Would you allow the Factotum class from Dungeonscape on pg. 15?

Biological_Warfare Would you allow the Factotum class from Dungeonscape on pg. 15? Unfortunately, No. The reason for this is I do not desire to have to familiarize myself with another class ><, Nor acquire another book or character info, and such and such. Question though, isn't the Factotum a jack of all trades? Why not a bard? I'm assuming the factotum is either something else entirely, or just a suped up version. Hell, I'd love to run this game using the Pathfinder system >.> Doubt people would want that though >.> or would they, lol.

Well, if you'd allow the summoner class, I would love to play Pathfinder.
It is a jack of all trades, but it's quite different from the bard. For one thing, the Factotum class skills is the skill list. He gets a pool of inspiration points per encounter that he can use to provide bonuses to pretty much anything for one round. He can use a sneak attack, heal, turn undead, damage undead, and cast a spell from wizard list(at level 20, he can only cast 9 spells/day total).
Do you have the Complete Warrior? Because I'd like to use a Druid 6/ Warshaper 3.

I'll make a poll for this thread now.

Whether it be Pathfinder or traditional 3.5, is alright with me. When I created my character, I did it in 3.5. So if its gonna be in pathfinder, tell me sooner than later so i can make the modifications to it. Either way, I'll probably play this character the same way as I intend to.

I think honestly that it's going to stay 3.5, but I just wanted to try things out, lol.

Personally, I'd like to try Pathfinder out, but, since I haven't created any character sheet yet, it'll be just as easy for me either way.
My summoned monster will eat your soul. Friendly like.

It would be nice to try out, but I have no clue what pathfinder is...haha. And I just need to buy my character some things and he'd be ready to go

Biological_Warfare rolled 8 8-sided dice:
2, 3, 4, 1, 5, 2, 2, 8
Total: 27 (8-64)

Why do I always forget hitpoints.. ><
Oh well, anyway, I am sort of debating on allowing a choice between rolling or taking average.
But in general I suppose I would just like to do Average.
However, lets do it this way.
All hitdice grant average hitpoints, thus a d8 grants 4.5 hitpoints, when calculating total hitpoints the half points are taken into consideration only if they add up.
Thus if you have 1d8 = 4 hitpoints, however, 2d8 (level 2) would give you 9 hitpoints.
4.5+4.5 = 9
OR you can roll, HOWEVER, no rerolls what so ever. Thus a 1.. grants you a 1.
I'll update the front page with this information, and a quick recap.
You may opt to roll for hitpoints on the recruitment thread or you may just take average. Also, you can make this decision at every level. Thus you could take average, roll, then take average again.
Side Note: Anyone who has already rolled hitpoints and wishes to take averages for only some levels and not all of their Hitdice, must reroll the rolled hitpoints. This is to prevent people from saying, "Oh, I rolled a 1 here, I'll just take average for that hitdice". That would be cheating >.>
Edition Update
Because of popular vote (the players who gave me their votes over msn, and my final decision) We will be sticking with 3.5 -Pouts- Had this game not been a sort of relaunch, I would have went Pathfinder with it. lol I like pathfinder, it is the awesome.

Oh, then I'll just take the average for all of them then. And I've finally settled after a while on exactly what I want biggrin
Elf Druid Variant- Druidic Avenger (Unearthed Arcana pg. 51) Druid 5 Master of Many Forms 3 Warshaper 1
Checking to make sure you'll allow the variant.
He's got an Intelligence score of 8, and I'll be playing him kinda stupid as well. He's really more animal than elf.
A Pathfinder game could be made, one more amazing than any game before.

Probably would be, and then I'd allow you to use my Druid Variant instead >.> lol If you wanted it, hey maybe you could give me some feedback on it. Anyway, the reason I won't go pathfinder this time around is because I have two players already set up with 3.5 characters, and I'd have to go and do all the conversions and such >< Plus they both voted 3.5 so yeah. I imagine because of the conversions for their stuff. But anyway, lol. Variant approved.

Depends on what your Variant is. I really just want to get rid of the animal companion. The loss of the spontaneously casted summon nature allies spells hurt though. I like the rage though, fits with the character.
I meant create an entirely different game and use the Pathfinder system. You'd have one Summoner with a sneaky sneaky beast ready to play mrgreen

Well, my bonded wildshape variant is actually in this guild forum. I posted it however, I'll link ya, lol. http://www.gaiaonline.com/guilds/viewtopic.php?t=18512217I have yet to have any real comments on it after I actually pounded out a simple variant. I'll think about running another campaign, similar to Tomb of Horrors but using pathfinder after we complete this one. I'm still a relatively new DM so this campaign will be a good learning experience for me. lol.

Oh, that was Pathfinder, so I didn't know. Made a post though.
What do you mean by complete this one? I have a friend who's been playing the same campaign for 10 years.
