"Hmph." Seth grunted again and looked back down at his own computer monitor as Hayes seemed to try and beat a retreat in a subtle way.
"You're obviously not most people, then."
Hayes was certainly an odd one and kind of stuck out from the other Rockets in his own way.
"Just put them back when you're done."

Hayes nodded, locked his session and pushed himself out of his chair. He readjusted his glasses, looked to Seth, and shrugged, perhaps agreeing that the elite's statement might be true, but what could you do? Immediate danger averted, his mellow smile had returned.
"I try to get along, sir."
Switch jumped down off the table and started to follow Hayes as he strolled toward Seth's office, but the Rocket stopped and pointed at the empty ramen cup. "Hey." The Pikachu flattened his ears but leaped back from floor to chair to table, grabbed the cup in his teeth, and bounded over to the wastebasket. Once he'd deposited it inside he waited by the door, washing his paws in a display of nonchalance. I don't have to do what you say, his manner spoke. I just happen to find it convenient to go along with you right now.
Hayes grinned faintly and disappeared into Seth's office.

He didn't respond to Hayes as the other tech disappeared into his office. Seth glanced up once, but he figured the agent wasn't likely to mess with anything of his. And if he did, Seth would know about it and kick his a** later anyway.
The elite sighed and paused to rub at his eyes and forehead tiredly. Stuff was starting to get blurry on the computer screen, and as much as he hated to admit it... he probably couldn't keep this up much longer without a break. He'd already fallen asleep once. Maybe just stepping away for a bit would help.
When Hayes finally came back into the room, Seth spoke up. "You're getting a Jirachi by the way." He'd meant to mention that to the agent earlier, but forgot until now. He snorted irritably. "You and TRP both. As if getting promoted wasn't enough. I guess its their way of giving you a commendation for taking a bullet." It was rather ridiculous in his mind, but whatever. He didn't question TRP deserving one, just Hayes. "Report to the cloning division first thing in the morning."

Hayes wasn't gone very long - enough to spot 1337's gloves on the edge of Seth's desk and take them. When he returned, they were draped over his good arm. Seth's notice, for lack of a better word, gave the agent pause as he pulled the door closed. Huh, his expression seemed to say. A legendary Pokemon, or at least a cloned one.
Well all right.
The blond accepted this news as he did most mandates from on high - with a blink, followed by a "Yes, sir." His was not to question why, although in this case what idiot would?
He'd be back once he'd stored the gloves in his quarters and left Switch to sleep off his ramen, but for now he nodded respectfully to Seth and slipped out, the Pikachu at his heels wrinkling its nose at the smell of hot sauce coming from the gloves.

And that was that. Seth didn't say another word as the agent left. He preferred he left anyway. He didn't bother to hide his annoyance in the fact that other people were getting rewarded for the botched raid while he got yelled at, slapped, and was sleep deprived trying to figure out where it all went wrong. But he would get over it.
He had mentioned TRP, and briefly his thoughts went back to her. He hadn't bothered to check on her since returning from the raid, and it was obvious he needed a break. Thus, getting up from his chair, Seth left the room to go check up on his former partner.
