Now he did shrug, just a little shift of his left shoulder. "I'm your partner and I haven't seen you since we got back. I thought I'd ask," the blond smiled, unperturbed by the harsh rebuff.
Hayes glanced Darkfeather's way when the large mass of feathers sighed. "Better not hold you up anymore." He turned to continue toward his eventual shower with Switch in tow and a "Take care of yourself, alright?"

Totally unimpressed with his attempt at caring, Nikki just snorted. "Yeah, whatever. I've been doing that for years," she muttered to herself.
Shifting her crutch, Nikki looked up as a feathered head leaned over her. She reached up to scratch DF head. "Lets find you something to eat." The bird made an affectionate trilling sound, before the pair slowly made their way down the hall once more.
