"Well, family is nice. But friends are nicer," Usdi said lightly, although he listened to Poa and nodded. "See, that's why I'm going to marry a girl in Bird Clan. So I don't have to move. And there's a couple other litters in Bird Clan that aren't related to me. So I just have to find a girl in one of them!"

Friends? They equalled distractions in Poa's serious little mind. Seriously, this boy needed to learn to have a little fun! Odd how most of the Subiani family were fun loving lions with only a couple of exceptions to the rule. Kohana - Poa's older brother - was also a fine example of duty over fun.
"Ew." Poa curled a lip. "Well, I'll leave all that sissy stuff to you. I think I'll be better off without that." Yep...typical boy. Funny how by trying to be mature, he ended up just seeming immature, which was only right of course. He was still so young.
The boy stood again and padded his paws against the ground. "Um, yeah, so I'm gonna go now. Maybe we'll see each other around some other time." He shrugged. "I dunno."

"Well good luck getting to the top! If you ever get bored and want to have, I dunno, some fun for a change, just give me a holler!" Usdi said, laughing at the look on Poa's little face and getting to his paws. His tail tip flicked eagerly behind him as he turned back towards where he had come from. "See you later, Poa!" And with that, Usdi was off, heading back to his den area.
