Azzo didn't mind someone else offering to pay, he was just raised it was slightly rude. He noticed the grimace. "Sorry" He added softly, "My paren.... grandparents were always old fashioned in their ways." He said, "Always taught me the one to pay should be the guy."
He tried to explain away the tone in his voice. However he lightened up when she mentioned ice cream as a snack. "That sounds good actually." He was debating on what kind he might like.
"As far as unfondness, um... Mostly you know broccoli and egg plant and... asparagus are things I don't really care for oh... and Okra it's a bit slimey unless it's cooked with something else. Otherwise, I don't like overly spicey things, that's my biggest weakness. The rest I'll eat with a smile if I have to." He said and he had actually done it before too, because Grams had fixed it and what grams fixes you don't turn down. As he walked the puppet was still walking beside them occasionally doing little jumps or jigs. Not gone forgotten by the puppeteer.
"I've never actually had duck. I've had chicken and beef though." He said pondering over the question, "But it's whatever you'd like to cook? I'd be your guest." He said pausing thinking, "Do they let boys onto the crystal campus?" It seemed to be a silly after thought but one none the less.

"Well good manners are never a bad thing. My fault for being pushy." -She waved away his apology mildly.-
"Good then!" -She perked up, waving a hand softly as if to lead the way, pace picking up just a step. The small ice cream parlor was close, within a block.
She made silent note of his preferences digging through her mind for some combination that might work the best for both him and Mili. When his question sounded, she paused to think a moment, before smiling sheepishly.- "I've never invited a boy in myself, so I don't know all the rules. But I see them let in sometimes when escorted by a student so I know it's allowed."
"I'm just not 100% sure if you'll be able to stay long enough to eat with us, or if I'll need to pack up your stuff and send it home with you." -She hoped he wouldn't mind if that was the case, though truthfully.. that would allow her to send alot more off with him then he'd probably be able to eat in one sitting. And from the sound of things, left overs might be good.-
"Ohh, there it is!" -She pointed to the small store, decorated in soft browns, beiges, and pinks. It was very small, just a small waiting area and a glass case that displayed the many flavors they had. But it was nonetheless bright. Quite surely bordering on whimsical if they were a bit younger in years.-

Azzo nodded, "So I've been told. You weren't really pushy. I just didn't expect it." He said with a chuckle.
He seemed interested, "Oh, well as long as you won't get in trouble." He said with a smile. Giving a nod when she said she wasn't sure how long he could stay. "That's fine." He said with a smile, "I don't mind having to leave when the rules say." He said with a shrug.
"They're probably just trying to keep you guys safe speically after that rape thing that's going around." He noticed the ice cream store when she sounded excited pointing it out.
He grinned, "Oh, good." He gave a nod as they reached the counter trying to decide on a flavor. "Ladies first." He said with a smile, not minding if he had to wait on her to decide. He didn't know what he wanted himself.

-She nodded in agreement with his words. Things had gotten a little more strict with the school following the sensational story. Aurora had never really minded the structure of the school however. In fact, she was the first to regard those that skirted around them as hussies. Rules and guidelines made for a proper upbringing of proper ladies. While she might have been in the minority, she herself desired to be just that. Proper, ladylike. So if it meant a bit of 'princess locked in a tower' syndrome well.. it really wasn't that bad.
Ecspecially since now a days she got to stretch her legs and freedom late at night. Perhaps she was lucky.
Peering at the well lit freezers she looked from drum to drum of different colors and flavors. She always seemed to have trouble choosing, so many delicious things. Today though was easy enough. She wanted something light.- "A scoop of the rainbow sherbet please, on...."
"just a regular sugar cone is fine"
-She watched as her order was scooped out and placed into the little ice cream holder before turning to see Azzo's selection.-

Azzo seemed to ponder a bit longer, glancing sideways at Aurora's choice before looking back at what all they had. Did he want sherbet or did he want that rainbow vanilla that looked pretty awesome?
Choices, there was also chocolate and mint chocolate chip and ... too many, stupid ice cream places. He settled his mind though, "Mint chocolate chip if you don't mind, sugar cone is fine." He dug out his wallet, pulling out some cash to lay on the counter. Lucky him it was cheap enough. He seemed to consider the fact he was running a little low on cash before shoving his wallet back into his pocket. He'd have to remedy that later.
He smiled when they handed him his ice cream. He waited for his change before grabbing some napkins and passing one to Aurora. "Since ice cream likes to melt." He said with a shrug and smiled before starting on the cone, pausing to ask, "Should we walk while we eat?"
The puppet was back in his free hand. He'd nudged it carefully into an empty pocket when he was fetching the money.

((Mint and chip is my for really fav! Though sometimes I really get in the mood for cute little marshmallows and get Rocky road biggrin ))
"Thanks" -She smiled, extending the short word with a silent look of gratitude, wrapping her napkins for the time being around the cone.-
"Mhmm.. sooner we get there, the more time I have to cook." -She nodded, holding the door of him to exit back out onto the street with before joining him, beginning to lick daintily at the sweet treat.-
"We don't actually get full kitchens in the dorms.. they're more like studio apartments minus the kitchenette, you know. But I've gotten permission from the home ec teacher to use the home ec room when there isn't a class as long as I refill the supplies I use."
-She was prattling as she walked and licked, drawing them ever closer to the large school.-

((I love both mint and rocky road. Though Superman Vanilla is good when you can get it too. XD ))
He nodded and was licking at his ice cream careful to try to catch any drippings as they walked.
"At least you have some sort of cooking ability in the dorms?" He said tilting his head, "Though it sounds like Home Ec rooms are handy too."
He smiled, listing to her as she prattled made the walk less daunting and more interesting. He always liked to hear other people talk more than himself anyways.

"A sink and a simply burner. Basically for making tea, not really for cooking" -The had a counter too, where they could prepare very simple things sandwiches, salads, fruits, etc.- "Most of the girls eat in the cafeterias though, or have personal chefs. The cafeteria food is very good actually, I only really cook because I enjoy doing it and it's nice to have a little variety now and then"
-The parents certainly paid well enough for the girls to be feed something that looked and tasted more appetizing then most anything you'd find on a lunch tray in Hillsworth or Meadowview.
When she'd licked the mass of sherbet down to a more managable little lump the pace of her licking slowed a little, seeming to savor the icecream more than work at it. At one point she even paused to lean a little, pretending to offer some to forgotten puppy puppet with a soft giggle.
In the distance the stately school rose into view over the trees. She'd ate the last few bits of her cone when they finally reached the large and modern looking buildings, digging out the keycard that would allow them enterance.-

Azzo had occasionally taken small bites of his, nomming it down to the cone which he was nibbling on as she talked occasionally licking the bit of ice cream that had hidden inside. "Ohh so it's extra fancy." He said with a grin, "At least you guys sound like you have better food. I wouldn't touch Meadowview's with a 10 foot stick."
He shook his head, "Why can't public schools have decent food. Healthy sure? But they can do that without making us sick." He said he was joking, mostly....
The puppy would pretend to nudge the cone and mock lick at the ice cream, as they passed most people watched curiously until the pair passed.
Azzo popped the last bit of cone into his mouth when he saw crystal over the trees. Eyes wide with sort of a WOAH look. Now that, ladies and gentlemen, was a school. "It's huge." He said looking at the door that kept people out.

"I guess I'm lucky there then" -She mused with a mild smile.- "But I guess that means you aren't even getting one good meal a day from huh?"
"I bet your grandmother will be angry when she finds out what you were eating while she was gone." -Her finger wagged, but the tone of the scold in her voice was teasing.
She nodded a little, watching his reaction with mild interest, before stepping up to the gates, sliding her keycard before she addressed the guards. When they checked they'd find that in her entire semester there this was the first outside guest request. They had no reason or way to deny her request, even if they might have gazed a little suspiciously at the older boy.
Let past the gate she motioned softly for him to follow, walking slow enough for him to take in the sights, but not so slow as to be unproductive. Should they go to her room first to drop off her stuff? Or to the kitchen? A strange sensation touched her at the thought of Azzo seeing her room, being IN her room. What would he think of it? Would he laugh at her stuffed animal? Without noticing a soft pink had touched her dark cheeks.-

Azzo watched her blinking, "Hey.... at least Toast and cold cereal get you through at least breakfast." He said with a shrug, trying to figure out if he should be giving a sad puppy eyed look at her, "She probably will, but I can't help that. She knows I can't cook."
He followed her towards the school and smiled at the guards hands behind his back, greeting them, of course not paying attention to the suspicious gazes. He was looking at the school far more interested in what the rich had that others didn't.
He would follow her where ever and if she wanted him to, he'd stand in the hallway, he had no problem with that. If he knew what she was thinking about with the stuffed animal he would've probably pointed out he played with puppets, he still had the puppy puppet in his hand as well, there wasn't much of a difference.

"True enough" -She mused with a nod. Some people even liked having breakfast for dinner and many cereals were atleast mildly nutritious.- "I suppose there are a lot of foods and places around here that can help young adults get through their college years."
"But you should still be treated to a home cooked meal nonetheless every once and awhile."
-They traveled up three flights of stairs, well lit, with flowers and art pieces decorating each archway that lead down clean hallways. The hallways themselves were fairly boring, clean and functional with doors that all mirrored the next. Very few girls, save a few of the scholarship girls, actually decorated their outer door. Aurora was no exception, they paused before a door that had nothing more then lovely scripted numbers.
Inside was large, clean, the items inside sparing. As of yet Aurora still lacked a roommate, so her items spread through the room. Very few items seemed to be there without purpose except for a few sculptures made of delicate metal, and the large plush bed that ate up an entire corner of the room.
Aurora waited for Azzo to step inside before let the door swing closed, settling her bag against the wall before she made her way towards the small personal refridgerator and the cabinets beside it, digging through ingredients thoughtfully.-

Azzo nodded, as he followed Aurora. There were lots of food places, though fast food every day got old. At least home cooked meals were better than not, and probably better for you than most food places.
He was investigating the hallways as they passed each and finally came to the one Aurora lived on, everything looked.... the same, well save the art pieces and flowers but it must've been hard to live in a dorm like this.
He paused when Aurora stopped, to open a door to apparently her dorm room. He followed standing near the door way out of the way while he surveyed the room and let Aurora do what she needed. "Is it nice here?" He asked peering at one of the metal sculptures with slight interest.

-The sculptures were fairly modern, not so much that they resembled nothing, but enough that they weren't fully cast statues. The nearest was made of delicately swirling coils, a dancer posed in eternal gracefulness, arms lifted towards the sky.-
"I like it quite a bit" -She responsed thoughtfully while procurring a thick filet of beef from the small fridge. Digging around for a few bottles of liquids and spices she continued on almost defensively.- "The school itself is really nice, and I've never been bothered by the rules like some of the other girls. It's peaceful, beautiful... the food is nice and it's fairly prestigious"
-Certainly she couldn't explain about the other ties that kept her here... and others might have questioned why anyone would choose to stay in a place that was slowly becoming filled with crime and danger. All the seasonings gathered, she stood up finally.- "It's definately my favorite of the boarding schools I've been to."

Azzo tilted his head while inspecting the sculpture. She had an interesting taste in art, as most of it seemed Metal.
"That's good to hear." He said with a smile continuing to observe the room and what was there without touching anything or moving too far from the door. It was all so clean and neat everything begged to just be looked at, like a museum almost.
"Schools?" Azzo said with a pause, he had a vague feeling he knew what that was like. For a while he moved with his parents since his father was a military man they had to go where he went especially in the states. Azzo would often fight and try to make it back to Grams when his parents left the states however they'd left him with his Grandmothers since Gramps was no longer living. "Must be tough moving around from school to school... Do you get to see your family?" He asked curiously, knowing not everyone hated their parents, like he disliked his... well half of his.
