"...It's a giant cat-person." Regulus pointed out, somewhat incredulously, which said about all it needed to for how seriously he was taking the situation. Allergies could be a b***h though, and it WAS pretty freaking weird.
"Claws of the Lion!" For once the attack wasn't aimed at Wolframite, but close to the cat-man, who looked like he was trying to cuddle up to the fallen Wolframite.
Ko shot straight up as the fire blades piffed off the pavement near him, fur bristling as his ears folded back in a startled HISS.

It was a cat-person, but more specifically, a cat-man, which made it even more uncomfortable when it started to purr and rub up against him. The fact it was a cat, purring, and was soft made the urge to pet it almost unbearable, but the fact it looked partly like a man made him stop. He didn’t need this time of mental trauma in his life, and if this had been a dream, he would have been seeing a shrink the following morning.
Not finding this the most appropriate time and place to start putting his sexuality into question, he instead held the makeshift handkerchief tightly to his face to try and breath. As far as fighting went, he was proving himself to be very useless. This was not his intention, and neither was having Regulus saving him. Hearing the attack, Wolframite fully expected to get a face full of fire, but instead saw the senshi aim for the Ko, which missed. Of all the times for that to happen.
Seeing his opportunity, he stepped back, and despite himself, went closer to Regulus. The Lieutenant was all for getting ride of the act. “The woman we saw is against everything. They say they want to steal energy and talk about trees a lot. They even say they are aliens and go around making these things.” He gestured at the hissing cat-man as he filled Regulus on what was going on, putting the handkerchief into one of his pockets so he could talk and breath. It was just a matter of keeping away from the cat. Too bad he didn’t have a long-range weapon.

Ko was still hissing, and on all fours, making a somewhat bizzare parody of a feline arched back, though as the two spoke, he narrowed his eyes and sat on his haunches, since the one throwing things wasn't immediately attacking again.
"So you're saying the Pillsbury dough cat is actually dangerous, and not just weird? Regulus shot Wolframite a quick, leery glance. "I really would like to say I thought you were just pulling a fast one, but if she's on your side it's pretty dumb for her to drop something off and have it go after YOU."
...It was at this point that the man-cat decided to yawn. It was a REALLY impressive yawn, displaying both cuddly, fuzzy sleepiness...and feline contempt for the entire situation. Coincidentally it also showed that he had a rough, bubble gum pink feline tongue and pointy cat teeth. "...Kooooooo" It sighed, as it snapped it's jaws shut again.
The effect this had on Regulus was also interesting... and comparatively subtle compared to the source. *Yawwwn* "Man you have got to be kidding me. Why can't one night of this s**t be... *yawwwwwwwwwn* Boring. I'm loosing sleep over this stupid..." He stifled yet a third yawn. "Cat."

While Ladon was at one disadvantage, he had an defense against the cats yawning. His eyes were watching too much and he was in the middle of a phantom sneeze that he couldn’t yawn. Instead, he rubbed one of his eyes not out of being tired, but out of trying to get them clear. Sinuses. What a pain. As he sniffled, he looked over to the senshi, who was yawning wide. Because of that, he yawned too, and then shook his head. “What’s wrong? Past your bedtime?” And he was calling him the child. At least he didn’t look like he was ready to take a nap here in the parking lot.
Together, they looked like a mess. “I’m done with this cat.” He stated, deciding he had enough breath in him that he could hit it if he tried. Just one hit and he could leap back again and be far from it. Flicking the jump rope, he eyed the cat, which was a bad idea because it really did look harmless. He then remembered the cookie girl he fought before, and how harmless she appeared before she started attacking people. Pushing off, he went head on with the cat, going for a wide sweep of his weapon.

"a*****e." Regulus snarled, though even this sounded foggy. "NO! I wasn't tired... a second ago." He paused to smother another yawn, trying to shake himself clear of the haze of sleepiness. Especially with that damn cat monster who sort of looked like a big, pudgy pillow...
Ko started to yawn again, perhaps frustrated that he hadn't been able to sway both young men with his attacks, only to get slammed upside and around the head with a jump rope, letting out a startled and unpleasant shriek and jerking backward in surprise, grabbing at the rope with his paw-hands. This was NOT the way it was supposed to work! Wasn't he round, wasn't he cuddly? Wasn't he ADORABLE damnit??

The moment the jump rope hit and the cat yelped, he felt bad. Really bad. Ladon loved animals, even the ones he was allergic too, and the cat hadn't really done anything too terrible. It was just annoying, and he couldn't bring up any real hatred for the animal that could justify destroying it. Sure it belonged to the aliens, but it really wasn't doing much of anything. It had no frosting rope to hit him with. It was just a big, fluffy cat, and it seemed happy to be just that.
When the creature pounced on his jump rope, Wolframite stopped, standing there and watching the creature look as if it was playing. Was it playing? Did it think it was a toy or a big thread like from a ball of yard? Either way, he found it too adorable for words, and he gave up. "Oh come on. How can I fight you when you're doing that?" The cat didn't seem to speak English and instead seemed to be a bit miffed with him.
Even when he told himself he wouldn't be pulled in, he stopped his attack and knelt down, offering a hand for the cat to come to. If it really was harmless, he'd just scratch it's ear and give up on the fight. Who needed to fight when it wasn't doing any harm and was just being cuddly? Even when he started to sneeze a bit more, he still wanted to pet the kitty.

Ko was of course entirely too eager to let poor, allergic Wolframite scratch behind his ear, and crane his neck and purr at the gesture, though really it was a strange thing. Maybe it was just that Ko was so cuddly and soft, but the more he petted, the more tired he would become.

He settled on his knees, slowly sitting down and feeling much more relaxed. "I guess I was wrong. He's not that bad at all." His eyes were watering, and he continued to turn his head to sneeze polity away from the cat, but it didn't seem to mind it at all. It continued to let him pet him, scratch his ears and purred loudly enough that it made the Lieutenant smile. He never had a cat before which made the pleasure of having one around, hearing it purr and be affectionate all the better. While he should have been paying attention, his entire guard was dropped and he felt himself tire, like the purring was putting him to sleep like a gentle lullaby. It was a little hard to breath, what with sniffling and sneezing, but he only took his makeshift handkerchief out and continued to pet the gigantic kitty.

"Didn't you just tell me that they were dangerous?" Regulus fought another yawn. True he wasn't getting as much sleep these days as he would like, but he was no stranger to a good energy drink since becoming a Senshi, and it shouldn't have worn off this fast... "Dude... you're allergic as hell. What are you thinking??" He demanded. That was probably the part that rang the most bells, since the cat creature itself looked totally harmless, just strange. Pretty much the opposite of a Youma. With Wolframite sniffing, sneezing, (and Regulus wondering if he was allergic enough for his throat to close up) he couldn't get past the idea that something was just... not right here. Probably the right thing to do would have been to leave Wolframite to the cat thing and...whatever it was doing, since at least if it was deadly it was probably less horrifying than being run through by Kunzite... but he just couldn't do it. He didn't want to see a boy in the obituary's tomorrow who looked a little like Wolframite. "Claws of the Lion!"
The blazing claws hit Ko dead on, and the cat-creature went bolt upright again, bucking away from the Negaverse agent with smoldering gashes on its body, snarling angrily and clearly hurt and angry, tail lashing as Regulus drew his hands back in preparation for another attack.
"Wolframite. Back away from the Kitty. Regulus began to order, though Ko had other ideas, reaching to grab the small Negaverse Lieutenant and hold him as a shield.

Even while his eyes were watering, he still sat there, half miserable from his allergies and the other half enjoying himself and wishing he had a cat of his own. This of course was not a good idea for him, but it was nice to dream once in a while. Even while Regulus was repeating what Wolframite just said, the Lieutenant just shrugged his shoulders. “I thought so.” He muttered, not really even paying attention to the senshi anymore. Regulus wasn’t cute. He was annoying and got on his nerves. He liked Ko’s company much more, and the cat person wasn’t even attacking him. Maybe it was a dud monster?
At the sound of Regulus’ attack, he coiled back and guarded himself against the lashing flames that slashed atop Ko’s skull. Fur singed and sent the Cardian flying away from him. Without a distraction, he was left wiping his wet eyes and feeling tired. Every part of him said that the asphalt looked like an inviting place to take a nap, even if it was a bit dirty. Exhausted and a bit disoriented, he looked about to remind himself where he was, before Regulus snapped at him to leave the cat alone and start moving. He frowned, not at all liking any senshi telling him what to do, but he slowly got up just in time to have the cat return. Scooped up, he was held up in front and it didn’t take him long to realize he wasn’t being hugged but being used as a shield. This didn’t please him at all, and neither did being pressed up and surrounded by cat fur. Sure, it was warm, soft, and cuddly, but it was now sending his sinuses reeling from the overload.
He struggled to break free, but he felt too tired, and could hardly see past his watering eyes. Maybe petting the cat had been a bad idea?

For a guy who'd given Regulus his first black eye... Wolframite was currently being particularly frustrating, but then again the entire situation was a little ironic, saving a Negaverse agent, so maybe that was appropriate. "Would you KICK him or something??" He demanded, trying to line up a shot around the struggling Wolframite, as Ko, hissing and snarling, did his best to keep Wolframite between them.

"O-KAY! Just SHUT UP Already!" Shouting at him wasn't helping anything, and he could barely even see now or breath and he was acting like it was easy as pie. He'd like to see how well he would handle the situation if he was allergic and current surrounded by furry arms!
Fed up and with the last spurt of energy he had, he hiked his leg up and then kicked back as hard as he could, hoping to get the cat off of him. While Ko was cute when he was just being petted, being used as a shield was defiantly not cool.

Annoying Wolframite into action hadn't -exactly- been the plan, but hell...any port in the storm, as the extremely outdated expression went, and it certainly seemed to have had some effect.
Ko -howled- as Wolframites hard soled shoe drilled into him, yanking back, just far enough away for another volley of "Claws of the Lion" to whistle past Wolframite with alarming proximity, testament to either amazing luck... or a sign that Regulus was getting better at aiming his unusual attack. It could have really been either.
The effect was the same, the creature was clearly suffering, and one last volley, this from a now exhausted sounding Regulus, sent it reeling for good... leaving a slightly singed card to flutter to the ground.

Dropping to his hands and knees, Wolframite caught his breath. He felt tired without having done anything at all, and his head was throbbing with an intense pressure. He also looked a mess, and sitting down, took the makeshift hankerchief and wiped his nose, and used his sleeve to wipe his eyes, his face damp from sneezing. It at least felt better to breath again, though he gave a look to where Ko once was. He had a bit of a soft spot for animals, but with Ko's purring no longer influencing him, he wasn't heartbroken over seeing it go. What he did notice was that he had been utterly useless during this battle, and if it hadn't been for Regulus, he probably would have just passed out.
It took him a moment to swallow his pride down, the massive horse-pill that it was, and he cleared his throat. "Thanks." Well, it was better than nothing, and it wasn't like the senshi was going to get anything more out of him.

Regulus, putting his hands on his knees as though the attacks had tired him out (they had) Raised his eyebrows and then ran his fingers through his hair. "...Yeah.... no problem." He sighed. "...That was completely nuts. It's a ******** card?" He asked, staring at the spot where the cat creature had been. Again... it was a little bizarre to be standing her talking to a Negaverse agent, but since they temporarily had a common foe... and a common exhaustion. "...This wasn't already insane enough, now we have the Card Soldiers from ******** wonderland."
