"Kay! Bye Shy-Sky!" the little toddler said, grinning and waving before scampering off in the direction of her green and scaly father. She looked forward to playing with Shy-Sky again!
Akheper scooped his child up as soon as she came into reach. He had to hand it to the boy; he seemed to deal with the never-ending chatter better than he did. Turning on heel, he headed off towards the general area of the grocery store, starting at the top of his to-do list.
