He couldn't help the smile that spread across his maw at her expression, her awe-filled gasps. He quite liked this...liked the feeling that he was making someone else happy will his words. It was a nice feeling.
"Yeah," he nodded, smile only growing into a wide grin at the mention of his family. Big family? "Well, yeah, you could say that..." he chuckled, "I've got five other litter-siblings that my mum had when she was younger. Then she moved to the Bahari'mtoto and found herself a mate, and now I've got 6 other younger siblings. Two of my sisters have had litters too, both pretty big."
Mind him travelling? Taku frowned, "My mother wasn't happy with the idea, at first. But we're all grown up, and she wants us to be happy. I go and visit her every now and again - that's where I've just come from."

"Sounds big to me!" She agreed. "Let me see...I got my parents here, and then I have fourteen brothers and sisters. One of my elder brothers recently had cubs, too, but I haven't met them yet and I'm not sure how many there are, but that makes me an Aunt, too!"
She gave a proud little chirping sound.
"It's good that you visit her and...I guess, even though it is scary to let someone you love go out on their own...if it's what makes them happy." She shook her head. "I mean, don't get me wrong. I love home and I don't want to leave to find another pride. I just...I just want to go on an adventure. To see things like...like that waterfall you described and, visit my mother's homeland and...and just see things. You understand, don't you?"

He grinned, nodding to agree. Yeah, it was big...but woa, fourteen brothers and sisters? That was a lot, he only had...counting on his toes, Takuma counted ten. Fourteen was a lot more, and the surprise showed on his face. "Woa...your mother must be tired."
Her chirping sound was cute, and his smile softened, much more genuine. He liked Laka - she was quite sweet, and she was really genuine. She understood, too. At the mention of an adventure, an idea instantly popped into Takuma's head, and he blinked, surprised at his own intelligence. But...would it seem weird, for him to say that? He'd only know her less than a day, it seemed like a very...forward thing to do. But well, it couldn't hurt to offer, right?
"I...I could show you, if you like?" he mumbled, voice growing stronger as he went on, "I can take you with me - I'll protect you, and make sure you don't get hurt. And then you can come back here again?"

She grinned, laughing. "I know I would be! Mother is a super feline! She and Father adore family, though. Having cubs gives them so much joy. When the newest ones came along, it seemed to have the opposite affect on them. It was like seeing them get younger instead of older. I guess parenthood suits some lions."
She pondered on that, wondering whether she would have her own family someday and whether she'd end up having lots of babies, too.
As her parents had told her during one of her dream rantings; having children was an all new adventure and one that was different for each litter.
And then his next words quite literally stole her breath away. This grand adventurer of many talents would be willing to...accompany her? To allow her the pleasure of an adventure? Really? Truly?! She felt tears of joy well up in her eyes and she struggled to swallow them back. Yes, she had only just met him but she liked to think she was a good judge of character and he seemed...he seemed genuine!
"Really?" The word came out as a hushed whisper, as if spoken in a holy place. "You would really do that, Takuma?"
What could she say? If she said no she knew she'd be full of regret for the rest of her life. This might be her only opportunity to get out of the lands. Her only chance... But, she knew what her parents would say. They would ask questions about how she had met this male. How trustworthy he was. They would tell her she couldn't trust a rogue she had only spoken to for a few moments.
But that wasn't fair! She was almost an adult and ready to take responsibility for her own life! She loved them, yes. But the spirit in her heart that longed for adventure would not be tamed by their love alone.

She seemed...rather taken aback by his offer. Afraid he'd offended her, Taku put his paws up as preparation to defend himself, but instead she seemed happy. Tears...tears of happiness? Her voice was quiet but he could tell there was more emotion in it than he'd thought possible. The lion grinned. "I...y-yeah, I'd be happy to. It gets kinda lonely by yourself. And...and call me Taku, yeah?"
He smiled sweetly. There was surely more to it than this - her parents wouldn't be happy, he was sure. His mother certainly wouldn't have let him. Chewing his bottom lip, Taku nudged her playfully, tail swinging from left to right behind him, "I'll tell you what - I'm going to visit my dad in the Pridelands next. How about if I go visit him for a few days, then come back here and get you? Then you've got time to talk to your parents and stuff? We'll go on an adventure, and I'll bring you back again!"
...Surely it couldn't be that simple?

She leapt to her paws, bouncing with barely containable emotion. Excitement? Nervousness? Maybe a mix of both? But she was thankful for his offer and thankful that he had come by here. Thankful that he had stopped to talk to her when others may not have.
"Taku!" She replied, practically throwing herself at him, pressing her face against his mane. "Thank you!"
And then she was nodding fiercely in agreement. What he said made sense. It'd give her time to bring her parents round to the idea and...well. Eeee!! Was this it? Was she really going to get her adventure?!
"That's a great idea. It'll give me time to sort things out here with my family. Shall we meet back here in a few days? I'll come by every now and then and keep an eye out for you." She couldn't wait!

He smiled some more. This was definitely a nice feeling, something warm inside, a little like what he'd felt when around Kari, only...perhaps more so? It was odd, and he ignored it, concentrating on the situation at hand instead.
"It's alright. Like I said, it gets lonely - company will be nice," he responded, beaming a smile down at the younger lionness as he also stood, stretching his legs out, "Okay. I shouldn't be more than a few days - just gonna say hi to my dad, grandmother, and siblings there. I'll come back to this spot, yeah?"

She nodded enthusiastically. "That sounds fantastic!" She patted the ground between them. "Yep, right here at this very spot! Its not too far from my Clan territory that it'll be dangerous if someone else comes along who isn't you, but far enough away that no one else will see you come by!"
She purred lightly. "Thank you again, Taku. I mean it. This is...well, I'll repay you for it someday. Honest I will."
She took a step back as a sign that they would be parting. "Safe journey!"

Taku nodded, wide grin still on his face. Right here. Okay. He'd do his best to remember! And if he didn't remember the exact spot, he'd just wander around this general area until he found her, or someone he could ask. She took a step back, and he lowered his front half as a farewell, smile big.
"You don't...need to. I'll see you soon!"
And so he turned and left, eager to see his family before setting out on another adventure.
