Her interest and admiration for his story made her all the more attractive to him, his mind was practically made up after one chat with her and he didn't feel the need to be more patient or wary of it. Details could be worked out later but for now, the more she warmed up to him the better. He offered a sympathetic frown to her as she told her story, nodding.
"At least we're willing to do something about it," he said, "Even if it was leaving. I'd love to hear more, but let's go meet up with Ka- she's the lioness I'm traveling with." They'd have plenty of time to chat. They might not have so much in common with Ka but she was fair company and he wouldn't just leave her because he found possibly better company.

She smiled, nodding. "You're right. Most would have done nothing at all."
Her ears lifted and she followed him, trying to match his stride as best as she could. "But yes, there'll be plenty of time to talk later I'm sure." She purred. "Let's meet this companion of yours." Tabia would probably be shocked when she realised who this companion of Ahnik was like. An unlikely friend to be sure.
"I have to say I am curious to see what she is like." An equally ambitious character, she thought to herself? Or maybe someone who was just lonely and seeking companionship in Ahnik just as she was.
"Lead the way, Ahnik."

"Oh, you'll see," he said, shaking his head and imagining the reaction Tabia would have when she met Ka. She didn't seem like the type who would get along too well with someone who behaved and took care of themselves as Ka did, but then appearances could be deceptive. It would be interesting.
"This way," he said, leading the way.
