Whoohooo! Look’s like everyone is... oh, wait, there goes one of them! Ah well, you did you best Niareh; please take yourself back up the hill so we can check you for broken bones. And Shika, silly girl, barely out of the gates!
But it’s getting tougher for the rest of you; the hill sure is getting steeper! Just hope you don’t hit a speed bump.

As the rush of the celebration continued, Reivu kept to his log as if it were life or death, and put his concentration entirely on the goal.
"YAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAHHHH"! he shouted gleefully; he was truly having a great time rolling down the hill - hopefully no consequences would come as a result of the trip...
But then again, he wasn't that opposed to woozy heads at the end of the day, so long as he had his share of excitement.

Zuzu was determined- He tried his best to hang on, but when his log rolled over a rock the wrong way he stood no chance. Literally. No standing. Tumbled head over tail and after skidding down a bit more he came to a dead stop. Maybe next year!

The log was rolling faster and faster now, but Sangokai, determined to stick to it, clenched his jaw and kept going strong... Until his log went over a small lump. The log rattled beneath him, almost throwing the Kunifish off balance, but with the aid of his tail, he righted himself quickly and kept on rolling. He was determined to win this race!

Fuji winced as the log took to the air for a second and came crashing down. His instinct was to glide, but he clamped his wings in tight! Only by doing that could he keep up with his log and hang on tight. his eyes darted to the kuniku next to him, one had fallen, but it seems others had hung on- if only for a while longer. His heart pounded in his ears, or maybe it was just the thunder of the logs.

So far, success, but Viveka was wary about celebrating just yet. Jostled around as she was, she could see how rough the terrain was getting, and grit her teeth together as the log began to thump and leap under her feet. She scrabbled desperately to stay on top of the wild ride, and though she nearly slipped, she just managed to save herself at the end. This, she thought grimly, did not bode well. Maybe the hills would even themselves out, but she wasn't one to believe in something like 'good luck'.

Shirin felt the hill got steeper and was worried for a second, it seemed she had never quite recovered from slipping that last go, and she slipped and tumbled off the log, hitting the ground with a thud.

"Eek!" Shinju cried as she could feel the log speeding up in rotation beneath her paws; it was just too much for her. "Ouch! Ouch! Ouch!" she whimpered as she fell off, rolling a bit in the direction of her log.

"Oh Gods, Oh Gods." Satou mumbled. The log started to roll in a zig zag pattern. She seemed to be doing alright, but Satou was distracted by the growing number of kuniku falling off their logs. While she was looking away her log decided to hit that large rock over there, sending Satou to the ground.

Delicately membraned ears flattened against the wind, Xerxes squinted to take in the damage ahead of him, as if he could actually direct his overgrown sled should someone fall into his line of sight. The noise level was incredible, paws flailing as others went down, and the dark male was trying in vain to use his tail like a rudder, feeling it flap and jerk to keep him afloat. It wasn't his natural medium, this air and this tree. But whatever his method, it appeared to be working, at least for now as the rest of the participants blurred alongside him.

Kokoro's log began to move smoothly down the hill. He opened his eyes after closing them in terror, and smiled lightly. This wasn't so bad. He glanced cautiously around at the other kuniku who were sailing down the hill and tried to smile at them. He was glad so many were still doing so well! He returned his attention to the hill ahead of him and screamed. There was a hole right in his path! He leaned with all of his weight to the right, hoping desperately to steer his log away from the hole, but his log slammed right into it, jamming the front end into the hole and tossing the unlucky kuniku off.

Ouchie, Zuzu is down and out; better luck next time. And Shirin is quick to follow; you may want to take some time to shake that one off! Right behind her, our tenacious little Shinju loses her footing! And even more casualties as Satou and Kokoro go flying!
That log is really moving now!

Fuji was sweatin' it big time, now! There were only a handful of kuniku left, himself included, and he had no time to thin of his fallen comrades, instead, he bit his bright blue tongue, and focused his pink feet on keeping in contact with the log. And for now, he managed to hang on.

The thumps and squeaks of fallen contenders threatened to break her concentration, but Viveka forced herself to focus. The log was rolling faster and faster now, and her paws were little more than a blur as she struggled to keep pace. Tricky! For all her pacing though, the gruff female suddenly found herself tumbling head over heels, and landed with a painful thud.

As the logs continued through their bumpy journey down the hill, small paws frantically striving to keep up the pace, Reivu's eyes wavered onto the others who were falling, and he tried to suppress his giggles at their loss. However, despite his prior precaution, it took Reivu one little slip of the paw to send him tumbling along with the others!
