Ganesha was startled and pleased by her reaction, and saddened by the words he had to relate to her. "I'm sorry, I don't know the rest of the words to the song. I can teach you what I know, if you'd like."(Ack, I didn't actually know anything in Sanskrit or its descendant languages when I mentioned the lullaby. D8 But don't worry, found a lullaby by sheer chance, here's what we'll use.) Ganesha began to sing slowly, enunciating carefully.
Shuddhosi buddhosi niranjanosi,
Shuddhosi buddhosi niranjanosi...

Aer listened carefully with wide eyes. This might be a little difficult, but she was willing to try. Nodding slightly, she stopped prancing and began to repeat Ganesha in a sweet soft voice, "Shuddhosi buddhosi niranjanosi, shuddhosi buddhosi niranjanosi."
She stumbled over the pronunciation, but that was only natural. It was her first time singing in Sanskrit after all. She could only hope she didn't mess up bad enough to upset him.

Ganesha smiled, relieved that she was repeating the words so close to perfect after a first careful listen. He'd listened for weeks to get this far, and Aer was just a marvel to him.

Aer looked at him, happy he seemed pleased.
She continued haltingly repeating after him, "Sansaara maayaa,
Sansaara, sansaara maayaa parivarjitosi
Sansaara svapnam tyaj mohanidraam,

Najanm mrityu tvai sat svaroopay,

Somewhere along the way, he realized he'd actually memorized it and had, for the first time, sung it word-perfect. He grinned excitedly at Aer. "That's it. That was the first time I sang it all the way through. I think you sing it three times through, maybe more or less. Ummm...do you want to sing it together?" he asked, a bit shy and very hopeful that she'd consent to sing with him.

Aer colored slightly and ducked her head. "You really want to sing with me?"
It was strange, she could sing by herself just fine. It didn't bother her, but give her a partner and she turned extremely shy.
"If you're sure, I don't mind."

Ganesha's smile softened, though there was still excitement to it. "I really love your voice." That came out before he could stop himself, and he blushed, a little embarrassed that he was admitting how much he liked her so fast. "I mean, yes, I really want to sing it with you," he said, still a trifle flustered. "Shall we?"

Aer blushed prettily once again and pawed at the ground shyly. "Okay. Umm..do, do you want to start it off?" She felt so shy around Ganesha, which normally wasn't her style.

Ganesha nodded, all but leaping about on his unsteady legs in eagerness.

Ganesha had closed his eyes at some point, lifting his head delicately in song, and as they finished singing, he lowered his head and opened his eyes, as though waking up from a pleasant dream, and he smiled at Aer. "We sounded good together, didn't we?" he asked a little shyly. In his opinion, they'd sounded great together, well, she'd sounded better than him, but still...they did sound great together.

Aer smiled and nodded in agreement, "Mmhm! We did sound great. I bet if we practiced lots...we'd sound even greater!"
Her smile became a beam. Here was a chance to spend even more time with her new friend and he loved to sing, just like her! This was super!

Ganesha's grin was growing wider, and he almost looked rather foolish with happiness. "I hope we sound better, too, Aer." Yesss! A chance to spend more time with the pretty flutter princess who sang so prettily. Before he could really stop himself, he gently nuzzled her, being careful with his unicorn horn to not hurt her or muss her glasses.

Aer looked shocked as she stumbled back. Uncle Claude would freak out if he knew a male outside the family had touched her. She danced away shyly, eyes wide. A lady didn't let males outside her family touch them. Her face red she asked, "Do you want to look for a snack?"

Ganesha felt a little guilty about the nuzzle, but he nodded to the suggestion of a snack. "I do feel a little hungry, now that you ask," he replied softly, lowering his eyes and head a bit. Her dancing away from him in surprise had implied that she hadn't exactly liked it...though maybe she hadn't disliked it, either? This was clearly a difficult subject, and would consider further thought, later. When he wasn't preoccupied with the dreamy filly before him.
