((2 day auto))
The neck crank was applied, torqueing the neck as far as he possibly could.

((I'll be honest: Forgot about this one for a second. Sorry.))
Brody marveled at the world, looking at it from an unnatural tilted position. As Landry added pressure, Brody sent a wild strike upwards, hoping to catch his opponent with something.

((We've all been there. The important thing is you came back, lol))
Landry was grazed by the desperation maneuver and did back up temporarily, but bounced against the ropes and came back with a rolling neckbreaker attempt.

Thankful to be out of Landry's grip, Brody tried to take the next few moments to rest. Unfortunately, it wasn't to be, and he was smashed back to the mat. He lied on his back staring at the lights, temporarily stunned.

Brody should have known better that there was no rest for the weary, especially when Landry was the one making you weary.
Landry went for the first cover of the night on Brody, hooking a leg.

Phoenixfire had no time and no use to cue up her theme music and that was owed to her being late to the match Landry had invited her to. If she were going to stay under his tutelage, she'd have to make a point to be on time. Phoenix quickly strode down the ramp and made her way to a seat by the announcer's booth to watch and learn from Landry and to wait on Shanahan, who'd also threatened to lurk at ringside. She didn't understand why he was so upset with Landry after the promo they'd cut earlier but she trusted she'd learn more in due time. In the meantime, Phoenixfire just had to watch what was going on in the ring because this was only lesson one in the plan Landry had for her.

The God of Punks sat out in the fans, staying out of sight from both the annoucer's table and the ring. He had been watching the match, and waiting for the right time to strike. After seeing Landry go for the cover, Matt got slightly anxious. He stood up and picked his baseball bat up off the ground, still staring at the ring.
"It's either now or never, Shanahan..."
And those wise words from himself, he ran down the aisleway and hurtled over the barricade, barely landing on his feet. He carried his 326 pounds of momentum to ringside until he was able to slide in. Once he was in, he would attempt to get to his feet and bring his baseball bat down on Landry's ribs, bringing it smashing down like Thor's hammer!
((Yeah... I included a Thor reference. I'm that good.))

((Was going to call for a dq but then I remembered this was a first blood match, so i'm the stupid one for going for a cover, lol))
Landry was struck by the bat while the referee was instructing him that pinfalls were worthless in this type of match up. He held his sides and curled into a ball on the side of the ring from Shanahan's baseball bat attack, cringing in pain.

((I didn't even know what kind of match this was. xd ))
The Punk stood up, twirling his baseball bat skillfully as he watched Landry.
"What's wrong, Landry? Didn't think I'd show up?!"
Matt then would attempt to bring his baseball bat crashing down onto Landry's head!

Brody rolled himself out of the way and made his way to the opposite side of the ring from the action. He recognized he didn't want to get into this one, and that Landry probably deserved what he was getting anyway.

Landry was trying to get up, only to get smashed back down by the baseball bat to the head, nearly knocking him out.

Matt would attempt to grab Landry by his hair and roughly pick him up to his feet. If he managed to, he would try to prop him up against the turnbuckle, and hit him in the face with his baseball bat!

With impending doom comming on an epic scale, Landry was able to duck the baseball bat shot and get out of the corner, then attempt a desperation superkick on Shanahan when he turned to correct himself.

Shanahan was hit with the superkick, caught off guard by the relentless Landry! He hit the mat hard and quickly rolled out, not wanting his plan to backfire anymore than it already had.

Landry stared at Shanahan from the ring and shouted down at him.
"Yeah that's right! Run! Run! Don't ever let me catch you or so help me I will stuff that bat straight down your throat!"
Landry ripped the top turnbuckle pad off its supports in his rage at Shanahan's interference.
