Keantha There was another flurry of bubbles as she made a sharp noise of pain, letting go as she bolted for land, a trail of red in the water behind her.

His eyebrows knitted together in confusion, but when he saw the red Kimya knew he had done something terrible. He looked up, watching her go as his lungs burned and soon he was hot on her trail, for going the shore to pop up in the middle of the river with an audible gasp.

Keantha "Kib, oub ob da waber NOW!" She bellowed, eyes wide with alarm as she scanned the water for the great dragon lizards that patroled the waters edges. A thin trickle of blood dripped from her nose, but it would be enough to attract the massive carnivores.

He tilted his head to the side befor shaking it. What was she trying to say? Kimya kicked off for shore, not really bothering to care when he felt something solid underneath him until it bucked, sending him up and back into the water. What in the....?

Keantha "KIB!!" She roared, diving back into the water, eyes filled with fear. Not for herself though, even if she was still bleeding. No, all her thoughts were on getting him to safety.

Kimya whipped his head around to Zana, then quickly turned it back to the gaping jaws opening underneath him. He dodged as fast as he could, and watched as the hair on the tip of his tail tuft was snatched off. The creature didn't stop there. It swarmed on him and more than once Kimya kicked it in the face to slow it down.

Keantha Charging into the swallows, Zana swipped at the bulbous nose hoping to at least turn its attention away from him. "Comb on Kib!"

He didn't waste any time following her lead. Kimya gave it his all to get to shore, but when he looked over, he noticed that a separate croc was getting too close to Zana. Something in his brain snapped. The lion opened his mouth in a silent roar before launching himself on it's back and chomping down on it's exposed eye.

Keantha Caught up in her own dance with death, Zana didn't notice the second croc until he lunged for it. Her eyes widened, but she couldn't take her attention away from the snapping jaws before her, weaving in and out of it's attack keeping the beast's attention.

Once he was sure his prey was thoroughly blinded, he pounced on the next one and repeated his actions. They were close...so very close. Just a little more....and....now! He used the croc as a springboard to launch himself onto dry land. Immediately, Kimya turned around, ready to help his companion.

Kimya gave one last snarl to the beasts in the water before charging off after Zana. The further he got away from the water, the harder it was to breath as his adrenaline rushed out of him like a harsh breeze. It was slowly dawning on him just what he'd done. Hesitantly, he sparred a glance over his shoulder and heaved deliriously. Really? Really?!

Keantha Slowing to a trot, she glanced back at him, her lavander eyes filled with concern, a smear of blood on the end of her muzzle under her nose. "Kim?"

At first he didn't hear her. He was bouncing from paw to paw as he slowly made a circle, stopping with his back to her as he stared slack jawed at the river. He stayed like that for a while, until his breathing had slowed. Cautiously, he looked over his shoulder in concern, nodding to her bloody nose.

Keantha "What? Oh that." She turned her head aside and snorted, blowing out the bloody phlem. "You just caught me in the nose when we were wrestling, no harm done but I knew it would attract the water dragons."
