Tawa'di nodded a bit. Not really about mothers, since he could barely remember his own. Mostly just a face, and warmth. But he could understand how cubs felt about their mothers holding them back; Mana had done that when his own kids were as young as Udadal. He didn't know if some of the appreciated it, even now...like Sahale. As competitive as ever.

"It's not that fun doing everything you want," he chuckled. "I'd feel bad if I wandered off and didn't say anything. Don't make your Mother worry too much," he winked. Though the hero couldn't get himself into too much trouble, not if he kept wrestling with little tree trunks and mud piles.

"I'm sure you'll be able to explore the border when you're older. It's not too exciting, but sometimes fun to talk to rogues who wander past. And protect all the females from the dangers outside, right?"

Udadalsvli listened to his winged-friend, mulling over his words. "I guess I'd feel bad if I made Mom worry," he slowly admitted, heaving a sigh. As a hero, he wasn't supposed to make others upset or concerned. . .but . . .then again, if he was going to be a real hero, his mother might always worry a little bit. "I won't be a cub forever, but I guess I should at least let her know I'm all right. Especially if I ever do go to the borders."

While it might not be anything super-special, to a cub like Udadalsvli the possibilities were endless! If someone said he couldn't do something, of course that meant he'd want to try it! He was young and impulsive and unfortunately there was something romantic to be said abut borders. A world to the unknown, to the rogue lands. . .to meet strangers. "It may not always be exciting, but I'd love to be there to meet strangers. And of course I'd protect all the ladies from the bad guys! I'd make sure they stayed safe," he added, puffing out his chest with pride even while his blue eyes took on a dreamy sort of haze.

Just think of everything he'd be able to do as soon as he just got older! He was getting there, slowly but surely aging, but growth wasn't hapening quite as fast as he hoped. His man was thickening and he was taller, but he was a small fry compared to some of the adults lumbering around. "Well . . .if you ever decide to go to the borders, seeing as you were once an adult and all, just let me know. I'll come with, just to be safe. You never know what sort of suspicious characters might creep out of the wood work when they see you have wings!" Because, as far as Udadalsvli could figure, wings made you a little bit cooler than every one else. And if you were a cool superhero, that meant that he might have even stronger enemies!

Twigs, mudpits, and rocks might transform in to volcanoes and hyenas and evil lions with the darkest of her hearts and blackest of souls. And those sorts were not welcome here, not with Udadalsvli there to stop them.

Looking over at his friend, he blinked for a moment before, quite out of the blue, blabbered, "Does your bird talk? Because. . . because I have a friend in the earth clan and she . . .she wants to talk to a bird and she can't because they're always running away from her. But you have a bird, and I suppose i should tell her if they talk or not, or are even interested in talking to lions." Iyunge wanted to know . . . and Tawa'di had a bird. Udadalsvli definitely had to make sure the two of them met someday!

Tawa'di was happy that the juvenile seemed to accept some of his suggesstions. He wouldn't want to be held accountable for putting ideas into Udadal's head....like going to the borders. On his own. Tawa'di had always been a very relaxed lion, but he never forgot the Dark Fire pride. Where they had lost their original lands.

At least he wouldn't have to worry about this hero running off into the sunset.

The next question was even better. "Sure," he said with a nod. Probably not until he was a bit bigger, himself, and he was still getting a grip on the idea of powers. Not being able to See the future made him uneasy, but the replacement of powers to protect had helped him adjust. Tawa'di did not feel completely helpless in keeping his homelands safe. "We'll go together, and I'll let you know before hand."

Annnd that last question surprised him. He chuckled, and Mochni popped up. "I do talk," he said, looking a little ruffled at the idea that he couldn't talk! "Just not much." It was easier to be a listener and remember things when one wasn't talking.

((Goodness I fail. I've had a terrible time catching up on any and all RP this summer. Sorry Saf. D: I'm usually not this slow. . . *dies*))

Blue eyes lit up with delight as his new friend agreed with going to scope out the borders . . . together! Yes! This absolutely made them friends, and Udadalsvli wasn't going to so easily forget. He was a rather passionate soul, but it's what made him such a good hero. Unfortunately for Tawa'di, if he thought this was the last he'd be seeing of the little spotted and white-masked cub, he was incredibly mistaken!

"Awesome! You are the neatest winged-hero I've ever met," he added with a grin, very pleased in this knowledge. "It will be good to scout the borders, even if we are kind of small and younger than some of the adults. Because the more practice we get, the better prepared we'll be when we ARE bigger." It made total sense to Udadalsvli. And he was still young enough to believe in cubhood and juvenille immortality. They would be untouchable, Tawa'di and Udadal . . . .

He couldn't wait to tell Iyunge about his new friend! AND HIS SPEAKING BIRD! The orange spotted lion almost looked surprised when Mochni popped up, but his startled expression quickly turned in to a beam of joy. "Oh, that's so neat! Maybe . . maybe someday I can introduce you guys to my best friend, Iyunge. She's wanted to talk to a bird for such a long time, she'd be so thrilled to get to do so! If you ever want to meet her though, she's part of the . . . .," his brows squinted slightly as he tried to remember. Ah-ha! " . . . the Earth Clan!"

A glance up at the sky told Udadal everything he feared though. The day was getting on, and he was supposed to have been back long before he met his new winged friend, Tawa'di. His mother probably wouldn't care, because he always came up with some sort of story on wy he was late or why he'd wandered so far . . . but unfortunately he'd have to quickly move on. If he ever wanted to play with Tawa'di or Iyunge again, he'd better get home soon.

"Ok!" was all that Mochni said before latching himself more tightly to Tawa'di. The bird wasn't used to attention at all, but as he was stuck with the old lion turned young god, he was going to have to get used to it.

"We'll have to remember that," Tawa'di answered with a nod. He was a little amused and still overwhelmed with Udadal's excitement, but it was easy to get swept up with the excitement that the little one just oozed.

He watched as he looked upwards. The sun was moving, but then, it always did. He watched Udadal, trying to get a hint, but he wasn't catching anything. Better to just ask. "Do you have to...go back home?" That made sense, being young and all. "I'll go back with you, if you want."

Tawa'di assumed as much. He couldn't...quite help but show off a bit. He stretched his wings out, giving himself a little leap to gain some air, and glanced around him. Everything seemed calm, so it would be a safe trip home. He swirled down towards his new friend, ready to return home.
