"Aaah...my son, he's got surprisingly pointy fangs for a baby, and a literally sharp tongue...hopefully he grows out of his biting phase." She probably had more to say on the subject, but Luis and Xai were focusing on her relationship to Kale. Not that she minded talking about him, it was just...very hard to explain! But wait, a ring?! Swallowing hard, Switch tried very hard not to squirm in discomfort. "W-Well no...he's not...technically my boyfriend...I mean, we've never talked about a relationship but...it still kinda happened?" She was far from disappointed, though! It was something that never needed to be talked about; she knew what their status was, but it was very hard to let anyone else know, too.
But the food had been ordered, and it was time for a subject change! Or...at least...get the subject away from HER.
"Oh yes, absolutely! Look around, we can still talk; I've gotten a bunch of new things, and there's a lot of old things that aren't here anymore." The shop's inventory seemed constantly changing; but at least now, when items were brought in to her, she could document them on her own! Made her life easier. "But really, Xai? About ninety percent of the people I meet are male, how odd! And Luis, you're married? I didn't know that!"

"Oh dear, that's gotta be fun for you and your ... mate to deal with." Luis said thoughtfully and nodded simply when Switch explained the situation that she was in and simply accepted it. Not all couples follow social norms.
She didn't seem to mind or note the conversation change. Luis began to stand up and stretch her arms above her head. Yes a look around would be good fun she hadn't gazed around in a while plus it'd help her when questions came about if Switch wanted the items put in a special place or arranged a certain way but as she started to drift off she paused and a brief expression of sadness crossed her face before she nodded, "Aye, I was. M'husband passed though." The Satyress said simply, "'E fell offa th' roof doin' some repairs, he died cleanly..."

Literally...sharp tongue? As in the tongue itself was sharp like a knife?! Whoa! Okay, now Evari wasn't so bad anymore. She would be worse with claws, fangs and a knife-like tongue! Xai shuddered at the thought. It didn't make much sense to her the relationship Switch was explaining but...as long as she was happy, right? And she seemed very happy! Xai smiled, allowing the other woman to change the subject. It'd be like...what was the phrase? Beating a dead horse with a stick?
...That was an awful thing to do why would anyone do that?! Gaians were so weird!
"New things? Oh, wonderful~!" Xai clapped her hands together with a delighted little noise, looking around their immediate area to see if there was anything that caught her eye. The first time she came here those gloves practically called to her! Well...there'd been a reason for that but at the time she didn't know! Her attention was quickly turned back to Switch when asked if what she said was true and that it was...odd that she didn't know any men? She blinked. Was it that odd? Huh...well...okay. She'd just have to meet more males then? But how would she do that when Evari needed a very close eye on her? That little psycho...
She turned to Luis when she confirmed she was married and brightened at the prospect of possibly meeting the redhead's husband...until she said he passed away and died falling off a roof. Oh...oh dear. So that was why she didn't know about any husband. That was so sad! So tragic! No wonder she didn't share before. Xai frowned. "I'm very sorry, Luis." She said sincerely, honestly sorry for her friend's loss. No matter how long ago it was she still saw the sadness on Luis' face. Um...happy subject change, happy subject change.
Xai looked around to try and find something to give them something else to talk about. That was when she spotted it: A statue with a deer's body...but no head.
Wait. What?
"...Oh no, Switch. Someone broke that statue." Xai frowned.

Switch listened to Luis...and felt her heart sink. That look of sadness was heart breaking enough, but to hear of his passing? Luis seemed very strong to have gone through that and still be able to talk about it. If she had lost Kale...she didn't think she'd ever be able to say it so calmly.
"I'm very sorry to hear that, Luis." She said sympathetically, meaning everything she said. "I'm glad, though, to hear that he didn't suffer." A gentle touch was placed to the other woman's arm. Her heart went out to Luis, it really did, but the last thing she wanted was to have a gloom over their little get together; this was supposed to be a fun bonding time, right? So she picked up on Xai's subject change...in more than one way. That headless deer statue really wanted Xai as it's Guardian, and she could feel it.
"Oh, that's horrible! I guess I should get rid of it then...I noticed people generally won't want broken items." The blue haired woman lamented sadly, hoping Xai would offer to just take it...from what she knew of the alien woman, she was more or less betting on it.

She reached and lightly petted at Switch's hand and smiled lightly at Xai. She really was touched that they were so kind and sympathetic about her loss, but really it wasn't something she wanted to linger on and simply nodded while she murmured a soft, "Thank ye," and let it go at that. Luis was used to this sort of thing by now but that didn't mean it was easy to deal with. It is what she got for bringing him up in the first place but sometimes she couldn't help it when relevant topics came up and sometimes, just sometimes it felt good to talk about him as if he was still alive.
Was it unhealthy? Probably a little but she didn't care.
Luis looked toward Xai and then to where Xai was gazing to get a look at what she had found glad to get a change to the subject and blinked a bit, "Ah, das a right shame. Maybe ye could take it and fix it up f'yer own? T's not like all the items come t'life right?"
Ahh foolish optimism. Besides broken objects can't come to life, right? Maybe...
The Satyress began to roam around on her own now and then dug through the items before her and found a crossbar to a marionette with it's string tied and tangled around a rather wicked looking knife. She held it up with a perplexed look and bowed over the box to look for the marionette that might have been attached but found nothing, "Hmmm?"

"Get rid of it?" Xai stood up and wandered over to the statue completely unaware of the fact that it apparently was just like Evari's glove and had chosen her as its new guardian. If she did? She'd be avoiding it like the plague right now. She placed a hand on it and inspected it top to bottom to see if it was broken any other way. So it was just missing its neck and head. Ow. Poor thing! She frowned at the statue and pet its back like it was a real creature, tilting her head back at Luis. Fix it up? Hm...that...sounded like a great idea!
"Evari already came from here...there's no way I could have two!" She laughed. "I'm not sure what I would do if it happened again. Evari is enough trouble as it is...and that Nutter..." Xai couldn't help but shudder at the reminder that she had to go home to that thing that was eating her out of house, home and sanity. She picked up the statue and carried it back to the desk where Switch and Lu--er, Switch was. Luis seemed to have wandered off.
Xai tilted her head this way and that, also moving the statue around to see it at all angles. "I'll fix it~!" She declared happily, grinning proudly. "And then I'll bring it back so you can try selling it!" Xai then told Switch, getting distracted from the task at hand by Luis' little noise, looking around until she spotted her. "What did you find?"

Switch bit the inside of her cheek when Xai went on to talk about having two, feeling so guilty over the whole thing. She wished she could have said something, but alas...it was not within her power. Instead she just nodded towards the Alien as though selling it would be a wonderful idea.
She knew for sure that Luis had found a similar 'living' item, and just as she was about to say something, there was a call at the shop's front door. Something about a delivery? Wow, that was fast! Thankful for the distraction, Switch got to her feet and wandered towards the front door, taking a little detour to her desk to grab her wallet.
Hopefully, the food delivery would keep her mildly distracted, or that the compulsive need to have that item would just have them both pocketing it without a word. Please, please, please let that be the case!

Luis laughed a bit at Xai's predicament sympathizing a bit. She had her own child and Nutbar to consider. Plus the patrons of her tavern who sometimes acted more like children than even her daughter did. She kept her items in hand and moved to sit down just quietly claiming ownership of it without even saying as much. She actually kind of liked them despite the fact that the knife was all tangled up with the strings of the crossbar. No matter how she tried she couldn't separate them.
Since when did she start collecting junk? Ah well.
Food came she stood up, "Need any help darlin'? Also I'll pay ye back for m'part o' the order..."
For now her item was set off under her seat so she could remember, hopefully, to reclaim it before she left.

It was a shame Xai couldn't sense Switch's guilt, a darn shame. Though she probably wouldn't be able to find it in herself to be angry at one of her few friends here, Switch was merely doing her job. Xai would just do her best to fix the statue and get it back to the shop quickly! She was determined to bring it home for some reason...huh! If only she knew~. Ha! Xai blinked and looked up when Switch went to the door to tend to the delivery man, looking quite excited now. Their food was here! And she could try this 'Chinese' food!
"I can help too! Since we ordered so much." Xai chirped, standing as well and wandering around the desk to walk up to Switch. Oh, right. She had to pay for this order! ...Hm...Xai hadn't brought money with her. Damn! It seemed every time she came here she forgot to bring money! At least the first time she was able to trade Switch her ice cream for Evari's gloves. Perhaps Switch trusted her to let her pay her back later? She could easily get money to pay with! She just needed to make a stop at home before coming back to pay Switch.
She looked over the stuff that was being given to Switch, helping her carry whatever needed to be carried along with Luis. Once everything was set out she was given a chance to give a more thorough lookover, blinking and staring at a peculiar...er...why was this here? There were plastic forks here, but what were these? "Sticks?" Xai blinked and held up a clear package with a pair of chopsticks in it, looking at her two friends. "What're these for?"
