"Hmmmmm..."
That was a good question. As the thought of a way to respond to the question, the tailless feline easily welcomed the opportunity to receive some more petting.
"I suspect I will spend my time looking for the rest of my girls. As always. Probably stop to visit each of you when I can. I could always use some company while I am working though."
In a sense, it was an invitation for the girl to join her on some patrolling.
Being polite, she bounced the question back. "And what about you? Obviously you aren't doing the Sailor Scout thing 100% of the time? What sorts of things will be occupying your time, Lilith?" With a smile, she turned back to the dog and added "And you too Raja? What will you be doing?"

Her fingers ran along the back of the cat's head and neck, nails now and then pausing to scratch behind either ear. Gentle nods came at the end of each of ********* sentences before she blinked at the almost-invitation. And promptly beamed. "I can't promise for during class hours, but if you ever would like for me to join you, you need but ask." Which was true. As much fun as patrolling could be, constantly doing it alone... wasn't always the most thrilling way to spend her time.
If she could, she would have reached down into the bag beneath the bench to pull out her pen to further support her words, but that would have to wait for another time if she seriously had to do it at some point.
She wasn't prepared to have her question used on herself. "Oh. Well, reading," her free hand traveled to her book at this before continuing, "homework, patrolling as well - I try to make sure I get out every night." She clicked through her various activities mentally, wondering what might possibly be of interest to the feline. Her computer use, although frequent due to technological accommodations, didn't make the list. "Though I've recently discovered I'm rather fond of pottery making." She had to take some form of art class, and had picked that. Oh the wonder that was morphing clay on a potter's wheel, and actually being able to feel any detail working she did.
Did those things count for occupying her time? Her mind was wondering, Raja taking use of her silence to give a quick yip and nudging Lilith's leg before rising to her feet and trotting off beyond the gardens. After a moment, she returned, a stick in her mouth, and sat neatly before the cat and girl. Raja's answer? Watch after her human (as it was her most important of jobs in her book), and playing. When Lilith's free hand rose to figure out what the dog had done, and was met with a stick in her hand, she laughed outright.

********* head bounced around almost like one of those bobble head dolls with all the nodding she was doing. It certainly livened the air with many more jingling sounds.
"Reading, homework, patrolling, and pottery. That sounds like a pretty full schedule!" A light laughter escaped the cat. "Well, I am glad that at least one of my girls takes her responsibilities seriously. I will take you up on that offer of joining you if I need you!"
Maybe Lilith should have thought that offer through more carefully. She was now doomed to frequent visits and patrol requests from the guardian cat.
Raja left, but Raja came back. ********* eyes caught upon the actual item that got brought back, almost seeming to completely forget her train of thought. Of course, the feline couldn't play fetch with a stick. They were too big and pokey for a simple cat like herself.
The cat wandered over to the dog and rubbed up against her snout again. "I like your taste in games, Raja!"

Was it such a full schedule? She thought about that for a moment before giving a cheerful shrug. "It keeps me busy and most of it I rather enjoy, so I suppose I never noticed." Though she titled her head at the 'at least one of my girls' bit, her giggle and enthusiasm kicked away any commentary towards it in favor of future patrols with *********. "I can't wait!" Which really, she couldn't. She was genuinely thrilled about it.
She had no idea, never would have dreamed to consider, that she just sold her soul to the guardian. Even if she had, no potential negatives would have dared flickered into her head. Oh the pros and cons of a somewhat naive mind.
Lilith took the stick from Raja, and while both dog and girl knew she had no aim, flung it out to wherever it might land. She'd thrown it off to her right. Somewhere behind a small stretch of needs-to-be-weeded garden. A cold nose pressed itself against ********* in a return rub, ears perking to hear the approval of her play-time choice. Even Lil blinked to this, looking down to where the cat was. "Do you... want to play, *********> Was that rude to ask? She was hesitant enough asking, the prayer she wasn't offending clear on her face. Instead of awaiting the answer, a flash of golden fur bolted after the stick, located it, and trotted back. This time, instead of giving it right back to Lilith (who had her hand open and waiting upon hearing Raja return), the dog looked to ********* and mannered the stick in her mouth as if to give it to the cat. In dog language, she was repeating her human's question, even if it was in a slightly awkward manor. It wasn't like she had hands to make it less so.

A childish laughter escaped the feline, finding something rather amusing. However, she eventually cut herself short and pointed with a paw to her mouth. "Sorry Raja, I can't play with that. It's too big for my mouth!"
Carefully, she turned around and bumped against Lilith's body with her head in a gentle fashion. "Next time, bring a rubber band or a milk carton tab, and then we can play."
Without a hint to what she was doing, the cat then bounced off the bench, landing right next to the canine. As if Raja was a person, the feline rubbed herself up against the dog's legs. From her new location on the ground, she announced her intentions. "I need to get back to work." With a slight head-bump to the dog's leg, she then began to pad away.
"I will see you later, Lilith."

Raja gave a small whine, one ear flicking back ever so slightly. Her way of an apology, though as she handed the stick to Lilith, a cheerful little bark seemed to hint to her understanding of the whole "big stick not for little kitty." The brunette at least was able to giggle and take high note of the rubber band and milk carton tab - the former would be especially easy to acquire at the school. She gave the feline a quick scratch behind the ear as she grinned, "Will do then."
Only to then have ********* vanish from beneath her hand, listening to the jingle of her bell as she landed. While she couldn't hear Raja when she leaned down to give the cat a nuzzle, she could pick up the sounds of the tail flicking back and forth a good bit. And, of course, the vocalization of what was going on. Her smile returned, soft - she'd be lying to say she was sad to see ********* go, though knew the cat couldn't stay forever. Her head gave a quick little nod. "Good-bye till then, *********. Be safe!"
Of course the cat would be safe, was her final thoughts on it as she slowly picked up her book again, settling down to returning to trying to finish the darned thing. What could possibly happen to her between now and when they next met?
