Feeling rather proud of herself, Ama nodded. "Yeah! It'd be no problem at all. I figured, since it's all stone in here, maybe you'd like something a little softer to sleep on. And I'm not about to let you sleep with me." At the last comment, she gave him a play-flirting wink.
"I'll go out and get some decent materials for it."

Thom chuckled, he'd gotten some long grass a couple nights prior which he'd been sleeping on "I think there might be some weaving materials down closer to the water, it's pretty bare closer to the cave" He picked up antoher rock and some of the paste to continue his wall

Looking back, Ama flashed him a bright grin. "Alright, I'll be back in a bit. Shove my stuff where ever you want me to be staying then. And don't drop a rock on yourself please, I'm not good around broken bones." Giving him a wave, she left to go down to the waterside to gather the materials she needed.

Thom laughs and picks up another "I have yet to do that" he calls after her, by the time he saw her re-enter the wall was 3/4 done "Welcome back" he greets her without stopping, looking at the bundle she carried out of the corner of his eye

Looking at Thom as she came in, Ama beamed brightly to him. "I think I have enough to make a mattress, if you're interested." Her arms were overflowing with the long blades from the reeds she'd gathered from. "Wow, that wall looks amazing, Thom." Walking up behind him, she smiled. "Hey, are you going to be making a door for the front? I can make something if you don't want to."

"Thanks" he beamed happily "Yeah eventually, One step at a time, I been hanging a sheet in the door to the back room at night for a lil privacy" he motions the doorway across the room "Not sure what meathod I'll use this time"

Setting the grasses down, she smile and picked up a rock to help him build the wall. "Let me take care of making the door too, ok? I think I have an idea of what to do for it." Handing him the rock, she laughed a bit. "If you don't mind, of course. This is your home, after all. I'm just the homeless person sleeping on your couch."

"Gimme an idea what you got in mind first... If i dont mind it you can" he nods setting the stone and then turned to her "So why exactly is your dad having yet another kid, I thought you made it sound like he was happy as he was"

"Well, I was thinking of seeing if I could, at least for now, get something to cover in front of it. I can make it of grass, or I can see about what the Head Quarters has in ways of providing..."
Looking back at Thom, Ama gave a small shrug. "I'm not his real daughter. Genetically at least. He found me when I was little and raised my by himself. This time it'll be different for him; he has Karma who he loves dearly, and he's having children out of love, not out of a pure accident."

"That should work for now, at least until the colder weather. So yeah go for it" he stops and walks over to a hearby makeshift table grabbbing his drink for a break "Well I suppose that makes sense" he says between slurps "So now he starts all over again... I remember doing that"

Looking at him curiously, Ama walked with him. "Doing that? Thom, what do you mean?" She knew there was a lot that she didn't know about this Pae, but she didn't mind. Something about him told her that she was safe with him.

"Starting fromt eh starting gate with kids after already raising some to adulthood" Thom explains hoping what he said was clear now. "Kids can be a wonderful experience" he says softly and looks out into the distance out the cave's entrance "A true blessing" he adds almsot in afterthought

Watching him, Ama felt her heart ache a little. "Thom... do you miss them?" She looked up at him with gentle eyes, silently reassuring that she'd listen and comfort like a good friend would.

"I'd be a fool not to, but it's been so long, who knows if they'd even remember me" Thom had no idea where all his kids were, nor did he know what had happened to them over the course of years. He takes a deep breath and puts the cup down and walks over to keep working

Listening to him, she smiled softly. "I'm sure they remember you, Thom, how could a child forget their precious father?" As he started to walk back, Ama took his arm and gently pulled him into her, holding him close. "And, I'm sure this miss you terribly. I know I would...."
