The calls are pretty shitty.. But the trainers actually improve lmao. Joey has a level 4 rattata first time you fight him. I got a call from him a few days later and it was a level 34 Raticate :O So definitely worth the battles now biggrin ~Hampy heart

43 Pupitar
50 Ampharos
41 Gyrados*
47 Ho-Oh
38 Typhlosion
43 Victreebel
And yeea... I might bring back my badass Butterfree razz

The trainer calls arent pointless, well not all of them are. As Hampy said they do get stronger but also certain trainers will often call you to say they found an item they want to give you which is usually an evolution stone. If I remember correctly this was the only way to get multiple evolution stones in gold and silver. Not sure if its all the same in the new games though.

Just got Soul Silver today. So far I have a lvl 9 Zubat, lvl 12 Pidgey, lvl 12 Cyndaquil and Im about to go catch me a Gastly. Also I love the auto run button, my poor DS cant handle much more constant holding down B. Btw is there a way to make it so your lead pokemon doesnt follow you around? Or if you can set it so its always a certain pokemon regardless where they are in your party?

I just got the 7th badge, though it took a while. I found where to get my lickitung, but this stupid guy keeps convincing me to check out the sights before he will let me pass. I dont see why I cant just kick his a** with my goldeen or something. stupidstupidstupid
