((Anyway...))
Gary Oak walked off of Route 1 into Pallet Town. "It's good to get out of the Gym every once in a while," he said with a deep breath. He had missed his hometown even though he only lived in the next city, as he walked he saw his old friend Leaf. "Hmmm..." he said before yelling out to her while waving to her, "Yo Leaf! Long time no see!"

Charles walks out of his house and begins to walk to route one.

Upon seeing one of her two childhood friends she looked at him sternly. "Indeed it has been a while Blue! How are you doing? I heard you became the Viridian Gym leader"" edging towards him she smiled eagerly awaiting his reponse. Her blue eyes glistening at Professor Oaks own grandson. She believed she met him properly through Daisy when she was much younger, having looked up to her.

Gary rubbed the back of his head. "Yeah... I guess you could say I got kinda luckly," he said.

Kieth left Professor Oak's lab with the other kids. There was something different though. He was three years older than everyone else and he didn't like it.
"Why did I have to go with dad instead of starting out like everyone else...?" he thought to himself.
He brought the pokéball he had obtained to his face and sighed.
"I hope you're just as cool with me as your friends in the wild are..." he said aloud without meaning to.

"Yeah, I am. Are you just starting out? I picked a Bulbasaur, what've you got?" he asked Charles inquisitively. His "professor" traits were beginning to bubble to the surface again. He always asked a lot of questions in one go when he went in one of these moods.

Kieth stood at the grass before Route 1. He was about to start his first pokémon journey. Taking a deep breath, he entered Route 1.
