Umm ... Gaia usually runs these events for at least five days. A day or two before the big day and at least a day or two afterward.
I'm not the official word on this, and if you are really curious, you could dig up the announcement. I am too lazy.

That is exactly what I have been griping about. This will take awhile, and I have not found an egg in quite some time now.

It's about 30k for a Easter 2k10 Gambino Egg with the zombie skin in it. 5k for the other egg and about 1.5k for the first one.
I am not going to actively hunt for eggs now. It is not worth the aggravation! Hear that Gaia? I think your event is silly!

...o_o You know! Since he said that, I do believe I've gotten at least 15 eggs!
But Gaia keeps trying to hid them behind ads, so I end up clicking the ad instead of the egg. ;_;

I'm still 39 eggs away from the last one. Granted I havn't been looking that hard, but it's still annoying. It seems like they rarely show up anymore.
on a different note, I'm nearly uber rich thanks to zOMG! hunting eggs there has also given me the change to kill a lot of enemies and racking up gold that way. and then there's the golden eggs which after you get the first one, you get major gold afterwards haha.
still going till the 11th.
