Kaicho, crew status is completely irrelevant when you look at the stats:
Taking Nukes out of the equation, it would be a close fight but the USA would win the initial conflict due to superior air and Naval power.
The Air War has to be won first in modern warfare. The US Air Force and US Navy aviation force is very large and sophisticated. British air assets are also advanced but limited in numbers. And the US Navy has the three components of modern warfare: Sea (the most superior Navy), Air (combined with Marines, the strongest and most powerful air fleet), and Ground (provided by the Marines).
Britain has about 350 combat jets. The US has over 1,000 F16's alone. Never mind all other types such has F22, F15, F18, B2, B1, B52. Along with the Marine Corps providing Close Air (AV8B Harrier) and Heavy Air (KC130 Hercules) support. US Naval logistical support and mobility is also a big advantage for them.
The only way to counter the US dominance of the air would be to use special forces (SAS) to disable US air assets before they take off which wouldn't be easy when the US counters with SEALS.
If (hypothetically) the war was a ground war with no air or sea component then the UK would win. But throw Russia in the fray, and we're ALL f**ked.

Ingfire, you talk about how how you are not disrespectful. i saw some of the stuff you wrote and that was verry disrespectful. i am a college student, and i have been for the past 2 years, i don't go out drinking until one am or party until dawn, but i am one here having fun with you guys, while studying. i keep a good grade point average and have fun Role Playing with you. in fact, i just got into the nursing program, because of my grades. right now we are all putting our futures at stake, but what fun it is doing it. i love rping, and for you to attack me like that, was definitely disrespectful.

This is one of those dot dot dot moments. Anywayz, let me begin."DARN IT ALL!" I missed the meeting, oh well. Ingfire, what you did may seem fine to you, but it was very harsh to whoever you were talking to. Your a cool person, being in the military is cool, etc, etc. Point is, it came across as rude, and if Enshara insulted you, well, then you might've insulted her. Plus, if you go against Enshara guild wise, you'd always loose because she's second in command and what-not.

Damn I should've posted that I read it when it came out... Now i feel all awkward about walking in at the middle of this. First off I read it, secondly props to Ingfire, I'm actually in the Marine Corps right now so thumbs up to a fellow US soldier, and a Navy Officer at that. However time management is one of those things that you should work on a bit more, just so you stay active in this guild a bit more. For instance I do pt at like 4am just so it doesn't interfere with my job and/or work, and I still come on here for a few hours each day. As for the disrespect thing, I can't really say much because I'm new, but if someone feels you have disrespected, due to the fact that we are all different and have different views, you should apologize and regain that trust before it severs even more, especially if you didn't mean for any disrespect. I guess that's all I have to say, Zoro out!

Ingfig…you’ve been very mean to me before. In both the guild and pm’s. I don’t know much of what happened with Enshura, well any thing other than her language that you just shared with us. But if you talked to her the way you talked to me, I’m gonna have to side with her weather she’s right or not. Heh.
As far as the war thing goes…. Please don’t start another, I was scared when my uncle was called back to the army, and had to go to Irack [can’t spell it..] and Afghanistan. My cousins a marine, just finished training, and my first cousin and my best friend in the world, is in JROTC, he’s actually getting a award for doing so well on it. But, anyway I’m off topic… I think the US would win…you have to count the alien space crafts they have in area 51 along with everything else! Lol. [that was a joke, I don’t think they actually have any… but I think I’ve seen one….scary.] But hey I’m just an artis with a lot of family in the army, navy, air force, and marines, so don’t listen to me. Hell my dad has seen air crafts in army basses that he can’t talk about…or at least I think… He gets to work on air basses some times when they need insulation work done.
And on the promotion thing. THANK YOU THANK YOU THANK YOU!!!!!!!!! I’ll do my best. But I can’t set up any of the topics in the 5th div, or anything like that. [Div sub forum links don’t want to work for me for some reason. crying Haven’t for a while, I hoped it would work again but it doesn’t look like it’ll do that. I’ll report it to the gaia staff though.] It’ll be hard for me to be active at the moment do to some family problems but I’ll stay as active as I can… I love being on gaia, it’s the only way to get away from the chaos that is my life.. *Sigh* Well that’s about all…..Dang I wrote a lot….lol

I'm not attacking anyone or trying to be disrespectful. Athena I'm not saying that you specifically are one of those lax college students, its just a perspective thing, pretty much everyone here has that viewpoint, and we get a lot of s**t about it. Civilians think they have it rough, but compared to what we do, its next to nothing.
Mostly what i sent to Enshara was my venting on basically how I feel unappreciated for what I do, and I only got one warning about being demoted, which I responded to immediately. I never attacked her or insulted her, but she lashed out at me viscously.
Zoro, props to you being in the USMC, i respect that. But I have loads of Ivy League schoolwork ON TOP of military duties.
Yunna, I've never tried to disrespect you, but whenever I've attempted to correct things such as your spelling or roleplaying, you've taken that as an insult, and I'm just trying to help a fellow guild member.
I have formation so I'll be back later.

You, my friend, have just gained SOOOOO much respect from me. (Granted, not a military person, never will be, still in High School ((FRESHMAN!)) but I have friends who are going to be in the military, so I'm all for it if they want to go.) And honestly, Ingfire and I have at least one thing in common - GRAMMAR NAZISM! smile (Edit: Speaking of it, Ing, you have viscously in your post... xD Viscosity is the speed at which a liquid flows -- I feel so smart.)

i know that you were not personally attacking me about college, but what you said is a stereotype that Hollywood has put out there is what upset me last night. i understand that you have drama since you are in the military, (which i respect that you are doing for the country) but you say that we don't know, well you don't know what s**t I've had to go through this week. Hell you don't know the s**t that the rest of us go through on a daily bases, and if you want to know the kind of s**t i have gone through this last week, pm me and i will send you a story that will blow your mind. you say that civilians think they have it tough, you'll see why this one has it tough.
Fireball, it is not that Enshara brought this up, she was just the one to pm and demote Ingfire, in fact it was i who brought up inactivity every time.

Kaicho, only thing I have to say about the central 46, and what you all do in their, is to first run it all by me. Such as if you find something in need of punishment, bring it to my attention, so that I know what is going on, and then bring up the punishment.
Ingfire, I have noticed what you did with the pm, you took out somethings you have messaged to enshara, and some of what enshara messaged. I find what you said rude as well, but what you have said to enshara did not effect your seat as captain, that was already declared before hand. Personally I have nothing against you, and my brother, and my best friend are in the navy. My family is largely military, and if it wasn't for might height, color blindness, and what not, I would have been in air force like my grandfather. So for all military people, I hold respect, such as towards Kaicho, yourself, and even Zoro now.
Now the warnings should have been made more so than once, but you know how things get, sometimes something forgetful happens, which I am one to give two warnings and if improvement is not seen, when improvement is told to happen, then I usually take things away.
Now your message, and I will go into a more detailed look of how to speak about it without making an attack, or calling total disrespect coming from you. I can understand stress, trust me when I say I really can. So don't think civilians don't deal with as much, or even more stress than you, because in all honesty to say something like that can be very ignorant, and I know your not that kind of person. Your message had been filled with releasing stress, this I understand, and I know personally that is needed. Which is why I will be opening another thread for people to post in, which it should not take long for people to vote it in. Your stress relief in the message with Enshara was wrongly placed, and I understand that, but that doesn't completely excuse you from doing it. It could have been handled much better, we both know this, infact alot of people know it. So if you apologize to enshara, I cannot promise you she will do the same thing though, but she might apologize to you as well.
Now Ingfire, your seat has been taken away, but that does not mean you cannot get it back. I am a person to give chances to people all the time, but not freely give them, they are earned. So if you can prove yourself to the guild, the council, and me, then your captain seat can be returned, if metalfist wishes to give you your captain's spot back, and take another one, or if you want to try another squad.
One last thing, this Kaicho vs. Ingfire war stuff, I want this conversation to be less of what looks serious. America and Brittan are comrades. So if I see this conversation get out of hand, Reddeye will get pissed off, and when I get pissed off, there will be issues, and you both don't want to deal with me when I begin issues with people. This is true on and off gaia, I am really not a person to anger, or annoy to an extreme. On gaia you will be both placed on a Probation period, where you will be watched closely by me, enshara, kage, and who ever I ask to watch you both. So if a screw up is seen, double time will be added, then a suspension of a week. So, you can truly continue on, only if you both tell me it is jokingly, but if you both know in your hearts your not joking, state it as soon as possible, and then apologize to the other person for what could have been taken out of hand.

I can fully understand where Ingfire is coming from on some of this, because I have had similar experience as far as giving advice and people getting upset. I'm not all that good at working with people at times, and I will say something, with good intentions, that can easily be taken as a great insult. I don't know all about what happened to Ingfire, but I can understand that much of it.
There are some people that will hear what you have to say, and follow it, and thank you later. But there will always be others, who don't like what you say, and throw it back in your face.
In the end I have found the only way to really resolve the matter, is to make a mutual understanding, that you didn't mean to be insulting. Sometimes the person will come around and take your advice, sometimes they won't.
As far as military vs civilian goes, I don't think either really has the right to claim greater troubles. Yes, the military has it tough, they go out and fight, and die, for people who often don't even appreciate it. But the civilians also have their troubles, they also go out and work hard. Neither can continue to live without the other. The military keeps the civilians free, so they can continue their daily lives. The civilians keep the military supplied, so they can continue to fight each day.
I also wish to join the military some day, and seeing people cut down the people who fight for us, is one of the few things that is capable of making me truly angry. But that still doesn't give the right to attack someone for their ideas, no matter how much you want to.

Redd if you read Dakota's post, he was just messing around and trying to set up a joking battle between us. It's like a political battle between Republicans and Democrats, in the end they're on the same team and have to work together. Or the Army and Navy, we have a HUGE rivalry between us, but its all in good fun. Honestly, I think we'll all be f**ked if Russia goes all out and attacks the US without the UK's help. (Reference to Modern Warfare 2). Really not sure why you took that so seriously Redd...I thought you were a joking person...
I didn't realize I had removed anything from the PM, I'm pretty sure I copied the whole thing.
And Redd joining the Air Force, now THAT would have been a frightening thought...
I do apologize if the PM seemed harsh, but I'm dead serious, I've been getting a lot of s**t about what I do, and people think that what I'm doing right now is pointless. I'm not saying that civilians DONT have stress, I'm saying that its a much different kind, and we all take stress in different ways. My stress is not only my academics, but also my career, my family, and my friends. Do you know that I'm not allowed to leave my Campus except from Noon to midnight on Saturday's? Along with that, I'm not allowed to drive, drink ANY alcohol, wear regular clothes, listen to music, watch movies, play video games, or engage in...other activities to appease my mood. It's like a prison here, and it's just a lot of weight to carry.
I've been one of the lucky people to never have any family issues, my parents are still together after over 30 years, and still happy. I have a little sister who is 13, and right now I'm unable to watch her grow up except seeing her intermittently once every 2 months. I have too many friends that have family and life issues, heck even a good number of my high school friends are borderline suicidal, so please don't think I'm an uncaring p***k. I have feelings and am one of the most empathetic people you'll ever meet. I listen to people's problems all the time, and try to help them out as much as I can. So yes, Athena, if you want to vent on me, go ahead, but I probably won't be as receptive to it since this whole situation has put me in a crappy mood.
I meant that message to Enshara to try and assert my position, and how unfair it was to begin with, seeing that I was demoted after one warning which I explained. But I did not deserve the completely inflammatory response I received from her. I was mature enough to state my point without anger or the use of vulgar words, and I tried to be civil. Enshara did not reply in the same manner...
As for regaining my Captain's spot which was unfairly taken from me, I'll have you know that I'm trying to free up time in my day to become more active. Ironically enough, this whole issue had to pop up right after my 12 week exams had finished, so this puts a definite halt on my motivation to do anything now, seeing as I've only received true empathy from Dakota, which I appreciate.

Well I am usually the laid back type, but something has happened to me lately, and I am not in a compete joking mood just yet.
Ingfire I know what has happened to you is unjust, so if you wish, we can have a revote on this, and your side of the story will be placed down. I will give you this because you are my friend, and because you were not officially warned twice.
So think of this as your official apology. So we can either have it posted right here to see if people truly believe we should give you an apology such as giving you your seat back, and making metalfist a captain of another place, or what not. We will take it slow of course, so nothing will cause a major issue in the guild. So you get to choose if we vote this in universal hall, or right here, right now.
