Lizzy frowned as she recalled that time, "Well....I am ashamed to say I did. It was after we had our pups...one of them, we aren't sure how....one of them turned out to be a demon. I sheltered him too much, and I...turned my back on Hector without realizing it. When our pups were grown, I finally saw the distance between us and I thought I was too late to fix it." she said, feeling a few tears come to her eyes and she wiped them away with her paw.

"I'm sorry, I didn't realize. Please don't cry," Aurora frowned, feeling badly for bringing up a painful memory. She sighed not wanting to ask anything that may be hurtful. "I am sure you did not mean it and the way you smiled a moment ago, I am sure he forgave you," she nodded.
Seeing no way around it, she decided to simply tell Elizabeth what exactly was on your mind. "I only asked because I did something and while it was said that I wouldn't be rid of him, I worry that I messed up our friendship." She looked down, dragging one paw over the ground as she thought. It was far more complicated than that but the rest was not something that anyone could help her with.

Sniffling a little, Elizabeth looked to Aurora and gave a reassuring smile, "Oh no, no need to apoligize at all, I was new to being a mother and I thought I had to give all my attention to my pups. But I learned." Smiling again, she nodded, "And he did forgive me...and I thank my lucky stars every night he did." she stated softly.
Listening intently to Aurora's confession, she tilted her head, "It sounds like you two really need to talk. If he is a true friend, he won't let whatever happened come between you two and you can both move on together." she said with a smile.

That did seem to be the right thing to do but it was hard to do when she hadn't seen him. Not that she blamed him, she wasn't sure she'd want to see herself if she'd been in his position. Then she wasn't sure she could stay away either.
"Yes, but I haven't seen him," she admitted. She gave a smile small, perhaps he was scrounging up more rum though she (gladly) doubted he would be offering her any in the future. After all she was a very bad drunk, as he had told her. It made her laugh wondering how he could like such a vile drink which only seemed to have the saving grace of being liked by him.
She gave a head a soft shake, "I am sure he is only busy." Optimism said so and there was no use in assuming the worst. At least not yet. She wasn't sure she was ready, or wanted, to try finding her way back to her father's kingdom. Phillip would surely hate the company she had been keeping.
With an irritated huff at herself, she wondered what it was with the two of them. If it wasn't Jack in her head, it was Phillip and vice versa. Were male really worth the trouble they caused?

"Well, can I ask who is this male? My family is quite large, blood or not, and they know many other otters. Maybe I can help you find him and you two can talk and clear the air." she said, eager to help her friend out.

Aurora wasn't sure if should name him or not. What if they did not like Jack? As far as she knew, besides her, he did not have many friends--only Scupper'd, though she was unsure if a cabin boy was really a friend. "I-" she paused, realizing there was no way out of it.
"That would be helpful. I don't know if you know him. His name is Captain Jack Sparrow," she smiled, oblivious to any animosity others may have for the pirate who was her friend. After all, she had been privy to a very different side than most were allowed to see.

Elizabeth's left eye twitched when Aurora told her who she was having problems with and she had to cough into her paw to stop herself from grabbing Aurora by her shoulders, shaking her and asking her if she was crazy. Composing herself, she ran a paw down her coat, "Yes....Jack...one of the otters that came with us when me and Hector were brought here..." she stated.

Thankfully Aurora did not notice any slight in Elizabeth's response. "You do know him then?" she smiled. "He is very kind and sweet. Isn't he?" While it was certainly true when she had ever been around him, not everyone was going to see him that way. Still she hoped that her new friend was not someone who thought ill of him.
"I don't think he's ever mentioned you or Hector. Is Hector your mate?" she asked in slight hope of changing the topic.

"Kind and sweet are not the words I would use to describe Jack." she said, keeping her response vague so not to sound insulting. It seemed Aurora was quite smitten with the rum loving pirate, from what she had gathered so far. If he hurt her, Elizabeth would seek Jack out herself and have 'words' with him.
Keeping her thoughts to herself, she smiled when Aurora asked about Hector, "Yes, Hector Barbossa is my mate, and also a pirate. In fact, I am a pirate myself, the Pirate King." she said, her stance and demeanor changing a bit, feeling quite proud of her accomplishments.

"I did not know there was a king of pirates," she admitted. She, in fact, didn't really know much about pirates at all. She remember what Jack had told when they first met but obviously that was not all pirates. For Elizabeth did not seem the type to pillage and steal for no other reason than she could.
"It must be a great honor," she added upon seeing the pride radiating from the female. She wasn't sure if it was honor or responsibility or both but Elizabeth was obviously happy about it. "How does one become Pirate King?"

"Well, to put it simply, there are pirate lords, and they must vote who must be king. Jack is actually a pirate lord himself." she let out a sigh, like she was embarrassed to admit it, "No pirate lord would ever vote for another....but it was Jack who voted for me, and with my vote and his, I 'won' the election." she said, remembering that fight before and after it happened.

"A pirate lord?" He had failed to mention that. She gave a soft smile but did now let her thoughts go far down the path the information opened up. "Then you should be thankful that he voted for you. If as you say, no pirate lord would ever vote for another, then he is undoubtedly one of a kind."
Still she was curious about this hierarchy the pirates seemed to have. "How does one become a pirate lord?"

Elizabeth grudginly had to agree with Aurora, because if it wasn't for Jack, she wouldn't have her title, though she learned later on, he did it for his own selfish reasons. When she was asked how to become one, Lizzy gave her a look as if to say 'it's not for your ears', "I honestly think you shouldn't know Aurora. Just know that Jack is one and be happy with that." she stated, not wanting to 'taint' her mind with just how violent otter pirates could be.

Aurora sighed but said nothing in return, though one day she was likely to tell people that it was not for them to decide what she should know. Luckily, today was not that day and she let it slide. "I wouldn't mind if it wasn't, he doesn't need to be a pirate lord to be my friend," she gave a shrug. Unlike most of the Oasis, she liked him fine the way he was, for who he was.
"I wouldn't have given him my necklace if I thought he wasn't good enough to be my friend." It wasn't until it was out of her mouth that she wondered if she should have said that.

Elizabeth quirked an eyebrow, but instead thought it quite sweet. Maybe there was something in Jack Aurora saw that Elizabeth never got to see. "That is a kind gesture of you to give to him." she said with a smile, 'He better be cherishing it and not traded it for rum.' she thought to herself, imagining stringing him up by his tail if he dared do such a horrible thing.
