[She saw a starry figure approach. It's bright white pelt shocking her eyes.]
"W-who are you?" she whispered in awe.
[The other cat's whiskers twitched and eyes gleamed with laughter.]
"W-what are you laughing at?" She mewed, trying to act tough despite the churning emotions she felt inside.]

"I'm really regretting using a kit's appearance to forge my spirit." the feminine cat mewed.
"M-mother?!" Lavenderrain gasped out in shock.
"Yes, it is I, Squirrelleap. Don't act so shocked. Now answer me this, is this the kit you've been searching for?" she mewed fixing her daughter with a hard stare.

 "This kit needs not know the destiny of any of my family." Squirrelleap said crisply.
"I also think that you needed some help to realize who the shining kit was." she meowed gently.
"You pass by so fast, that you really don't see what's in front of you." she said soothingly.
"Think hard now. Because what -- or who you're searching for may be right in front of your own nose."

[Lavenderrain nodded, grateful for her mother's advice.
She now realized that the kit was also too big to be that of the shining kit's.]
[Her mother's spirit was leaving now, to return the kit's body.
And it whispered a few final words..]
"Things may not be as they seem..." she whispered.
[Seeing that her mother had gotten the kit to a safe distance, Lavenderrain headed for home.]
