Lo's hand was up near her mouth. "My God! She's like a spring." She wouldn't have believed it if she hadn't seen it. With one bounce right after another her grand-baby faded from view. "How good is she at landings?"
The fae ducked on instinct, more of out habit than fear. Though it wasn't sure what was going on, Bailey had to admit it was fun. "Wow. This is cool, Cookie!"

Soon enough the little pair were back in sight, zooming overhead and around in a large circle. Lam snorted, "She doesn't land. I usually have to grab her when it's time for her to come down. Don't worry about Bailey."
Cookie purred again and snuggled the Fae a bit, happy to have shown it something cool.
After a few in-air laps, Lamnishan reached up to carefully grasp the pair - Cookie by her tail, who remained mostly airborne and was half jerking Lam forward. The woman was busy setting Bailey down however and then pulled the toddler girl to her all the way, ceasing the power. "Okay, down you go, kitten. No more boing boing today."
Cookie mewled but immediately slithered over to hug Bailey again.

"Oh, it's not Bailey I'm worried about." She chuckled, a little gleam in her eye. "It's Cookie. Or rather- Oh, never mind, you'll see." By the time she'd finished, Lam was already gone.
Bailey had been giggling with it's arms outstretched. This was way better than flying! And it's wings were happy just to poke at the air instead of supporting anything. It snugged Cookie and rubbed it's head against her own with a makeshift purr.
That was, until it was spooked. Somewhere in it's brain it knew that Cookie's mother was coming to get them, but the shock of being jolted out of that state shifted the fae. Bailey's wings shot out, immediately zooming the toddler up a few feet in full panic. It looked about, slowly calming down.
Almost guiltily it scooped up Cookie and flew with her to the blanket. Or rather, tried. It's wings were very strong, so they barely managed to stay an inch off the ground.

Lam snorted, walking over to lift Cookie's tail and give the Fae the illusion of flying itself and its friend to the blanket. "Okay, down you both go. And behave." she said before going to talk to Lo again.
"I'll see what?" she asked with a bright smile and a laugh.

Bailey nodded seriouslly and dug around for some flowers to show Cookie.
Lo laughed and gestured vaguely to the air. "That was it. Bailey's extremely skiddish so you have to give it some warning first." Beep beep! Beep beep! "Oh my, look at that. We're going to miss the news if we don't hurry it along." When she turned back, Bailey was already ducking behind Lam. "Bailey."
The fae's ears drooped. The news was so boring! Why did they have to go home now?

Lam laughed lightly, walking over to shoo the skittish fae towards its guardian. "Go on, kiddo. Say goodbye to Cookie and go with her. Maybe next time you can stay over our place for a while, but today you have to go home."
Cookie meowed sadly and hugged Bailey its middle. She didn't want it to go!

Bailey sighed and scuttled out into the open to hug Cookie. "We'll pway again, okay? Really soon." It cooed. Why did it always have to go when the fun was getting good?
Sadly, it stepped back with a wave to the group and took Lo's hand for the walk home.
