Devault stopped walking but didn't turn. He already knew that she would have a weapon pointed at him. Her voice sounded toofar away for it to be a sword. A bow? He wasn't completely sure.
"You have a good eye." He said "I would ask what district you are but I don't think it would really matter."
He glanced back and turned to see a girl roughly 16 or 17.
"But then again curiosity killed that cat. What district are you?" He asked.

She hesitates.
"12. This your first time in the games?"
She isn't really interested, simply stalling so she can find out if he was a threat or an ally. She didn't really feel like killing anyone today if she could help it.

He smiles. She obviously wasn't too concerned about fighting today and frankly, neither was he. He moved his eyes from her's and looked up at the tree she was in.
"Yes it is. Two years ago my name was called but a volunteer took my place. He died, so I was lucky. And don't worry," he threw his holsters and his thigh and waist belt of knives on the ground, "I don't wanna fight today."

She removes the arrow from her bow and replaces the weapon on her back. She jumps from the tree.
"Good. I hate it when all the contestants try to kill each other on Day 1."
She grabs her backpack out of a hollow in the tree and opens it up. Inside is a lighter, a canteen, iodine, and several packets of dried fruit.
She pulls out the lighter.
"Well. This could be handy..."

He look her up and down quizzically, sizing her up. He will have to kill her eventually. He removed his pack and examined the contents.
"Night-vision glasses, iodine, morphine, bandages, nuts,and a large empty canteen. That is what I have. You?"
He considered her as an ally for the time being, but one step backward and she wouldn't have to worry about the contents of her backpack.

"Lighter, canteen, iodine, dried fruit...."
Holds up an unusually shaped package.
"And whatever the hell this is."
She untied the string around it and pulls off the brown paper to reveal what looked like a container of medicine. She unsrews the top and give it a tentative sniff. Her nose wrinkles and she quickly screws the cap back on.
"It smells like gun powder."

"Morphine." He said, "We can use that to kill the pain in wounds. And we only have one pair of these glasses. We have to make the most of our limitations I guess."
He looked around cautiously at the sound of crunching leaves.
"We need to get in the tree. Quick!" He said in a hushed tone.
He grabbed his things and quickly and silently jumped u into the tree, several branches high and looked through the leaves.

She zips up her back and jumps into the tree, climbing up as quickly as she can while still being silent. She stops a couple of branches above Devault.

Devault looked up at Celaes. She didn't seem like the type of girl that would be a threat but he would definitely need to be careful around her as the game continued. No one knows when she could turn.

Celaes notices his gaze and smirks down at him.
"Having fun?"
She tenses as the crunching sound gets closer. She draws her bow and aims, waiting for her target to come into view.
