Uranophane's weapons had, fortunately for her, been left unsummoned when she transformed -- if she'd brought them out, they'd probably have slipped from her grip and onto the grass. Her hands, and her entire form in general, had gone completely slack from the shock, and she managed to spend a good ten or twenty more seconds standing there looking entirely stupid before her composure returned and she could properly respond.
Needless to say, she had not been expecting this. The General-King's order had been decidedly strange, but she still thought she'd be meeting with Vera in a normal Negaverse uniform with a normal Negaverse crappy excuse for a weapon.
And here she was. A goddamned senshi.
"Vivianite," Uranophane started, taking an awkward glance at the proffered hand -- and that's as far as they got with the handshake, the Lieutenant regarding it with an awkward scowl twitching down her lips. "No... Vera. I knew there was something special about you, from the day I met you."
She looked back up.
"I just wasn't expecting this..."

Vivianite was confused by her new teammate/keeper's reactions, right up until Uranophane called her Vera. Suddenly, a lot of things made sense and there was an almost audible click sound as the pieces fell into place.
"Janice?" the senshi said, almost matching her friend's note of incredulity. "Someone has a very bad sense of humor," she muttered, powering down and utterly confirming that she was, in fact, Vera Valentine.
"I think some things need explaining," Vera said quietly, waiting for Uranophane to turn into Janice or however this worked. "Thank you Grendel," she said after a moment, turning to smile at the cat. It wasn't his fault that things had not gone as planned, for anyone. He'd done his best, and the teen was grateful for that. And... "I'll see you again, yes?"
She really hoped she'd be seeing the cat again. She liked him, for whatever reason.
