A faint knock on her door startled Reyna out of her reverie as she scrambled to see exactly who was there. It was very rare for her to have visitors, and generally it was only ever Wren or Athan that came to her home to see her -- and Athan never knocked. He usually just walked right in as though he owned the place.
That thought peeved her slightly, but it wasn't something she could really focus on as the person she caught a glimpse of through the peep hole definately wasn't Wren, Athan, or anyone else she knew. She took in a deep breath to brace herself and gingerly cracked open the door.
"Yes?" she grated out, visible eye narrowed in suspicion.
"Oh! Hello there. I was beginning to wonder if this was even the right place! Dear me, that would have been quite embarrassing. You are Reyna Crelos are you not? My name is Cha -- Die. Please to meet you!"
Reyna stared fixedly at the talkative man that stood in her doorway. Well, he wasn't so much standing as he was... well.. words couldn't quite describe -- well yes, actually there were plenty of words but none seemed to immediately come to Reyna's mind. her head tilted to the side in a curious manner as she continued to stare at the man with a confused expression on her face.
At best, she expected to find that Athan had learned some manners. At worst, she expected to come face to face with a hunter seeing as there were several looking for her for an assortment of reasons. Instead, there was a medusa standing before her with a charming smile on his rather handsome face. She blinked a couple of times as though to clear her thoughts, but it did her little good. The wheel was still turning, but the mouse was dead, so to speak.
"Dear, are you alright? You look fightfully pale!" Die spoke up, concern written across his expressive features. He allowed himself inside without asking for permission and hauled Reyna over towards the couch by her arm. "There, there. Have a seat and collect yourself and I'll make us some tea!"
TBC.
