Yupyup, I know exactly what you mean.
Most people don't exactly FEEL like they're smart, but, if you're a valedictorian (under most circumstances), you've got to be pretty smart (or at least extremely disciplined) to be as such.
Then NYU sounds pretty good!
It sounded before like you really wanted to go there.
Why are you having troubles getting there?
Is it because of money or transportation or anything?
Cos you can get a ton of scholarships, grants, or loans.
Also, maybe I'm crazy, but I think every school should have an honors scholarship to help the kids that work to make the grades actually finish and not quit because they're out of money.

it's cuz my parents make a good amount of money BUT my big brother and sister are in college, and there are two little'uns below me so we're already spread thin as it is. i just feel like an inconvenience.
i haven't been winning any scholarships, and i've been applying like crazy for 2 years. i'm also frantically looking for a job.
no, U of H has an honors college, but i dont wanna go there.
i think i'm just gonna be a naughty thing and go to NYU. >.>;;

hmmm....one randome thing I hate the most is when my feet get cold inside my shoes. Its like I am wearing shoes and socks, WHY ARE MY FEET COLD?! D:

I applied for a bunch of scholarships, but I didn't get any either.
I just got the ones for having good grades that are given by my state and my college.
Other than that, I got loans.
Can't you fill out a FAFSA?
It sounds like you could get lots of stuff from that.

and it was effing horrible.
it was like
$6,ooo scholarship
and $45,ooo loan

That's pretty intense and unfortunate!
Can your parents actually tell you not to go to college?
Like, it wouldn't be impossible.
You could get a ride there and pay for stuff with loans.
It would just be improbable.
How expencive is that school!? Oo

They are close to making me go to U of H or UNLV.
Princess Volupine lied. She actually got an $8,55o scholarship.
total tuition is $56,o66
so minus 8.55k is the total amount of my loan. for one year. times four is the pirice tag for my 2 bachelors.
OTL
And there's a catch: I have to take a minimum of 16 hours Per semester for all the scholarship money. At the ******** honors college.

Why do you have to take sixteen? That's pretty bogus.
Here, you can only take 12-17.

I don't know, that's what the contract says.
I think I can do it. I was gonna take 15 hours anyway.
That's nice how your school actually cares enough about its students that they make sure no one takes on more than they can handle.

1. It usually helps me realize that my problems aren't so bad.
