"Oh, I'm sorry. You're just so small and adorable I assumed you to be a kitten!" She looked apologetic, disliking the fact she had just assumed like that. She really should have known better.

But before she could even say it was a pleasure to meet the small cat named *********, she'd barely been able to apologize honestly, the manx jumped into a back flip! Okay, so now maybe there was an even bigger hint of amazement towards the cat. Until the rough landing and the amazement turned to worry for the small creature's health.

Of course the cat showed herself to be just fine, she wasn't surprised really, and poked her head out with a pen. Which she thought to be quite adorable! She had a secret love for pink that showed only when she was decked out in colorful baubles and the like.

Kneeling down, the blonde girl gently took the pen from the awaiting cat and looked it over. "What do I do with this?"

She went to ask what the Negaverse was, and if the pen could actually write, but the cat laughed and told her it was merely a joke. Well, it was nice to know that the feline had a sense of humor.

Looking at the pen, however, she wondered why she had to shout. She herself was never prone to actually shouting at all, her voice was always gentle and soft. Though the with feeling bit she was sure she could do. Especially since the pen seemed to give off a sense of power, and made the fuzzy buzzing in the back of her head stop.

Though it was hard to fully concentrate when one watched a cute little tailless cat just toss herself into the garbage.

Glancing down to the pen once more, Melody sighed and tried to muster up as much feeling as she could. Though really, wasn't doing such a thing a little silly? With a shake of her head she forced herself to concentrate.

"Lacrimosa Power, Make-up!"

She was starting to get rather annoyed in how the empty outlines of the buildings wouldn't allow her an easy time locating the source of the black waves. It was up high, that much was obvious. But how high? On what building? Surely it couldn't be in one of them... she wouldn't be able to see the waves!

Metis bit her lower lip, continuous pacing and scouting bringing her back around, yet again, to the alleyway ********* and the girl had gone down. Glancing down only once on one of her previous rounds, she'd felt a trill of wonder and curiosity to see the two down there together - doing what, she could only assume. Talking? It would explain why ********* lead her away from the public eye. The idea that this girl was another senshi was starting to make a lot more sense, one that now began to prompt her to pause in her dizzying routine. Another scout meant another pair of eyes to help find this thing. Or perhaps ********* could better find the creature that was causing the brunette to want to pull her hair out?

Her vision flared with sudden influx of light from within the alley, halting her as she watched a mass amount of... what were those? Leaves? Petals? Small dabs of green, silver flickering through them, danced around the now copper girl with silver tendrils newly in her aura. A senshi. Metis' unseeing eyes turned to the petals as they began to fade, brow perked.

She might have gotten to hear the name of the stranger, even her sphere, if not for the sudden thickness of black waves that intruded upon the scene. Still not close enough to warrant an immediate threat, but she followed them, up, up, up, past the faint outlines of the buildings and... into the sky?

She paled when she located it, a large bird. It was swooping down, circling bit by bit. The creature's target was obvious - them. Metis hadn't been the only one to notice the girl henshin up. Memory flicked, and she sighed. Senshi starseeds. Two for the price of one. At least it would focus on them instead of the civilians, she could call that a saving grace.

"*********, it's coming," she called down below, not letting her eyes stray from the youma. "A bird." Her mind was swirling. Blind it... then what? Could the other scout attack to injure? What if she couldn't? Improvise.

The youma wasn't in her range yet, though it would be soon enough. It opened its mouth, a screeching call reminiscent to a rooster impaling her ears. Wincing, she lifting her hand to her tiara, focusing her attack. Moment the monster was in range...

...youmas don't go after guardian cats at all, right?

Why did all the emergencies in life have to happen when you were trying to be polite?

********* wanted to reply to the girl, but unfortunately was unable because of a familiar voice calling out a warning. Two cat ears twitched.

"Take the phone" was the first direction. Quicker the girl took the phone, the quicker it could be put away. "Do as I say now, questions later!"

The cat turned to face the threat, and in a firm (yet still surprisingly friendly tone) she told Lacrimosa what to do. "Use your Sakura Rain and push the Youma towards the building." Her request might have been a bit much for a beginner, especially a newly awakened senshi, but ********* knew you never babied someone unless you wanted them to work below expectations. Bravely, the cat bounded out from the alleyway, as if to encourage the pinked suited senshi to do something similar.

Snagging said cellphone from the ground, Lacrimosa moved to follow the tailless cat down the alleyway. She wasn't sure if her attack could do as the cat said, but hey she was up for trying. Especially since the cat seemed to know more about her ability then she did, if ********* knowing her attack name was any indication.

She paused, however, when she heard the girl on the roof call out an attack (wasn't she supposed to wait?) that was followed by a bright flash of light. She made a note to ask what the attack had been after this was all said and done. Only to realize in horror that the bird was dive bombing for herself and the cat!

For a split second she could feel panic creep up before she squashed it down in a fit of ire. She didn't know if ********* knew the monster was coming and she wouldn't risk the cat getting hurt either way.

Putting herself in between the feline and the giant bird, Lacrimosa threw her hands in front of her palms out. "Sakura Rain!" It was a quick action, with little to no thought and sent the concentration of her attack straight at the incoming divebomb. Let's see how it liked this.

She really needed to work on her timing. Really needed to work on that. Horror and worry melted into relief (and a good bit of awe) as she watched the new senshi's attack fan out, blind eyes following the trajectory of the equally blind youma as it was now being nudged into the building she was standing on. Though nothing but metal and bricks were there to greet it, Metis still took no chances and hopped off and down into the alley Lacrimosa and ********* had just exited.

The black waves that helped to light her way out of the alley were sputtering, fragmenting as the loud cracks and bangs of the demon bird's body hit the wall resonated through the area. Her heels ceased their clicking as she drew up near *********, attention remaining on the youma only as long as it took for its life energy to stop emanating from it. The black glowing body flickered, its limbs twitching, and all faded away into nothing. Dead. Neck probably broken by the face-plant.

Metis looked first to the cat, then to the other girl, with the utmost apology on her face and soon out of her mouth. "I'm sorry, I should have realized it wouldn't react well to being blinded." No injuries seemed to have resulted from the mistake at least. Her head lifted and turned to Lacrimosa, taking in at last what details she could make out about the other's uniform and general appearance with a friendly smile sliding into place. "What a wonderful attack! Great job."

The feline had stood her ground firmly, and soon enough the energy from the Youma had completely disintegrated. With a relieved sigh, the cat turned first to Lacrimosa, then to Metis as she approached. The manx had a smile curling upon her maw, but nothing remotely similar to the infamous chesire cat variety.

"No apologies, Metis!" she chuckled before bounding over to the familiar Senshi, headbutting the laced up white boot on her left leg in a friendly manner. "You did what you thought would help, and it all worked out, right?"

Pale green eyes shifted back to the pink-suited senshi, only to catch her make a mad dash for a trashcan. It was curious, but when the heaving sound of the girl expelling the contents of her stomach into the trashcan made itself evident, two ears flattened rather easily against her head. At least Sailor Iris wasn't here. She probably would have laughed and made some sort of inappropriate comment. Sympathetically, the cat padded over to the newly awakened senshi and rubbed up against her leg.

"Violence isn't for everyone, Lacrimosa... but you are definitely needed in this fight, just like all the other Sailor Scouts."

She smiled at the two, glad they seemed to understand her predicament. But really she was hoping her stomach would settle sooner then she knew it would, it was embarrassing to think that after every battle she might have to find some place to throw up into. Or, gods forbid, during a battle.

"I thank you both for your kind words, really. And I promise you I understand I'm needed." A glance to the cat. "Otherwise I wouldn't have been awakened, right?" Hands folded in front of her, she quickly shifted to hold out a hand in greeting to the other senshi.

"It's a pleasure to meet you as well, Metis. Thank you so much in helping to fight the youma." She'd get used to fighting despite her pacifistic nature, she'd have to.

But now that the fighting was over her question from before had returned and she glanced to ********* yet again. "I have a question, if that's okay?" Was this what the cat thought it would be? The question about this being just one ******** up dream?

"And I understand if you can't answer it, but I have to try asking." Oh, looked like she was going to wait for the go ahead from the cat. How polite.
