The little girl tugged Parker close, and he grunted. "Ah okay," he said, not quite hugging her back. It was more of a forward lean. His eyes darted up to Aurora, as if he expected her to help him. Would she? Hmmph. Fat chance. He'd met the girl twice, and it was two times too many. At the store, she picked a fight with him, and he merely reciprocated. If he remembered, he'd had the last word then.
Today, he didn't feel much like picking a fight.
It was easy to overlook the movement from the backpack. Parker wasn't touching it, after all, and Aurora was enough of a distraction, even if she seemed just a clueless as he was. "She just walked up to me. I don't see anyone looking for a kid." His tone was cool, devoid of pleasantries. Parker was a robot reciting facts to a foreign party. "I was going to take her to the police station." The little girl was still holding on, but Parker didn't try to move her, not yet.
It was much better than her crying anyway.

Fannie leaned back slightly to stare at Parker...and smiled, A huge almost angelic smile that would melt many a heart as she got older. Maybe even a few -now- if you got down to it. Big eyes so filled with love and affection for her savior.
And then she opened her little mouth...
And screamed.
Glass cracked, near by, eardrums vibrated, and she did her best to drain the energy from her prey before she had to pause for air.
((The scream is her energy drawing attack as an FYI <3 thank you guys!))

-Wow!
It'd be a lie to say she wasn't taken aback by the glimmer of humanity she saw as Parker relayed the information. She'd even go so far as to say she was impressed. Not like 'gee, maybe he's not such a bad guy after all' impressed. But mostly definately a 'perhaps he does have some moments' kind of impressed. She nodded in soft agreement to the plan, eyes glancing around for someone in uniform.
It seemed he did have things under control... and did have the right idea. So... was she going to follow and supervise? Or go back to her window shopping?
Her thought was abandoned, decision quickly made when an unholy scream ripped through the streets, seeming to echo far louder then any child's voice should have. Her fingers lifted, bent and twitching, though they didn't quite make it up to her ears to shield them. Pivoting immediately her focus settled on Parker, eyes accusatory.- "What in the world did you do!?"
((Does it draw energy from everyone in the area? Or just who she's holding onto? *so she can make Aurora respond appropriately zapped in the next post if so* :3))

Aurora might be staring daggers at Parker, but he had no idea. As soon as Fannie started to scream, every muscle in his body tensed, and his body jerked away from her -- but the little girl had a death grip. The noise was too much for him to even try to quiet her, and even if he wanted to, his limbs would not cooperate.
Everything grew hazy, and after just a few seconds of her screaming, Parker went limp, body slumping in Fannie's tiny arms. The full force of her energy drain hit him squarely in the chest. Parker was defenseless. His eyes closed, and he felt himself slip under the pull of her energy drain.
There was little time for him to curse the glimmer of helpfulness that threw him into this predicament in the first place.

{{Area attack <3 asked vamps to be sure that was ok! thanks for asking! sorry I wasn't clear! - area = 1/2 block, only lasts as long as each scream. Normal humans feel truly weak after 3 screams - auto effect is "What was that!" kind of feeling
Parker's reaction was awesome but we'll assume most of it was due to the shock of being so close making him feel sluggish? TY!!}}
Fannie glanced around pleased with the shocked faces she's created for a half block around.... She took another breath, it seemed to go all the way down her little legs, tilted her head back and screamed again. People swayed on their feet but were not yet 'down' it was clear the civilians couldn't feel quite 'right' though, while some might seem a little more resilient than others.
Orf's plush head split into a grin and a felted red tongue lolled out over all to real teeth.

-Around them people had stopped, stopped to stare at whatever child was creating such a racket. Others had scurried along with their hands clutched to their ears, trying to get as far away from the 'problem' as they possibly could. Other seemed fazed.. to stumble lightly, or lift their hands to their heads with the sudden and strange sensation of fatigue. Aurora noticed this vaguely, only really because she too felt a familar wave of weakness. So like the one she felt after that little gingerbread girl's icing rope had gooed onto her leg.-
"P.. Parker!?" -Her voice was startled, sharp enough to draw her attention to the figures in front of her again. Parker slumped and she broke forward instinctually. Leaning in she tried to scoop him up from under the arms and lift him off the tiny girl. She could worry about a shower to get his cooties off of her later. Something was most certainly NOT right. And she needed to get Parker AND the little girl out of there before all hell broke loose.-

The screaming in his ear was enough to knock Parker on his a**, and the sudden manhandling from Aurora was enough to send his eyes flying open. "What the ********," he spat, oblivious to the no-no word he'd used to front of child.
Cradled in Aurora's arms (basically), Parker found himself exceptionally embarrassed. "Get off," he said, pushing himself free from her arms. This resulted in his a** hitting pavement, just as Fannie reared back to scream again. His hands flew to his ears, eyes squinting, but it didn't stop the wave from crashing over him, making his legs feel as if they had fallen asleep.
On the ground, Parker turned and caught a glimpse of Fannie's backpack. Fannie's backpack that had a tongue. And teeth. Fannie's backpack that was alive. "Holy s**t, her backpack has a face," he said, scrambling away from the kid as fast as his legs could carry him. "The backpack has a ******** moving face!" Parker had seem some weird s**t in his time in Destiny City, but a living backpack was pretty high up on that list.
Whatever this kid was or was not, Parker was more terrified of her than he was before. His stomach felt empty, like he hadn't eaten in days. Could he even stand? Whatever was going on, Parker didn't care about the little girl's welfare anymore. He just wanted to get out of there.

Fannie reached to put arms around his neck again, smiling like he was the very best play thing in the world... orf seemed to think so too, its plush head twisted like someone had gripped it and twisted it to face 'forward', it leered with a cheshire's hungry mad grin.
"ORF!" it declared and opened it's mouth to roll out a felt tongue that must have been a long coil in its belly, licking outward to try and latch on to Aurora.

-Aurora stumbled back as Parker pushed free, almost taking a fall on her a** as well, managing to prop herself with one hand. Her glare was back, recalling all too readily his ungratefulness. Perhaps she'd thought to soon on the possiblity of merits he might have.
Her narrowed eyes slowly widened at the 180 however, eyes turning as the words sounded. The backpack has a ******** moving face The face twisted and moved teeth baring warningly, her hands came forward to try and shove the little girl away as it lurched towards Parker again. She felt like she was moving in slow motion. And then she, Aurora, realized why. Her sachel clattered to the ground, fingers digging frantically through the fabric until it settled onto what she's was looking for. The tongue latched around her outstreched leg, wriggling as if trying to get a tighter grip despite her attempts to crab walk away from it.
She could only pray that people weren't paying attention. That everyone was too frantic about getting the hell out of there.. That noone would have recognized her anyway.- "Polaris Power Makeup!"
-There was glitter and lights, perhaps some nearby witnesses would think a light had broken in the chaos, and thick boots now left a small layer of protection between the tongue and her leg. She kicked in defense, faster now thankfully, trying to free herself.
It was simple enough to assume that this was no youma.. unless the backpack itself was the monster. No.. with the music from before.. it was just like last time. Some poor child mutated by those aliens into a weapon of destruction. Would she be able to save this one though? The backpack. She'd just have to aim for the backpack.
A quick glance at the area for metal, brought from her a sound of frusteration. Too many people. Still WAY too many people to use her powers. Someone was bound to get hurt in the process. She didn't have long to think.
Getting up, finally shaking her leg free, her arms looped around Parker again, much more firmly this time. God she hoped he was too tired to fight this.. because she was well aware just how WELL he was going to take it.
She was dragging, or atleast trying to drag him, as fast as she could towards the nearest alleyway.- "Come on sweetheart. You want your snack? You're going to have to catch him first"

A lot of confusing things were happening, and Parker had a hard time deciding which to be more freaked out by. The living backpack attached to the possessed child was pretty bad. The giant lolling tongue was a creepy too. But it was the sudden transformation of Aurora to Sailor Polaris that made Parker's breath catch in his throat, a stuttered "The ********?" breaking free before she started to fight back.
Aurora was a senshi. Figured, as if she didn't have enough. But she was a familiar senshi -- the one who had saved him from the youma with a blond girl a couple months ago. That was a surprise, but not more surprising than the fact that Aurora Namid had saved his life. Spoiled little Crystal girl, a lifesaver? This did not compute.
And was his life worth the risk of revealing herself? Maybe not. There were other people around that she was probably fight for, not him. He was just a lucky bystander.
Parker's head was heavy, his thoughts sluggish. Whatever was happening, it made him feel weak. So weak that he couldn't even resist when Aurora scooped him up like a little kid and rushed off toward the alley. He could only manage an annoyed, "Heeey..."

Fannie stomped, pouting at the sight of her 'toy' being dragged away, pointed at them and charged a few steps after before turning, 'Orf' Facing forward, its tongue was almost frog-like for being felt. Lashing out to try and wrap around Parker's ankle to reclaim him.

-Ughhh... he was SO heavy! Seemingly moreso thanks to the couple of good drains the little girl had gotten. Senshi or not, the signs of fatigue were obvious on the girl. Her breath was panting, her arms sagging under the weight of a pretty much full grown boy. The trip was wavering, both out of tiredness and trying to miss people and things at foot level while still dragging her bait/victim.
She could see the alley though, it was so close...
The sudden tug in the other direction brought her a few steps backward to keep from falling straight over with a Parker cushioning. Even partly immobilized he was troublesome it seemed.
Abandon plan one. Hope for the best.
Polaris made a clumsy attempt to lower Parker with one arm and grasp the tongue firmly with her other hand. She just needed to try and get it to let go and pay attention to her. And if that didn't work...
Her voice was shrill as she tried to yell over the chaos.- "Eeeeiii. Run away, a terrorist!!"
-One last chance. She was about to smash that backpack from hell to bits. Or atleast she hoped so.
Voice closer to a whisper she called out her attack, figuratively crossing her fingers that the backpack would get the best of it. Deep down she knew the poor little girl was bound to get some.. along with potentially other civilians. Around the street smaller pieces of metal shivered to life on the sidewalks and in the bags of bystanders, shivered and then suddenly flung themselves towards their target.-

Parker grunted when the long tongue caught a hold of his ankle. He felt himself falling out of Polaris' arms. At the last second, his hands shot out to brace the impact on to the ground. A mumbled curse fell from his lips, but he felt too sluggish to waste energy on bitching.
Sailor Polaris said something familiar. He had seen her attack once before when the youma attacked him on the street. Then she had pulled a metal trashcan toward it. Now, it seemed like every bit of metal was vibrating and skittering across the side walk.
Parker ducked his head and narrowly avoided taking a tin can to the face. Jesus, she could've taken his head off! With his free leg, he kicked wildly at the strange felt tongue, shooting a glare at Polaris. It was half-hearted. Parker was too weak to muster up much ferocity.

Derpraline was not pleased. Derpraline was flying through the air. Normally this would have enthused her, being that it was something new and she couldn't previously ever remember having flown before. Only birds flew, and sometimes she was desperately jealous of the fact that there was no hat in the world that could help her fly, no matter how many wings she put on it. The current record was twelve, for the hat-curious and to warm her memory of hats. She'd been minding her own business when the fight had started and until then she'd been on the sidelines to make sure nothing drastic was happening. Daydreaming a bit, probably. And then, the pretty glittery senshi had done something and the little cat was being hauled along by her cowbell.
Derpraline was not pleased.
Mewling and yowling plaintively, she started to yell outloud, not much caring for who heard her as long as it was stopped. "Senshi senshi stop this help meeee nooo why would you do thiiissss?" It had never occurred to her tiny brain that perhaps this was what the senshi should be doing and that she might actually need help. But then, Derp was not the swiftest kitty in the mental department.

Can's made shallow cuts with their sharp kids, metal shrapnel thudding into the backpack and the child wearing it, it continued to reel in, or try to real in Parker, at least till some peice of metal tore into the felt of its tongue and it let out a gutteral SNARL.
Fannie screamed again, a can laid open her arm, but rather than bleeding a tuft of white appeared, stuffing, just like the animal on her back.
