Gavin was having great luck. His basket was steadily getting full and with it his joy grew. He hadn't opened any yet as he was saving that for later. He still had Keiran by the hand and was bending down to grab another.
Keiran on the other hand wasn't having that much luck. Anytime he seemed to find an egg, Gavin picked it up first. He only had one or two eggs in his basket and he simply wasn't having any fun. Finally he thought he saw one before Gavin did but before he could finish grabbing it Gavin was grabbing it too. "Gavin! No, that one mine!" His voice was shifting into a whine. He was just so frustrated.
After blinking a moment in surprise a fantastic frown formed on Gavin's face. He had saw that egg first, he knew it, and it was rightfully his. Even if Keiran saw it first...he was the big brother and that meant Kei had to give it to him. "Nuh-uh Kei! Mine." He pulled the egg out of Keiran's grasp and stuck it in his basket defiantly.
Keiran's eyes widened in disbelief. Gavin had never been so mean to him. "Gavin....no fair! You have all eggs!" Didn't Kei always share things with Gavin when he wanted them? Kei was sure he did, and yet Gavin wasn't even willing to give up a single egg when he had a whole basket.
"Is fair, I'm older." Was Gavin's reply. If Kei was going to start taking eggs from him, he could look all by himself. Gavin turned on his little heel and headed in the opposite direction. He was a good big brother to Kei. He took him on adventures and showed him the neat things he'd find. Gavin was furious and hurt that Kei would try to take anything from him.
Keiran felt shocked and his eyes were almost comically wide. Gavin was leaving him behind for the first time, over a stupid plastic egg. His big red eyes started to fill with tears. "F-fine, you a big stupid head! Didn't want to look with y-you anyway!" he shouted after Gavin. One or two tears slipped out before Kei wiped at them and then went off in search of more eggs or someone else to be with so he wasn't alone.

Freya hurried off to the direction that Hayden had pointed in. She stopped hopping when she saw a boy crying on the ground. He had glitter and eggshells coming from his mouth! That wasn't good! She waved her arm in a circular motion to Hayden and whispered to him, "You think he's hurt?" She worried that something might be wrong with him. These eggs weren't the eating kind, but maybe he didn't know.

Blaise had watched the kids carefully, making sure no one got hurt or anything. She watched the two boys that had approached her early begin fighting as siblings normally do and smiled. She had considered having kids, but it was not something she didn't think she'd ever really be ready for. Besides, she'd rather have someone with her to help her raise a kid rather than doing it alone. She glanced over just with enough time to watch a small blonde boy take a big bite into one of the eggs and get a mouth full of glitter and confetti. She giggled a little and stood, walking over to him. She picked up the basket he had thrown to the ground and place the spilled eggs back into the basket, offering it to him. "The eggs aren't for eating, silly. They have prizes and candy in them.." she cracked one open, taking out a small piece of candy and offered it to him in her other hand. "See?" she smiled softly at him, crouching down to meet eye level with him. "If you're hungry, there's some food at the table over there." she informed as she then took a small tissue from her pocket and began to help clean him up, trying her best to remove the glitter from his mouth and clothes.

Hayden turned his attention to Cecil just in time to see the glittery mess happen. "Ew..." He looked down at his egg with a suspicious look. Would his do that? He looked up again, noticing that Blaise was on her way over. "Naw, she's got 'im." He shook his head, that was the lady that had fixed his leg so he was sure that even if the kid was hurt she'd take care of it.
He easily turned his attention to the two eggs that had managed to be hidden together. He picked up one of them and placed it in his basket. "You get the uther one 'kay?"

Cecil sniffled and rubbed at his eyes with glitter covered fists. "But, eggs are supposed to be eated. Why did this one hit back?" Cecil looked at the eggs in the basket. "Those full of mean bits too?" he asked as he tried opening one of the eggs. It popped open revealing a piece of chocolate much like the one in the lady's hand. "I eat these?" He then went to pop the candy, still wrapped, into his mouth; bit down and then spat it back out. "BLEH!!! that tasted weird!" Cecil now had a mixture of glitter, paper bits and foil stuck to him. "All these eggs are meanies!"
(Poor Cecil hasn't had candy so far, he's only had peeps so foil covered candy is a new thing to him)

Blaise couldn't help but laugh as she wiped most of the glitter off. "You have to unwrap it first." she instructed once more, taking out a piece of candy of her pocket, a foil wrapped chocolate, unwrapped it and placed it in his hand. "Like this. See, now you can eat it." she offered, trying not to laugh too much, or it might have upset him. She just smiled, the little boy really was so innocent it seemed as she then took out another chocolate, unwrapped it and placed it in her own mouth. "It's good, you should try it." she persuaded, hoping he'd eventually figure it out, and even if he didn't, she'd help him out until he got the hang of it himself.

Cecil gave the chocolate in his hand a suspicious look and looked over at Blaise. she didn't end up with glitter or icky stuff everywhere, I guess it's safe to be eated. Cecil thought as he cautiously placed it in his mouth. Too many things today tried to hurt him so he was wary of this new food. He chewed and discovered that much to his surprise that the candy was actually very pleasant. Cecil gave Blaise a large toothy and glittery smile.

Aderyn had been sent a flier from the Academy about a week ago that told her about the event and when she told her son about it, he cheered and ran about happily, chittering and chattering like he had been given a cup of coffee and didn't calm down even during the week leading up to today. Laughing as she carried, yes CARRIED, Giovanni to the field where the event, she was trying her best to keep the child calm enough where he wouldn't get sick from all the excitement that was surging in his tiny body. Once at the edge of the field, Aderyn looked at the pick-nick table and then glanced to the field, though she wanted to make sure that this was the right place so she sat down at the table. Giovanni was still in her arms, struggling to be let go so he could run about and find things and maybe even take some...

Blaise smiled back and patted him on the head softly. "Okay then, you run along now. And if those mean eggs give you any more trouble, you just let me know! I'll be right over there." she spoke in her best motherly tone and then stood, letting the boy return to his egg hunt, having shown him how it works. She then made her way back to the picnic tables to sit down and noticed someone sitting there. A woman with a little boy in her arms that seemed more than eager to be released and run about. "Hello there, are you here for the egg hunt? There are baskets right over here and there are eggs scattered all over the field. I'll be the one watching the toddlers if you're worried about supervision." she explained, as she picked up a basket off of the nearby table and held it out for the little boy to grab. "Want to look for eggs with the other children?" she asked the boy, smiling softyl at him.

Freya picked up the other egg that was hidden by Hayden's and smiled. That was working out great, she loved this new egg hunting game. She'd, of course, color the entire thing different if it were up to her. It didn't matter too much, though. Some had to be given to Hayden and the other children. She shrugged off the thought and hopped around to find the next egg. "C'mon, Hayden, like this!" she called back, hopping as she went along.

"Ah, yeah. I was waiting because I wanted to make sure that this was the right place.." Aderyn replied with a soft chuckle before finally letting her son go after he grabbed the basket, though when she heard about the supervision she grinned, "So I'll be able to head to the Gym to meet the other parents?
Almost as soon as he was set down, the hyperactive boy darted off into the field, running as fast and as hard as he could. Even though the game was designed for toddlers and kids, Giovanni wanted to look in not-so-obvious spots first.

"Thanks you lady!" Cecil grinned, grabbed his basket and ran off to search for more eggs. He wasn't going to try and eat anymore but maybe his Dad would like them. He wandered around and saw a boy running full force into the field. Thinking that it would be a fun to run with him so Cecil started running as fast as he could in Giovanni's direction, unfortunately; Cecil wasn't paying attention to how far Giovanni actually was and how fast he was going, as a result Cecil ran right into him and they ended up a mass of tangled limbs and upturned Easter baskets.

Cedric looked around at all the little kids that were having fun. Mama had dropped him off, saying she was going to meet with some of the other parents, and seeing as there was someone to watch the small ones, she felt that it was safe to leave him there.
He walked up to the table and grabbed his own basket, seeing as it looked like everyone was using one. Now to look for eggs.
He picked one up and made a disappointed face. He was hoping that they'd be like Mama's eggs, hardboiled and tasty, but these weren't even real eggs...

Hayden stared after her for a moment, wondering what she was doing before it clicked in his head. Easter bunny! A grin spread over his face as he mimicked her hopping movements. "Like a bunny?" He laughed, giving up his egg watch in favor of hopping around for a little bit.

Theo had promised an egg hunt to Anox, and he was determined to have the boy actually hunt some eggs. Even though Anox clung to him in fright as they approached the field. "Don't worry Anox, i am sure they won't hurt you... Look, there's Gio even." Theo coos softly, trying to calm the small boy.
Anox clung to theo, he didn't like the idea of so many people... They could hug him, and that hurt, and he didn't like it at all. "Dunno Papa... Can i wait here, and you get eggs for me?"
Theo laughs and shakes his head, "No, i can't do that... Why don't you go get a basket from that nice lady over there, and find some eggs? I am sure you will have fun... If you ever want to leave, i'll be right over here, reading under this tree, okay?"
Anox whimpers, clinging tighter to the green haired ban, "B-But Papa...!" he whines softly as he is set reluctantly down.
"Anox..." Theo says firmly, putting the boy on the ground, "No whining now, you will have fun, i promise. And if you tell people you don't like hugs right away, they won't hug you."
Anox scrubs at his eyes where tears had started to form, "So... I jus' tell them... 'My name Anox, i dun like hugs'?" he asks cutely, looking up at Theo.
Theo chuckles and nods, "Sure, but try and be nice about it, say: 'My name is Anox, and hugs hurt me, so please don't hug.' Okay?" he smoothes the boy's hair and smiles.
"Mkay Papa... So... I go now?" he squeaks, looking back at the children in their little groups or pairs. He didn't know if he would fit in... He wasn't like them.
Theo nods, "Yes, go ahead... I'll be right over here, okay?" he says softly, heading over to a big shade tree and pulling out his book.
Anox nods and heads over to the lady with the baskets, chewing his lip as he stands a few feet away and stares at the ground. "Ineedabasketpwease..." he mumbles, blushing softly.
