He'd been meaning to laugh, make fun of her anger. Instead Ro'ark gasped, a series of expletive curses dying on his lips, silenced by the long piercing shot. Growling instead, a low gravely sound, his fingers tightening around the shaft of the dark energy arrow.. Quite a bit more then a lucky shot this time...
His grip tightening on the searing cold arrow, sure that there had to be some form of lighting imbued in the dark energy to make it sting so badly. The arrow vanishing into a cloud of darkness before he could go through the painful process of yanking it free. Leaving a nice long gash in his arm, his hot blood looking more like magma then anything else. " Hah..A lucky skill then! Still you should learn better then to play with fire little one.." Ro'ark hissed as he shot her an angry glare, his smile far gone. Dashing closer to her, and lashing out with a quick series of small fireballs as he finished speaking.

Rylia smiled somewhat, not because the twilef was in pain, no, because she had surely proven him wrong had she not? He had become silent because of this, growling with what seemed to be a scowl on his face. But she didn't care. He brought it upon himself with the laughing and the making fun of her. She didn't like that. Luckily for him though her attacks didn't stay solid for long, watching as her arrow dissipated into what appeared to be clouds of dark smoke. Words spoken soon after it disappeared, a glared directed right at her.
"I wouldn't think-" It was all she could manage to say before the fire twilef, with blood trickling down his arm quickly drew closer to her. He was faster then she thought and paid the price for it as he unleashed several fireballs at semi-close range directly at her. Rylia slid back as she was hit with the first few, being knocked back onto the ground with the oncoming ones, her chest and the front of her arms burned from the fire. It hurt. It actually hurt. More so because of the first burns she had.
Rylia slowly pushed herself to her feet. As much as she'd like to have to run to the nearest body of water and cool off, she couldn't. She didn't speak this time, returning the glare he had shot at her before and held out her right hand. Inside of forming a bow like she had, she fired balls of dark energy, several at them at the fire twilef.

So he'd underestimated her..quite a bit really..Hah, such a strong little female to still get up and continue. Standing in the face of adversity and come out fighting...and fighting quite well, though he'd not dare say it out loud. Ro'ark had his pride to consider after all, and it was starting to get a bit sore from being so challenged by something that looked so dark and innocent.
Eyes narrowing at the female, even as a small respectful smile formed on his lips. The respect grudgingly given of course, but still it was there, and now he had reason to take this fight more seriously then he had before. Taking a stance and stepping to the side as he destroyed the first dark energy ball fired with a blast of his own. Not nearly quick enough to catch the second one as it slipped by his defense and caught along side his leg, crackling as it grazed by his flesh nearly dropping him to his knees.
"Pfft..maybe I'm too quick a judge?" Ro'arks tone clipped as he sliced out at her with a tangled lash of flames, a flashy move as he tried to buy himself time and breath. Apparently he would need some strategy against this one, though he wondered how much it would truly help him..

Perhaps using balls of energy weren't the bets route, but they were quicker to use then her arrows. She shrugged his last attack off and then looked at her opponent, on his knees. Perhaps he just wasn't as good as he thought or....was he going easy on her? No. That couldn't be it. She wasn't about to even let the thought linger on in her head, looking up as he tried to lash out at her with his flames. It wasn't too hard to dodge, not at all. In fact, she merely ran and lucked from the attack, on his right having running on her left. "I would say so" she calmly said this time fired more of the same from before, wondering if truly this method wasn't going to work.

Ro'ark scoffed as the same attack was used against him again, being a bit quicker this time as he took out the dark energy balls with a similar blast of fire. "I'll admit..You do have more skill then luck, more then I want to credit you for." He admitted grudgingly, still giving her a disapproving glare as he spoke "I don't believe I've even introduced myself though, which is oh so rude of me." Ro'ark licked his lips, the slightest of flinches in his step as he moved back further from the female, digging in to the earth and taking a deep breath. "Not that you've been eager to give up your name either"
The twilif offered with the slightest of smirks, the ground seeming to tremble ever so slightly beneath his feet, a sudden spew of fire and rock springing forth like a fountain. Powerfully manipulated by the twilif as it burst forwards, towards rylia. A strained but proud look on his face, as he was determined to at least graze the witchy little female this time....Again there was his overwhelming pride at stake in this matter! He wasn't about to be completely outclassed, not just yet.

She hadn't thought he had any tricks up his sleeves and she paid the price for that mistake. One moment she was on her feet, ready to dodge his attacks like before, the next she found herself taking the brunt of a sudden spew of fired aimed right at her. It burned. It pained her. And she didn't like it. It was her fault that she had made too early an assumption as well as her attack before missing. She was careless, pushing herself to her feet, she was going to go back to her tactic of using arrows, before fired it off before it was ready. She doubted that one would hit. She needed to get her act together...and fast.

Ro'ark smirked lightly, stumbling out of the path of the badly fired arrow as he tossed the girl a smug look. "Oh, forgive me..that was a tad too hot wasn't it?" He felt a tinge of regret for the girl, maybe he'd overdone it a bit with that attack. It was what she got for striking out at him though!
Huffing softly as he readied himself for another attack, a look of surprised bewilderment coming onto his face as his powers frizzed out on him. Not able to conjure more then a small insurmountable spray of sparks. "Ahhn.." He'd used up far to much of his power on that last attack!

Rylia tried to straighten herself up, but just wasn't able to recover yet. She attempted another arrow, but it didn't even materialize that time and luckily for her he didn't get anything out of his next attack either. This was becoming ridiculous. She could stand more then this...couldn't she?!

Ro'ark growled to himself softly, standing there and staring at rylia, panting softly as a deep frown overtook his features. "Apparently..we are at a standstill..Once I catch my breath though!" the male twilif huffed softly, ember eyes shifting between the female and the ground. At least there were no more arrows forth coming for the moment.
No luck for himself either! Focusing again on bringing up fire from within, and still there was nothing. How could he have used up all his power, surely he had more energy then this. Enough to defeat at least one opponent? Tsk..how pathetic...
