Tommy was the headline grabber of the Crue-always has been. He can get on people's nerves, but he's charismatic. It pisses me off when I say Tommy Lee and they go...."Yeah, Pam Anderson's ex." or "Oh yeah, the sex tape guy."
Knowing Motley and not knowing Tommy is a sin.
Knowing Tommy and not knowing Motley is a sin.
Going to a Motley concert and flashing Tommy for the t*tty cam...well that's something else.

I just love Tommy.... heart I've met him several times, and he's a definite people person. He loves being in the spotlight-obviously.

I got really sick of my friends asking me who motley cru was so now I tell them everyday to tell me whos in the band and what do they play and a fact about them. ANd of course have them listen to the music. God. Theres this one fat chick who claims to love crue because she wears a dr. feelgood shirt and one time I was walking down the hall and she said "HEY ANNIE" SHe was wearing her sweatshirt pulled it up fatrolls came pouring out and then went "oops" and showed me her feelgood shirt. So in conclusion I hate people who say they like crue but don't have a clue who/what evil their talking about.

masuabie check it out my favorite is tommy lee cause he is an amazing drummer...dont u hate it when people know who tommy lee is but not motley crue?? it doesn't piss me off at all, i can understand because Tommy is always in the media eye...not everyone knows what band he is in all the time...which i can get why.

That's a good point. It doesn't piss me off, it just annoys me. If it wasn't for Pam and that damn sex tape, no one would have a clue who even Tommy was. It's sad that it's reasons like that that people know him instead of for his talent. I also love Jussi 69, the drummer from the 69 Eyes because he's actually more energetic than Tommy, but since he hasn't had a sex tape or anything, people have no idea who he is (unless they've seen either the last episode of Viva La Bam when they go to find the Russian Mail Order Bride, or MTV Cribs with Castle Bam). Anyway, it's really not a pissing off thing, more like a complete annoyance stare

well, I don't really know anyone that knows Tommy Lee and not Motley crue.I'm pretty sure it would annoy me a little tho.

It's annoying, sure, but I've noticed that it tends to happen with a lot of bands, where one member stays more predominent in pop culture than the others. Take KISS for example; most people can't pinpoint who Ace Frehley or Paul Stanley are, but everyone knows Gene.
Tommy simply put forth more effort to stay in the general eye of the public; TV shows, solo albums, etc. Nikki, Vince, or Mick could do the same thing if they wanted.

Besides, that sex sex tape is ********' hilarious. Tommy says the corniest, and does the dumbest s**t in it. Assclown! No matter how retarded he's getting in media, (ie. ending up in Fatty Missy Elliot videos), I will still always hold respect for his ******** radical drumming in the old days.

if someone isnt interested in this kind of music -then it makes sense that they wouldnt be interested in knowing this band regardless of how famous Lee is

blinkythekinky never heard of Mcfly.... anywho i've got a great story. there is this guy at my school who every once in a while stick his head phones on my ears and has me guess the band. he usually does bands like iron maiden and metallica, im sure they're great bands but i was never into them so i never guessed right. i've gotten to the point where i can recognize metallica whee . so one day as my friend has me pinned to the table(don't ask) he puts the head phones in my ears and because of the angle i was in i couldn't hear the music, when i told him i guess he just assumed i was trying to cover up not knowing and he walked away. so once i got up i went over to him and took an ear piece put it in my ear for like 2 seconds and gave it back to him. told him it was motley crue and walked away. the look on his face was priceless. Nice...

i get mad when people know tommy but not the crue. It does because the crue is the best band out there. It doesn't though because tommy's an awesome drummer anyone could here is drumming learn about him and not know about the crue. but that person is stupid not to take a look at any of the other members. its there fault thats why it doesn't extremely piss me off, but it kind of does.
