Well, Linux is definitely worth a try if you can track down a distro. I recommend SUSE or MEPIS. Both easy to use and reliable.

I'm using Windows Professional 2000. I don't like XP's interface. I do like Macs, and because I work in graphic arts, end up being around them quite a bit. Macs are elegant and the interface is beautiful, but like TMO said, it's a Windows world.

I hate the Mac GUI. Can't stand it. I use XP Professional at the moment, and I don't mind the layout - it can be changed with the help of a skinning program, anyway.

Windows XP

I use it because: Games, a lot of games support mostly Windows, from what I know of.. razz

and I grew up withh it, so I don't know exactly how other ones work. sweatdrop

But the mac interface is pretty. (Well, the little red, green and yellow buttons.. ninja )

Well, I've always liked to be different... O.o

I just don't like the colours or anything, and it seems a little too blocky for me - then again, that could be due to the fact that I have a skinning program running and I'm used to an interface that's even more rounded than the default XP.

What's the skinning program called? Just out of curiosity.. ninja *random note: I'm addicted to ninja s*

Well, I used to use WindowsBlinds, but StyleXP is faster, so I use that now.

At the moment, I'm not using any skins at all, or not on my laptop, anyway. On the actual computer, I have one.

Aye, that it is.

Back to the topic of OS-es, I'm planning to load up the newest Solaris distro and have a dual-boot system on my laptop. Apparently, the net runs really fast in Solaris.
