While the snake like colt enjoyed feeling of attention and having others' eyes on him, this would have to be an expectation to it, and a great one at that. He really couldn't say he enjoyed having someone's face smashed up against his. Giving a snort, his body leaning back a bit to put some space between him and Ellial, Zaitus shook his head at the first question.
"No, not really. It's not like I have done anything grand or life changing. Well that, and to those outside my family I don't mean anything to anyone, so for all I know I am just another person existing around here. But who knows, maybe someday that will change, even if it kills me in the end! I mean, don't you have anything, besides flying, that you want to do in your life? Any goals, dreams, anything at all?"

What do I want to do with my life? Ellial had never given the question much thought. He was still young after all, there would be plenty of time to give such a serious question thought upon reaching adulthood...
But the question had been asked, and now his mind refused to let it go. Flight was something that would always be out of his reach, he didn't delude himself into thinking otherwise, despite dreaming of it. "I... wish to gather knowledge."

Zaitus stood in his spot, silence wrapping around him and holding his tongue down from giving the first comment that could possibly pop in to his mind. The answer he was given surely wasn't the one he was expecting to hear from the other foal's mouth. Not after all the interactions he had with him.
From his point of view Ellial seemed more along the slow side most of the time, a day dreamer and someone who really didn't have the attention span to "gather knowledge", at least not without forgetting everything he just learned within an certain time span, but he supposed anything could happen...within reason.
"You want to...gather knowledge, huh? What kind of knowledge are we talking about here?"

"Anything." The colt's lips twisted into daydreamer's smile as he swayed with the soft breeze. He moved in sync with the tall blade's of grass that surrounded them, dancing in time with the many blades.
"Knowledge is precious, no matter how insignificant it may seem." A wistful sigh escaped his lips to be carried away by the breeze. And then just like that, his mind clicked off, and the fog once more wrapped around it. When it cleared up again, he blinked wildly, and then grinned at the other colt. "Hello there!"

And there is was, that stupid little look that meant their past conversation was now gone with the wind. That stupid little look that always pissed Zaitus off every single time he saw it. That stupid little look that made him want to trample Ellial ten times over. That stupid little look that always made him question why he even bothered coming back to the other colt time and time again. WHY!? Why did he always waste time tracking him down and spending time with him when in the end he always left all pissed off about their meeting, why!?
Huffing, Zaitus grumbled under his breath as he glared at Ellial.
"Hello....again."
He was just going to have to get used to this if he was going to keep coming back, and he knew he was...
