WTF.. is SM kinda missing a few screws? If the show is set in the present then how 12 years ago was the Millennium Dome around and the London eye? They shouldn't have even started being built yet.

And green setting on the sonic screw driver? SM made it so in silence of the library he was amazed that he built a red setting into his blue setting sonic screw driver but he suddenly has a green setting?

What was up with his suit? I thought he changed it so I went back and looked up the regenerating and sure enough he changes his tie mid way through.... WTF

I thought the acting was cheesy and too action filled and he seems to be trying to be 10 too hard. I liked it lot but it could have been better.

BBC uploads everything that airs onto their website immediately after it airs for 7 days. But you have to be in the UK to access it (or able to trick the system into thinking you are in the UK). So, if you missed it you can watch it there.

At what point was it suggested anywhere the episode was set in the 'present' as it relates to us watching the episode? It's simpyl set in the early part of the twenty-first century. Could be six years from now for all that it matters :/

If there was one major problem with the episode, I think it was the decision to make the threat into that overblown CGI planetary destruction nonsense. Ironically, the moment you know the Earth's in peril you know it's all going to work out alright. If they'd kept the threat to just Prisoner 0 potentially escaping/harming Amelia it would have been for the better. As it stands that's why I think the episode petered out toward the end and turned into an RTD Christmas spectacular. Which is fine, and I *did* really enjoy the episode...but yeah, maybe tone down the melodrama, Moffat? Otherwise we'll get apocalypse fatigue if planets are ending every week :/

To be honest, these are kinda minor errors to complain about. And besides, after he flew over London, he closed the doors, so he could of very easily gone back in time after doing so, especially seeing as he zapped the switch on the console with his sonic screwdriver, and when he crashed in Amelia's garden, you hear it before it crashes on top of the shed .

It seems alot of people have started jumping on the fact that the London skyline is wrong for the time period as the TARDIS is crashing, but you have to remember that he closes the door after that scene and then something else happens with the TARDIS, he could potentially go back in time after he closes the doors - it's a malfunctioning time machine, I don't think it'll plummet back to earth in a different time period - especially not 12 years later? Kinda makes sense to be frank.

And the wild allegations that it's "*****" is a tad melodramatic don't you think - He's a 900 year old time lord, not a *****; I think there's likely to be more involved than just that - he's merely fascinated by the little girl at the beginning, nothing more.

SM has given us some of the most gripping and innovative story lines that the show has ever seen - so as much as we may want to criticize small potholes in his work, he still bought us fantastic episodes like 'Blink' - He has in no way '******** up' the programme at all - By the looks of the teasers I can see a hell of alot of fantastic stoylines coming this way, and I welcome them.

I wouldn't know about that GRIM everyone seems to be pointing out RTD plot holes and problems but they are less of the problems SM is having so I think it's funny because everyone was pulling apart RTD and then saying SM will change everything but he seems to have done the same and instead of doing what they did with RTD they are trying to justify it. It's funny.

Jettrick the dr landed in the little girls home and then he came back 10years later when she was dressed as a police officer and then he came back 2years after that and as dr who confidential points out, the last scene is in the present so little Amy Pond would have been 12years ago like the dr pointed in the end. I did some checking up and London was supposed to be the same time as little Amy Pond but they just couldn't put the time in to using their CGI budget to editing out the tourist focal points but SM said it is supposed to be London 12years ago.

I'm American, and I just saw it yesterday. Very nice.
Amy Pond's awesome. Can't wait to see more of her. I'm suprised on how she viewed the Doctor. It was different, but cool.
I just hope there's more past references.

I'll have to watch the Dr. Who Confidential, but in the episode he blatantly says 12 years while she is dressed as a police officer, and then she says 2 years after that, so I figured the span of time between little Amelia and present Amy was 14 years.

EDIT: I'm American, and I watch it when it comes out in the UK as well. No waiting 2 weeks for BBC America.

You cold be right i just remember him saying 12years so it might be 14 i would like to think that it was the tardis moving through time rather than think it was just the show not afording enough CGI but someone said they used too much anyways.

I just watched it and enjoyed it alot. I found it funny, exciting and a little sad ( when pond waiting all night for him broke my heart) I don't think he loves her just intrests him like most humans. I have high hopes so far. The only bit I didnt like were the snow flake eyes balls looked a bit crappy. And he didnt say "sorry" which i got soo sick of from the 10th doctor

Everyone seems to jumping on the bad points but this epd seems way better then "end of time" and the last Easter epd (Which I hated) Scifi just showed it and its worse them I remembered , but now "waters of mars" is on which makes me happy.

I agree with you completely.
I felt SO bad for Amy when I realized how long she had to wait.
In short, the Doctor OWED her big time.
The eye was a bit...weird.
I wished he could've said sorry.

I quite enjoyed the new episode. I am not shore of the new doctor yet but he is amusing, but I'll give it a few more episode before I finalize my opinion of him. Also what is this need to have a love plot with the doctor and his companions. Oh but the snowflake eyes I loved them they look like something I'd create when trying to draw snow flakes. Also just one apology would not have gone wrong.
