Lyndon took a big sigh of relief. Qiuyue was calming him down, but this whole ordeal was nerve wracking. He had never visited another friend's family- Wait, what friends? Yue was the closest thing he had to a friend, but he wished to be so much more. First he had to overcome his nervousness and talk to Jakie properly, like he wasn't afraid. He sipped his tea mulling over what he would say next.
He leaned over to whisper in Yue's ear, "I just want you to know that you can keep my jacket. It suits you." He smiled, and drank his tea. "May I have some more? It was very good." He turned to Jackie, "After this, I just have to let you all meet my.... Brother." He wasn't sure what to call Andrew. He really didn't consider him a caretaker after he got in his teens, but he felt like family nonetheless.

Quiyue smiled and blushed as Lyndon whispered into her ear. She nodded knowingly and picked up the tea kettle, which was still warm from the fire. After pouring some tea into Lyndon's cup and setting the kettle back down, she waited for Lyndon to finish speaking. When he did, she cleared her throat a bit and looked squarely at Jackie. "So... Wha' h'pp'ned tha' n'ght..." She began slowly so as to not tire herself out. This might take a while to explain.
"So... It w's l'te aut'mn-ish. I w's w'lk'ng al'ne 'nd was r'sting wh'n I saw s'meth'ng 'n the b'shes. I thr'w a r'ck and it w's Lynd'n. We t'lked a b't, it st'rted sn'wing, so we found a c've to st'y in. At th' b'ck w's a h't spr'ng an' we sw'm a b't b'fore g'tting out. Th'n Lynd'n g've me h's j'cket an' walk'd me h'me. Th' end." Quiyue was breathing heavily at this point from talking so much. She was winded, and she had left much of the story out, but she dared not say any more. She didn't know what Jackie would do if he knew what happened down in that cave...
Jackie was itching to know what Lyndon whispered to Yue, and he was dying to know the rest of Yue's story. He could tell that she left details out, details that she obviously did not want Jackie to know, and that made Jackie nervous. Did... something happen down there? Well, obviously something did happen. Jackie just didn't know what. Whatever happened, it was plain to see that Yue cared for this cervitaur a lot. The cervitaur seemed happy with Yue... He seemed caring and strong, willing to support her. Jackie's eyes softened and he chuckled. "Well, Yue... It's clear to see that you two love each other very much. I only want what's best for you, and this Lyndon fellow seems to be a dependable guy. I am happy for you both."

Lyndon sure did like Quiyue's version a lot better than he could ever explain it. He wanted to just pat her on the back and say, nice job honey! He began to blush at the thought but waved them away and taking a sip from his newly poured cup of tea. Refreshing and calming, like Yue.
As he was sipping his tea, he listened to Yue's story. At Jakie's reaction, he almost choked. What did he say? He listened intently to Jackie's words. Do this mean he approves of me? Lyndon sat down his cup and stood up to walk over to Jackie. He held out his hand to him and gave him a pleasant smile, " Your sister is in good hands sir. I-I'm very happy that you think highly of me and I'll take care of Quiyue as long as she will let me." He tilted his head to her and blush, turning back to Jackie.

Qiuyue was as equally shocked as Lyndon was and she sat up straight, mouth agape. "Wh-... Wh't?" Her eyes stared into the distance and she felt slightly dizzy as Lyndon stood up and walked over to Jackie. Jackie... Her adopted brother, her father, practically... He accepted Lyndon that easily? She could tell that he knew that she had some major holes in her recount of the adventure that she and Lyndon had, but her mind was spinning so much that she did not care. She felt elated and relieved. Tears began to spring to her eyes as she smiled gratefully at Jackie. "J'ckie... B-br'th'r... Th'nk yoo so much f'r your bless'n'!"
Jackie, too, was relieved. Lyndon was dependable and seemed to accept Yue for what she was, speech impediment and all. Yue seemed happy and comfortable around Lyndon, whom Jackie guessed was a friend of hers from long ago. Jackie smiled politely as he took Lyndon's outstretched hand and shook it, looking to Yue. "And Yue... I realize that you are at that age that you can make decisions for yourself. I'm just a worrywart: I worry because I care about you and your safety. But..." Jackie looked at Lyndon pointedly. "... I believe that this young cervitaur has what it takes to keep you safe and make you happy. You're free to leave this house and start your own life..." Jackie chuckled slyly and folded his arms. "...As long as you spend it with this cervitaur."

Oh Lyndon was thoroughly overjoyed. To think that Yue's brother, as uptight and scary as he seemed, accepted them as a couple. He wanted to jump for joy and scream to the heavens of this momentous occasion. Now all there way to do was take Quiyue to see Andrew, but he was a berry loving push over. Of course he'd accept! Lyndon was already in the process of moving when he happened upon Yue. This was fate and everything around him turned a rosy color- Or at lease his cheeks did.
"I'm so happy!" He seemed to grin from ear to ear. "Yue is in good hands, sir, and we will be sure to visit and invite you over!" Well, he might have been getting a little ahead of himself, they still needed a place to live. He was swept up in all the excitement, he even hugged Jackie.
