Yugi sat beside him and sighed slightly. "No I guess they aren't..." He responded putting a gentle hand on Damon's leg. "Khai... We just have to go along with it. I guess... and hope it doesn't change us."
He looks over and smiles slightly. "No, it wasn't your fault, Khai. Really... things just... didn't turn out how we hoped. You couldn't of known."

"Yugi, it is my fault!" Damon insisted, turning to look at his friend almost desperately. Yugi would never survive if he stayed so passive, and the thought terrified him. He wanted the other to let him shoulder the blame, to actively blame him. Anything but to be so pleasant about it. "I didn't look into everything. I just went with what limited information I'd heard, and now we're both in this mess. I was the one who dragged you into it."

Yugi frowned slightly before touching Damon's shoulder. "Khai... really... it happens. We'll figure it out and we'll get out of it I'm sure. For now we can just pretend to be part of them. After all, you and I are at least together again, right?" He gave a warm smile. "It'll be fine."

"But it shouldn't have happened at all, Yugi. I took everything at face value, and now we're both suffering the consequences," Damon intoned, shaking his head and absently lifting a hand to rub circles around his temples. "I don't think it'll be possible for both of us to get out of this... But if either of us ever gets the chance to get out of this, I want you to take it. I can get through this, even if I have to do it alone."
