There's a live-action disney movie called "Phantom of the Multiplex" or something like that. Never seen it so I can't say if it's for little kids or not.

I saw it a while back. Not a very good PotO rip off, but that's Disney for you.
|If you need me|

It's okay. It's not the greatest PotO adaption, and it doesn't have very much to do with the plot. However it's a decent Disney rip-off to show to little kids.

My school library has a book of horror stories, only toned down for children. "Dead Good Read" I think it was called. Anyway, Phantom is included as one of the last stories. It's not a bad adaptation, except in the picture of the graveyard fight Erik looks like he's from Mars.

I would think that considering it was written as a horror story (which I didn't know until I read the side of my book), they wouldn't make one. Nadir really is the "Silly Persian Man" that we all call him, I suppose.

I DENY THAT MOVIE!!!! It is NOT a legitimate "Phantom" movie, it does not follow the storyline. It doesn't have Erik, even! scream

The only thing really true Phantomy about it is the poster of Lon Chaney in the basement!

hahahaha!

But, yes, it's as Phantomy as the new movie is horrific. (Which, friends, is not at all)

Hmmm...I know there are several comic book adaptarions, I have one of them and it is very good, there is also an olde movie storybook for the Claude Rains movie (not accurate to the original book, but it is how I got into Phantom in the first place)

"Frankenstein Makes a Sandwich" is a perfect children's book that I intend to buy at some point because it's hilarious, amazingly illustrated, and is hysterically morbid at times.

It "chibifies" all the Universal Horror Monsters like Frankenstein and the Creature from the Blue Lagoon and Dracula and writes these sickeningly adorable rhymes to go with them. One of the ongoing themes in the progress of the book is Lon Chaney Erik running about dementedly because he cannot get "It's A Small World" out of his head.

It's utterly charming. I died of laughter when I found it.

I don't know if that book i saw once in a London shop was really a book for children (was incredible expensive!.. ) but there were really splendid illustraction with the charachters of the PhotO pictured as anthopomorphic animals. It was really beautiful to see.
