassed, before following suit down the aisle way.
Nina cringed as she watched Damon set off some of the traps, fingering the hilt of one of the toy guns in anxiety. She nodded quickly to Ilyrosa's suggestion, silently following to gather up the toys in the pile. She wasn't exactly frightened of the man, but rather something else that she held off voicing. Taking the plastic guns in her hand, she started one pile of "used" toys and started sorting them from there.
As Ephron finally caught up, he couldn't help but be a little surprised -- the high energy in the air suddenly seemed to have dissipated. "Well... you really know what you're doing, don't you?" he commended. Strange... Nina didn't usually react to anger like this. She usually just countered it with more anger. At least, that's what he had observed in the short time with her.
Dashing back from helping put the last of the unused toys away, Nina stood next to the shelves that they had used the silly string on, fiddling with the fabric on her skirt. She couldn't help but to voice her worry, at least now that most of the objects that were irritating the men were gone from sight. "I-I'll still be able to see Rosa again, won't I?" she stuttered slightly, pleading. She was the first real friend Nina had ever made, and she didn't want to lose that.

“For the most part I do. You can learn a lot with Ily running around,” Damon replied as the kids ran off to put away the merchandise they had removed from the shelves. As they returned, however, and appeared seriously sorry about what they had done he couldn’t help but sigh. Being a parent was tough when one decision meant either a continuing friendship or a boatload of tears or screaming and kicking. Well, it wasn’t like they were being bad, just... hyper and excited to see all the new stuff and it wasn’t uncommon for Ily to wreak havoc and destruction for fun...
“Well... So long as you two don’t destroy more shops or cause general destruction, I can’t stop you two from being friends. So yes, you two can,” he replied finally, stumbling slightly as Ily tackled his legs in a hug. “THANK YOU DADDY!” she squealed, grinning happily at the three and clearly cheered up greatly from before. So her dad might be angry with her for causing so much damage, but she could still see Nina so long as they kept everything intact for the most part. That was almost enough for her to get over how he yelled.
Almost. “Well, I guess we should go and pay for what’s been used. Doesn’t look like much...” Damon muttered, looking over the few items that remained. Most of the objects could be reused without anyone noticing, but a few really couldn’t. Could have been worse, he supposed as he gathered up some of the objects to take to the front.

Ephron could almost feel Nina's relief, tenseness immediately evaporated, once she heard Damon say that Ilyrosa and her could stay friends. This fact was probably enhanced further once she noticed that Ilyrosa was as outwardly excited about this turn of events as Nina wanted to display. Still unsure about showing her feelings so openly, she opted for balling up her hands to her chest and hopping in glee. "Thank you!" she echoed, as big of a smile as she could muster plastering her face.
As much as the thought didn't even seem to pass by Nina's mind, Ephron grew slightly concerned. Would they act this way every[/t] time they were together, or would they keep hold of their common sense? He alternated his weight on either foot slightly before looking back down on Nina's smile, and brushed the thought aside. As long as they weren't in another store with so much stimulation, it could all be just fine. Either way, they'd cross that bridge when they got there; it wasn't really fair to keep friends apart just because they shot off some paper snakes and silly string.
Speaking of which... he picked up some of the used canisters to take with him to the front. Yep, no way someone could pass some of these off as 'unused.' He frowned slightly, mentally sighing, before his mind came back to the here-and-now with a soft tugging at his cloak. Nina appeared a little anxious, pausing to make sure she had Ephron's full attention before stating, "What about the address?"
He had to think a moment before he understood what she was trying to say, "Oh!" Jerking a little, he handed the used props to Nina as he took out a piece of paper and a pen to scribble down their home phone number and address. Switching hands, Ephron then took back the toys and handed Nina the paper, "Good thinking."
Holding back the urge to squeal in delight, she hastily latched onto the sheet and darted over to Ilyrosa. "This is for you!" she chirped, holding the paper with her contact information on it out to her friend, "This way, we can see each other again!"

Ily took the paper with a huge grin. “Awesome! Thanks! Uh... uh... Daddy! D’you have th’ paper thingy?” she asked, tugging on the man’s shirt lightly with the hand that wasn’t gently holding onto the piece of paper Nina had given her. Damon blinked and stared at Ily for a few moments, trying to figure out what she meant. “OH! Yeah, I do. Uh... Here, hold this,” he replied, handing his daughter the objects he was carrying and pulling out his wallet. Flicking through the various objects in it, most of which he figured he should toss being gum wrappers and lint, he pulled out a slightly wrinkled business card. “Aha! I knew this was in there. Here Nina,” he said, handing the girl the card and taking back the stuff Ily had been holding.
“Now’s we can talk an’ play again!” Ily giggled, bouncing happily. Hey, you’d be happy too if you got the chance to see your friend again after being threatened to never see the other again. Then again, that probably wouldn’t have stopped her anyways. “Bai Nina! See you’s again soon!” the girl said, grinning ear to ear. Today had been a fun day indeed.
