The Dreaming..
Kaliska tugged the animal skins over herself, half asleep as she was. She had trekked far today, finding herbs for the medicine man and now she was fairly exhausted. Now warm and drowsy, her eyes finally shut and she fell into sleep.
Hours passed, and the moon travelled across the night sky. Kaliska was now dreaming, her eyelids flickering as her eyes moved beneath them.
Kaliska found herself standing in the Village, the midday sun blazing down on her head. She had her bow across her body, a quiver of feathered arrows on her back, a stone headed axe in her hand. She smelt something odd on the breeze; the sickly sweet smell of death. Her breath came sharper now, her heart thudding in her chest - fear of the unknown. She walked on through the Village, finding torn up earth and splattered blood but no sign of anyone or anything. After a time, she heard a flapping noise - it filled her ears and became all she could hear. Whirling around, screaming for whoever it was to show themselves she saw the sky above her blotted out by a shadowy pairs of wings....
Which was when she awoke, sitting upright, her body streaming with sweat, shaking. She rolled out from under the skins, the weight of them stifling to her right then and fell against something. She scrambled to make a light, hitting flint and lighting her lamp. Holding it up with a shaking hand, she gasped at the basket beside her. She knelt beside it, running a hand over the weave, and it shook faintly beneath her fingers. Kaliska snatched her hand away as if it had been burned. Where had this come from? It was silly to be nervous of what was obviously a baby Soquili but it appearing by her side as she had that nightmare? Coincidence or more... but there was nothing she could do in the dark, and her mind was too tired to comprehend this properly. What could the basket do? Nothing, and she figured the foal wasnt about to come out either. It was safe to sleep, and so extinguished her light and curled back under the skins, warily looking at the dark spot that was the basket as her eyes drooped and she finally fell into sleep again.

In the morning Kaliska pulled back the animal skins and peered across, half expecting the basket to have vanished - thinking it must have been the product of a tired mind and an over active imagination. But no. The basket still stood there; and the early morning light that filtered through a gap in the entrance of her teepee fell on it, illuminating and revealing the silver sheen of the basket's weave, interlaced with a purple patterning on one side and ornamented with a purple gem. It was beautiful. She rubbed her sleepy eyes and moved over to kneel beside it, leaning in and listening. She could hear the faint echoing sound of the foal's heartbeat, and a rustle noise - which she guessed was it moving about inside the basket. She smiled a little, sitting back on her heels and just looking at it happily. As she woke up a little more, thoughts began to occur. Many that she knew would probably not be answered. Like where had the basket come from? Did someone leave it here for her? It was well known in the Village that she had wanted to become the friend to a Soquili; from what she knew of the other's it seemed like an enriching experience. So had someone felt generous....or was there a link to the disturbing dream. She didnt want to think those thoughts. This little life was an innocent. And she would care for it when it emerged. She could not see into the future; she had not that gift and she didnt want the great surprise ruined for her. Kaliska nodded firmly. She would dress properly, and go into the Village to break bread and share with the others what she had been gifted.

Darkling emerges.. Kaliska had patiently looked after the basket that had shown up in her teepee almost a moon's span ago. Sometimes she could hear the foal within moving around; more often during the cool of dusk it seemed. As the days passed she grew a little worried, but she was assured by her friends that the foal would emerge when it was ready to. The night that the foal finally left the basket, the new moon hung low in the sky, a white eye staring down at the earth. Kaliska was wrapped in a worn fur, its pelt was soft from long use as a blanket and cloak. She rubbed a bare patch on it, looking up from the entrance of her teepee into the cloudless night sky. She was just considering turning in for the night, when the basket beside her began to move alarmingly, rocking from side to side as though it would up-end. She got to her feet quickly, bringing a lamp close and watching the basket shift around. It vibrated as though being impacted from within and as she watched the lid moved, then was pushed back as small hoof slid out from within, followed by a thin leg. As the lid moved further off the top of the basket a slender head peeked out, ears flickering and eyes darting as it did so. Another hoof was placed outside of the basket, and the foal pushed upwards before stepping awkwardly from it. It wobbled as it found its feet, the bat-like wings opening and closing slowly as it stretched them, the odd tail flicking behind it. Kaliska had watched all this in stunned silence; was this really a Soquili? A thought was suddenly pushed into her head; What this place? the foal demanded, having finally found the source of the strange smell in the crouched human. 'K- Kawani Village,' Kaliska managed. You sleep here? the foal asked, the projected thought sounding feminine to Kaliska's overwhelmed mind. The foal was a filly she realised. The light from her lamp caused the foal's pelt to shimmer like liquid metal, and Kaliska again wondered what manner of Soquili it really was. The foal found the skin bed and folding its legs under itself, comandeered her bed. Kaliska didnt mind, as there was no way she would be falling asleep whilst the foal was in her teepee. She pushed the basket outside, closing the teepees entrance and sat with her back to it, the fur wrapped around her again...she waited for morning to arrive.

Meeting Alona and Cyrus Sayuri_Nitta Izusa carefully pushed the last bit of earth back over the shallow hole with her cloven hoof and patted it down. It would be a long time till that silly human found her hair comb and she snickered to herself, her wings flapping a little. She looked around her, wondering what other mischief she could cause. The place looked pretty boring; where were all the other's like her? She clipped along, her hooves kicking up dust and she wandered over to the main fire, walking around the edge of it. hanging gallow Alona was a little chilly, and Lilly refused to put a fire up. Lilly wasn't in a very good mood today so Alona left and headed to the village. She noticed that the main fire was still burning so she trotted closer to it. However just as she had reached the outer edge of light that the fire casted she notice another soquili. However this soquili was far different from any that she had ever seen. At first Alona thought it was a wind soquili, but its wings were too different. The wings resembled more like a bat wings than the feather wings that Kali had. This soquili also had an very odd tail with funny looking hooves. Alona wasn't sure if she should approach the soquili or leave her alone. She didn't look like she was up to much good to begin with and the way that the fire cast upon her made her look as if she could almost be pure evil. Alona remianed frozen on the spot not knowing what to do. Sayuri_Nitta Izusa paced around the fire; it wasnt interesting enough to hold her attention for long though and she soon cast her eyes around for something else to do. That was when she spied the mare, and she sniffed the air, filling her nostrils with the other's scent. The little filly flicked her strange tail and then approached slowly. The mare seemed wary of her, but she was still alot bigger and so Izusa walked slowly, her wings folded now along her back. She stopped a few steps away from Alona and looked at her with a tilted head. hanging gallow Alona wasn't quite sure want to do. The filly had spotted her before she could creep away silently. She shook her head and gave slight smile to say "Hello my name is Alona, I don't think i have met you before." Alona crepted alittle closer to the young filly hoping that she wouldn't be startled. Alona wondered if it was the soquilis that Loki had once mention, the flesh eating ones, however she was quite sure, or at least hopeing, that she wouldn't bit her. Sayuri_Nitta Izusa didnt answer straight away, opening her wings slowly and flapping them a little. She loved the feel of the air on the membrane, and she arched her neck a little before folding them again. The little filly wondered if she could play a little with this one...and she lowered her head, her ears going back as she put on a pitiful air; 'I'm Izusa..' she said quietly. 'Are you going to hurt me?' hanging gallow Alona was a little shaken with the question the filly gave her. Me hurt her....do i look that scary, Alona wondered. "No I wouldn't hurt you, what would give you that idea" she asked cautionly as if she was treading on thin ice. Alona was wondering what this filly was upto, she was different, very different. Sayuri_Nitta Izusa smirked to herself; this one was soft hearted - really easy to play with. She pawed the ground with a hoof as though shy. 'Well I look so different from you - the human who had my basket said I was scary,' she tacked on a little sniffle for good measure. hanging gallow ((thats fine with me if Cyrus joins ^_^)) Alona could tell something was wrong. She couldn't place down what it was but something was not right with this soquili, she could feel it. Yet she didn't want to say anything, or offend the filly so she continued. "Why would the human think you were scary, I don't think you are scary at all" Alona said placing the most friendlist smile on her face as she could. Just smile and be nice, just smile and be nice was all Alona could think.Sayuri_Nitta 'Maybe because of my weird tail,' she said, flicking it around. The many strands coiled as she did so and her wings rustled on her back again. Izusa pretended to be pleased; 'Oh you dont think I am scary! Oh I am so happy.' Draculas Babe ( heart )
Cyrus had been sleeping for the past couple hours since he was up late the last night. But soon his resting was coming to it's end, for the tree that was blocking the sunlight from him had just disappeared, the sun earths rotation sometimes got to Cyrus' nerves. He awoke yawning. He got up and shook his himself off from some leaves that had made their way onto him.
He then sauntered his way past trees and gorges. He walked past a scent of twp horses. One familiar, another strangely different. It gave him a sort of chill. He started to run towards them, soon he met up with the two Soquili's. Alona and a filly. This one looked like no other he had seen before however. hanging gallow What indeed a strange tail, Alona thought but she made sure not to say anything about that at all. "Well I think you tail is pretty and it isn't scary at all" Alona said nodding and thinking smile and be nice smile and be nice. A sound caught Alona's ear, it was another soquili. She hoped it wasn't another soquili that looked like Izusa or a bigger version of Izusa. It wasn't, but it was a face Alona was pleased to met. "Hello Cyrus" Alona said giving him a small smile of relief. She was glad that now she wasn't alone with the foal. Sayuri_Nitta 'Don't let him hurt me!' Izusa squeaked, skipping on light hooves behind Alona, grinning to herself. This was fun. 'He'll think I'm weird too,' she said, fluttering her wings in an agitated fashion. Draculas Babe "Hey, Alona." He looked at the frightened filly. "Hello, there." he smiled warmly, he had never in any of his days seen such an unique filly. He glanced back up at Alona, wearily. She's probably a very nice filly, don't be judgemental Cyrus. He kept telling himself over and over. Cyrus peered down at the filly, "Hurt you?" Cyrus chuckled. "I could barely hurt a fly. He thought back to Zephi's inncident where he almost killed a wolf. He seemed to appear nervous while he thought about it. "What might your name be little lady." Sayuri_Nitta 'Izusa,' she said as she stepped back out from behind the mare. She tilted her head again, regarding the stallion thoughtfully and she clipped delicately over to him, showing her cloven hooves to best affect. Her nostrils flared as she smelled Cyrus's scent. hanging gallow Alona watched the young filly hid behind her. She smiled at the filly "Cyrus wouldn't hurt you at all, and i'm sure he wouldn't think you as werid, but if you want I won't let him come too close to you." It was all Alona could think of to do for the filly. She gave a confused look to Cyrus, half smiling and almost half pleading him not to be mad at her, she didn't want to hurt him, she hoped he would understand. But she didn't want the filly to be too agitated, Alona was a little wary of the filly, she still could tell something was not right. To Alona's surprise the filly got closer to Cyrus, and Alona let out a small sigh. At least she isn't too afraid of Cyrus, I hope Cyrus won't be mad at me, Alona said looking done at the ground as if more ashamed then anything.
Edited there we go thats a little better ^_^ Draculas Babe (Just switch mine and yours around. ^^ or what she said...)
Cyrus watched Alona and gave a half hearted sigh to himself. "My, thats a beautiful name you have, Izusa." Cyrus stayed a little farther back from the to females. He knew he was big but he didn't consider himself a brute. He was rather large and muscular. "I'm Cyrus by the way. i think Alona mentioned that already. Pleased to meet you Izusa." Cyrus glanced at Alona in understanding, he gave her "it's fine," look. Sayuri_Nitta Izusa grazed her nose against Cyrus's flank...that being the highest she could reach. She hadnt even tried her wings yet, and wasnt about to as she didnt want to show weakness in front of these two. 'Hello Cyrus,' she said softly. He was a biig male, and she fluttered her wings a little. She sniffed the air, scenting something that made her belly talk to her. 'Gotta go. The human has food for me,' and she skipped away without a bye or a look behind her.(( Gotta go sorry - need foooood ))

Meeting Spirit Sprite and Sora Sayuri_Nitta Izusa stamped down on a mound of snow just outside the human's teepee. She liked the snow; she could play all manner of tricks on the human - who wouldnt be finding alot of personal items till after the snow melted! She nickered softly, watching the way her breath turned into a white cloud and trailed away. She was bored again now, and clipped smartly towards the centre of the Village, heading for the main fire, and looking for something to interest her for a while. Valeria Spirit Sprite hovered around the main fire, snorting softly at the movement of the flames. He had helped his human bring some furs in for selling, and noticed that they weren't doing so well. He whickered softly, nudging Valeria with his muzzle.Valeria smiled up at him slightly, reaching up to pat his muzzle. "Go play, Spirit Sprite. It'll probably be awhile before we can head home. Tania can guard me and keep me safe." She said, reaching out a hand to pat the mountain lion cub at her side. Not needing to be told twice, Spirit Sprite turned and trotted away from the fire, looking for something interesting to do. Takakun Sora has spent ages moping. Now he wanders around the teepee looking slightly lost. His head was in a bundle, even more than usual, his heart tugging away. So it was without surprise that he continued walking with his head down and soon bumped into something. Looking up, he saw another soquili, Spirit Sprite and stepped backwards in surprise. "hello..."
Sayuri_Nitta Izusa flicked her tail, the tendrilled ends spraying snow in a fine shower behind her as it caught the drifts. The snow was shallower here, and melted into damp earth as she walked towards the flickering fire. She noted the human, the furred animal at her side and then she saw the stallion. Her wings opened and shut slowly as she regarded him. He was a fine big male, but he still had the same air of 'good' around him. He certainly didnt look like he caused his human any problems. But, she was bored and so she headed straight for him, the weak sunlight causing her pelt to shimmer slightly as she walked. Before she got to him, she saw yet another stallion approach. She sniffed the air undecidedly but decided to go on. Despite her appearance she was after all just a filly, and she knew they wouldnt attack her without provocation. They were just too....nice. Valeria Spirit Sprite blinked, eyes widening slightly as something bumped into him. Looking over his shoulder to his right flank, he noticed another stallion was the cause. "Um.... Hi?" Spirit Sprite said uncertainly, then blinked again as a rather odd ((to him)) looking filly came up to the both of them. Takakun Sora turned rather red or atleast he thought he did as he face went hot, but it's rather hard for a soquili to blush. He has been bumping into everyone these days! He despaired at the thought that maybe big brother would confined him to the teepee if he continued. Quickly mumbling an apology, he turned to go but a sudden scent caught his attention, waking him to full clarity. What was this....such a scent....soquili and yet not soquili? His eyes roamed, then catching sight of a dark purple filly...
Sayuri_Nitta Izusa snorted in mirth at the sight of the one stallion bumping into the other before remembering herself. She was still trying to play herself off as a 'cute lil foal' to see how long she could get away with it. 'Hello.' she said, dipping her head in a meek fashion, flapping her bat-like wings before letting them settle on her back. Valeria Spirit Sprite blinked again, looking from Sora to the filly and back again. It had looked like the filly had been about to laugh, but he wasn't entirely sure. "Hello." He said, finding that he got along alot better with young Soquili than older ones. He got shy around most adult Soquili, so limited himself to only greeting younger ones for now. Takakun Sora continued a few steps back. Surprised, he stared at the filly, gaping at the barbed tail and the bat like wings. He has seen his winged cousins before but never one like this. But as he dipped her head, his apprehensions faded..."hello there. Where did you come from?"
Sayuri_Nitta Izusa stepped towards the patterned stallion first, her head extended and she sniffed him. She glanced over at the grey stallion, her ears flickering as she seemed to mull over his question; 'From over there,' she indicated with a flick of her head, deadpan. If he wanted to know more, he would have to ask a better question. Valeria Spirit Sprite smiles a bit, then shakes his head. "I'm Spirit Sprite. Who are you two?" He asked, blinking slightly. Sayuri_Nitta 'Izusa,' she replied, turning her attention back to this Spirit Sprite. She stretched a little, shaking herself and looking over at the fire again. 'You know that human then?' Izusa asked. Valeria Spirit Sprite glances over at Valeria, who is still sitting beside the fire. "Yes. She has taken care of me since I was small. The other TwoFeet call her Valeria. Why do you ask?" He said, curious. Takakun "i'm Sora...." he said barely a whisper.... The he turned to where Izusa was looking, blinking slightly. He did not know the two legged crouched by the fire so he turned back and waited for Spirit's answer. He wondered slightly at the filly's tail.....it looked rather....dangerous.
Sayuri_Nitta 'Just asking,' Izusa said, not wanting to give a reason. There really wasnt one, she was just being nosey. 'You couldnt look after yourself? The human who had my basket just gives me food. She doesnt look after me.' That wasnt true either, but Izusa wasnt one for being honest - the untruths just seemed easier to say. She looked at Sora oddly. 'Why you whispering? Are you scared of something?' she arched her neck. Was the stallion afraid of her? Nah - but a part of her hoped so because it was too funny if he was. Takakun "ummm" he backed away, swishing his tail. The grey stallion wondered why he felt so icky around the filly. After all she just looks a little different. "No...i'm just tired that's all. Your bonded dont live with you?" he asked surprise...
Sayuri_Nitta 'Yes. I just dont like her. Well she doesnt like me. She thinks I'm weird.' Izusa said that last bit with a mixture of pride in her voice. She noted that Sora seemed to back away and she clipped slower to him. 'Really? Are you sure?' Takakun He widen his dark green eyes. Don't like her? All of a sudden, waves of sadness washed over him. He cannot imagine life without his two bonded, playing with them, running and hunting. He stood calmly and gently nosed her, "perhaps you'd like to come with us back to the village?"
Sayuri_Nitta Oh how delightful! He'd fallen for her ruse, and she feigned her happiness. She pressed her own nose against his flank - well as high as she could reach, and blew air through her nostrils. 'Thank you,' she said humbly. 'I mean you barely know me and you are being so very...nice,' Izusa managed. Takakun Sora grinned as much as he can at this moment and nudged her gently towards the village. "it will be warmer there....are you cold?" Moving to a trot, he jogged up and down slowly besides her, leading the way. "there are many two leggeds and soquilis....you will be welcomed, I'm sure, so don't be shy..."
Sayuri_Nitta 'A little,' Izusa replied, playing her role to the hilt. She wondered why the normal Soquili were so accepting. She felt that they were weak, but what if that was how she was meant to be and she was the wrong one? That couldnt be though..she trotted beside him, wondering how Kaliska would react when she learned that Izusa had gone back with another Soquili. Takakun He looked at her slightly at the corner of his eye. She seemed deep in thought, so he left her be. Then they came to the gate of the village where noise from the center gathering could be heard. He bounced slightly, maybe the festivities would bring him out of his gloom, and so he smiled at Izusa, "come on" and trotted faster in.

Meeting Kali Cihiru It was odd, the way Kali set herself into motion and time after time, found herself standing here... In the valley just outside the Kawani village. She could see the inhabitants from here, hurrying to and fro between their shelters. She could smell them too; the drifting scent of smoldering wood and a whole myriad of other things. The part that interested her most, though, was the occasional whinny she could hear leaving the settlement. The smells were too faint to discern, but the sound of Soquilis was unmistakable. Now, she'd heard of Soquilis choosing to live with humans before, but it was still a curiosity. So there she stood, gazing at the villagers and mulling over what compelled the Soquilis to stay with them. Kanashimii Kanti's leather boots made the ground crick under her to each of her steps as she walked out of the village. The weather wasn't so cold today, not like it had been around the holidays. But she still had her cloth around her shoulders, covering her bare arms from the chilly wind. The clouds covered the sky, but today was not a stormy day, therefore she thought she could go out and search for some herbs. As the young human walked out of the village, she noticed a dark colored soquili, standing near by a tree, watching the villagers going by doing their normal day routine. She smiled lightly, wondering what it was doing there. She hesitated for a moment, but decided to go in it's direction, see if it would be scared or not... Sayuri_Nitta Izusa moved on light hoof steps, slipping between teepees, noting that the villagers cast looks at her as she went past them. It was good that they were wary of her, she smirked to herself, her wings rustling on her back. She gazed around, eyes landing on a black, feathered winged Soquili. The mares scent drifted to her, and she headed towards it, ignoring the human that was also drifting near to the mare with a toss of her head. Human's werent worth her time.. Cihiru The mare was far too curious to be alarmed; she had her ears perked to notice just this sort of thing. As soon as the sound of footsteps met her hearing, she turned her head to observe their source, and let out a low, welcoming nicker. It wasn't until after she'd greeted the human Kali took a moment to wonder what she was doing, but by then it was a bit late to do anything. Oh well, it didn't matter. The woman didn't look threatening or anything... Besides, no amount of curiosity could overcome instinct; if she was dangerous, her gut would have told her so, right? Kanashimii Kanti's golden eyes glanced at the horse. It seemed to have wings. She blinked, could this be a wind soquili? Never did she meet a wind soquili before. They were rare around here and very few humans had seen them to tell. She slowed her pace not to scare the beautiful creature and smiled lightly when she heard the horse nicker lightly. It seemed to welcome her. Kanti noticed that it was a female with black and white skin, along with elegant wings. As she stepped closer, Kanti moved her left hand into the basket she was holding and grabbed a few barries. She extended her hand and offered the juicy berries to the soquili. Cihiru This was a little unexpected (in more ways than one). A second approach caused her gaze to flicker toward it, but once it fell on the other, she could feel her curiosity pique. Kali wasn't much of a judgemental sort, and didn't think anything of the filly's appearence, but she would have had to be blind not to realize the other surely looked different. It was awkward to admit to herself she'd never seen another Soquili of the sort.
She was torn, now. Part of her wanted to approach the human and investigate the offering in the woman's hand, but the filly demanded her attention and she found it a little difficult to peel her eyes away. She settled instead for greeting the filly with a friendly, gentle whinny and approaching the woman with no signs of apprehension. Kali stood a step or two off for a moment, then nosed at her hand and sniffed the berries. It took only a second to recognize the sweet smell, to which the mare replied by lipping them up appreciatively. After devouring them, she nuzzled the woman's hand in thanks, and took a moment to steal a glance at the filly over her shoulder. Sayuri_Nitta Izusa tilted her head, watching the human go right up to the Soquili as though she owned it! Her tail flickered, the tendrils catching the damp ground and her wings rustled again, but in irritation. She wanted to see what this Soquili was like, but as she watched, the mare just greeted her before eating the human's offering. She grumped inwardly; another 'good' Soquili...how boring. But well, maybe some fun could be had anyway. She walked right past the human, ignoring her again and pressing her nose against the mares flank in greeting. Kanashimii Kanti smiled to the mare's action. She liked the berries very much that was for sure. She let her hand pet the soquili's head for a moment, until she noticed another one had approached. It was different from any soquilies she had seen before. It had strange tattoos and colors, and it didn't look so friendly either. Well at least it didn't seem to care for Kanti's presence. She decided to stay silent and observe, instead of approaching this one this time. Cihiru She suspected it was agitation she sensed drifting off the filly, but her better half demanded benefit of the doubt, and thought perhaps it was apprehension instead. Maybe it was nothing at all; she pushed both thoughts aside at the somewhat forward greeting, and offered an earnest (allbeit small) smile. "Afternoon." Kali sniffed softly, taking in the other's scent in a more equine welcome. Yes, that was definately agitation. Her good will couldn't deny it. "I'm Kali; how is the day treating you?" Sayuri_Nitta 'I'm Izusa,' she replied, not answering the polite question directed at her. She stepped away from Kali a little, walking around to see the mare better. 'You don't have wings like me either,' she commented. Were there no other's like her around here? Cihiru "Or you don't have wings like me," she replied. "Is that a bad thing?" Kali glanced to her with a quirked brow, not particularly returning her scrutinizing. The mare learned at a young age appearences could be decieving, beauty was only skin deep, and all that good stuff. Her mother had been adamant about that sort of thing, and would have been ashamed to find she was doing otherwise now. "I never found it to matter much one way or the other." Sayuri_Nitta Izusa spread her wings out as far as they would go, the membranes stretched. She arched her neck and tilted her head to look at them, before folding them down again and looking at Kali. 'I've seen others around the Village with wings like yours. I've not seen any other's like me. Do you not think that's odd?' she inquired. Cihiru The mare noted the observation; she recalled making similar actions some time ago. "Nope, I don't." Maybe it was because she'd spent so much time reassuring Loki when their herd had shunned them, but it really didn't seem so odd to her at all. "Do you want to look like everybody else?" It was good to be different! "I know I don't." Kali took the opportunity to peer at the human then, and fixed her with what seemed like an apologetic gaze before looking back to the filly. Kanashimii Kanti sat on a near by rock and put her basket on her knees. She took out a few things and started working on a new jewel she had already started. She didn't want to bother the soquilies, they seemed to be having a conversation, but she didn't really feel like going back to the village. So she sat there, working with the cords and beads she had brought with her, along with a few feathers. Once in a while, she would take a glance at the soquilies to see what they were up to, observing them in silent. Sayuri_Nitta 'No I don't,' Izusa seemed pensive for a bit, kicking the ground with the tip of a small hoof. For a moment she seemed to look lost, and small, like the foal she was. Then she shook it off, shaking her head. 'Everyone stares at me. I see them looking away when I look at them,' she commented. Cihiru "Why does it bother you? It doesn't matter what they think." Kali looked to the distance for a moment, hoping not to intrude on Izusa's contemplation. "The people that are afraid of difference are the same ones that are afraid of change. Rejecting change is denying improvement, and I don't know about you, but I don't want to be stuck the way I am forever either. I want to be smarter, stronger, faster..." She paused thoughtfully and turned back to the filly, anxious for her reaction, but careful not to look expectant. Sayuri_Nitta Izusa blinked at the little speech; maybe she had judged this one too soon? It sounded like she was talking about power - and the filly certainly liked the sound of that! 'I will be strong...' she said, shaking herself all over, her tail flicking the air this time. 'When I'm big like you,' she radiated an air of sweetness, hoping that this wise mare would like her enough to teach her strength...she could bear to tolerate someone if they helped her be powerful. Cihiru Ignorance was bliss, for both of them perhaps. Kali would not have approved of this thirst for power, but what she didn't know couldn't hurt her. "With an attitude like that, I don't doubt you will." She might have been taken aback by this new aura of... fallacy, but she was rather absorbed by the filly's determination. Ambition was among the first stepping stones to success. It was fortunate for her she did not know what Izusa hoped the path would lead to. "Will counts for a lot." Sayuri_Nitta 'What are you doing up here?' Izusa asked, her voice polite for once, her eyes looking around where they stood, glancing at the seated human for a moment. 'Oh I have much will for the things I want,' she spoke decisively. Cihiru "Looking around, I suppose. I don't often see the humans... I live in the forest." Kali added the last bit for clarity. "You live here?" Izusa's final comment made her ears twitch uncertainly, but she dismissed it as nothing, despite her common sense. She really did want to see the best in others. Even if it meant blinding herself to the full picture from time to time. After all, if nobody was willing to believe in it... maybe the individual wasn't either. She liked to believe she could inspire change. Unrealistic, maybe, but Kali was always the idealist. Sayuri_Nitta 'You don't have a human..'companion' then?' Izusa asked. That stallion who had fallen for her 'tales of woe' had made it sound like it was odd not to be with a human. 'In the Village is the one who I sort of stay with.' she said. 'What's it like to live out there?' Cihiru "I don't." She too was familiar with this mentality; the one that deemed it odd to live away from the humans. In fact, she had met only one other who lived wild, like she. "Much like living here, I suspect. With a lot less... population. It's quiet. It must be nice to have treats when you want them, and shelter when you need it though. You learn to watch your back, too. There are many more predators in the forest than here. I don't expect you have much to worry about, with a human to stay with?" Sayuri_Nitta Izusa snorted; 'You think I'm pampered and closely looked after? She is scared of me.' Izusa stated. It wasnt completely true, but Kaliska had learned to be guarded with the filly. 'I stay around here because...' she fumbled for the words. 'Because there is much fun to be had around here. I get food with my wiles, not because I'm pretty to look at it.' Cihiru "I implied neither. Don't be so defensive with me," she said simply. "Rather that a human whom you choose to live with must do something to provide for you, or you would have no reason to stay. Most humans seem... inclined to be kind to Soquilis anyway, so I'm doubtful yours is different if you would willingly return." Kali noticed she was at a loss for reasons she stuck around, but didn't know what to make of it. "I don't much care how you acquire your food, so long as you're fed at the end of the day." It was unusual for her to react in this way, but the foal's presentation of this as bragging rights struck her in the wrong manner. Sayuri_Nitta 'They let me have food because of my age I think,' Izusa said, not really addressing Kali. 'When I am older, I will move away from the Village I am sure,' she stretched, having gotten tired of standing in one place, and she walked a little, flexing her wings as well. 'Besides...I'm not like the others. I told a stallion about my situation, and he acted like it was the worst thing not to be with a human.' Cihiru "What is the liklihood he knew what he was talking about? What made you think he did?" Kali tilted her head at the filly, a mix of bemusement and curiosity. "And why should I care?" She was quite satisfied with her situation, and thought she was doing reasonably well for herself. Why should it matter what some random stallion's thoughts on living wild were? "Move away if you want. Be warned the lifestyles are more than likely different, and it's doubtful one is more beneficial than the other." Sayuri_Nitta 'Did I say I agreed with him?' Izusa thought that the mare had fog between her ears. 'Besides which you give your thoughts very decidedly for someone who says she doesnt care.' she trotted away from the mare a little, her concentration span at its limit for this conversation. Not only that, her stomach was feeling empty and she felt like nosying around to see what she could snatch up.

Izusa kicked over a basket, watching as apples spilled onto the earth. She whickered with mischevious glee, looking around to make sure no one was looking and filled her belly with the tart sweetness of the apple. She licked juice from her mouth and then stomped on the remaining apples, bruising and cutting them with her cloven hooves, making them dirty and ruined. She skipped away from the pile of destruction and wandered off behind a line of teepees, sniffing the air as she went. 'Oi!' called out a voice as she passed a load of clay pots. She turned, her tail flicking a little and her wings rustling restlessly on her back. From the shadows behind the containers a small figure emerged, a furred creature. She tilted her head at it, curious as to what it was. 'You new arent you?' it asked, its voice rough but definately feminine. 'You have lived around here a long time have you?' Izusa asked, shifting on her hooves, curious now. 'A while, never seen one like you that's for sure,' the little furred creature walked around Izusa, little black nose atwitch as it sniffed at her. 'What are you?' Izusa asked, turning a little to keep it in sight. 'You dont know what I am? Where you live, in a basket?' Izusa snorted in amusement. 'Yes actually,' she said, her wings stretching out a little more. The fox blinked. 'Well that told me huh? I'm Yzma..I'm a fox..' she stood in a fallen spot of light. 'And I look a little like you.' Izusa nodded, as the sunlight made the fox's pelt shimmer. It was silvery-lilac, and was pretty to look at; but not as much as mine Izusa thought. 'So do the humans know about you?' 'Nah,' Yzma shook her head and hopped onto a basket, tail curling around her feet as she looked at the Soquili. 'They don't notice much..too wrapped up in their own silly human stuff. They don't see me steal food. I bet they don't see you do the same either.' Yzma chuckled at Izusa's expression. 'Yes I've seen you. First time I've seen one of your kind steal from the humans.' Izusa nodded again, her mane falling around her. 'All the others are so...good,' she grumbled. Yzma nodded back. 'They do seem that way for what I've gathered just hanging around here.' Yzma had also seen the looks Izusa's appearance had garnered from humans and Soquili alike. She had a feeling that sticking around with this filly would be to her advantage as things could get interesting in the Village and she was nothing if not opportunistic. 'Come on,' Yzma motioned with her head. 'I know where the soft fruits are stored.' Izusa liked the sound of that, and followed her new vulpine friend eagerly.

Yzma the fox familiar stirred, uncurling and moving away from Izusa's flank. The fox had taken to curling up with the foal at nights; it kept both of them warm as Izusa still refused to have anything to do with the human who had the basket she emerged from. Yzma stretched, coiling her tail and then turned around to see if the Kalona had stirred. She yipped in surprise and Izusa stirred. 'What..?' she said sleepily. 'You..you grew!' Yzma barked. Izusa scrambled onto her hooves, turning around, trying to see herself. She knew she was taller, the ground seemed further away. Stronger too, and she cantered about, then ran, away from the sleeping spot and away from the Village outskirts, revelling in the new found reach in her legs. As she ran, the wind caught her out spread wings, and she staggered, stopping. She cantered, then drew to a halt. Izusa flapped her wings, beating them against the air, and she drew up from the ground, her hooves leaving and she pushed herself forwards a way before falling back to the ground. 'Ouch..' she grumbled. This was obviously going to take some time to get used to. Practice, practice. She got to moving again, and cantered around, then headed off towards the river. She had to see how she looked now.

Kaliska sat on a small earth mound, paces from her teepee. She sharpened her axe head, the sharpening stone grinding against the stone of the axe head, the tip of her tongue protruding from her mouth as she concentrated. Every so often she would pause, wipe her neck and head with a cloth and look across the Village. From where she was seated she had a good long view, and she cast glances around for Izusa. She hadnt seen the Kalona for weeks now.. 'Stay out of trouble,' she whispered fervently, more a hope then anything as by now she had heard all the tales of the demonic Soquili's. It seemed that as quickly as she had had one come into her life, it had left her again. Finally she was done with the stone, wiping the axe blade with a clean piece of cloth. As she was finishing with the cloth she heard the leaves behind her crunched, and she whirled around, getting to her feet as she whipped the axe behind her. As she turned her head she stayed her arm, lowering the axe again. 'Sorry,' she said contritely when she saw both the brown, and blue and yellow coloured mare. The brown mare nudged the hand holding the axe and she put it down quickly. 'You startled me,' she reached out with outspread fingers, touching the softness of the brown mare's nose. The mare shyed away a little, before staying still again, letting Kaliksa touch her nose. She examined the flowers adorning both tail and mane of this one. 'Ardia..' the indian warrior maid said suddenly. 'You seem to have sought me out, and I hope you will stay,' she looked at the brilliantly coloured one. 'Dory..' she reached out her other hand, touching that mare's soft nose. 'Come..' she beckoned. 'I have some apples stored, if you want..' she went towards her teepee, heading for one of the baskets there. The Soquili's followed, and she fed them apple slices, feeling happier in herself for a long time. If they stayed..when then it would make up for fact that Izusa had vanished on her.

Sayuri_Nitta Ardia clipped along a worn dirt track along the side of a field, before wandering out onto the grass. It was sodden under her hooves, and she kept her tail up a little to stop the ends from becoming wet. She shook her mane, looking up into the sky as birds wheeled across it. The sun was fairly warm, but the air still held the cold and her breath was visible. She nosed the grass, clipping a mouthful and chewing on it, just standing, enjoying the afternoon. lilwerewolfgirl This patch of grass is so tall... it nearly covers 3/5ths of my body! She thought giving a nicker, a butterfly landed ontop of her nose as she lifted it into the air. The reds and golds of its wings shimmered almost translucent as the sun hit it. Snorting she gave it the up draft it needed to once again take to the sky, as free as a bird. Her cloven hooves sank every now and then as she walked through the muddy portions of the high grasslands. Every once and a while one of the would get stuck, when she would use her strength and hoist herself out of the trap.
Everything was fine for a while, the grassline seemed to decrease... but the filly still was hidden. Finally pushing her luck she found her front right hoof sinking in the wet soil. Yanking as hard as she could she nearly stumbled backwards, if she yanked any harder she might of just as well tor the limb off! Neferti let out a silent plee for her, and looked around. Sayuri_Nitta Ardia wandered slowly along, occasionally snatching up a mouthful of the wet grass. She skirted boggy sections of the field as she went, her ears turning as she moved. After a while she was sure she could hear some sort of distress call, and she hurried more now, coming across the patterned filly. 'Are you okay?' she asked. lilwerewolfgirl The young soquili's eyes lightened softly as someone came. She hadnt seen her before.. maybe she came from behind? Or perhaps she could teleport... the female thought way too much. "Noo im stuck and cant seem to get out!" She tossed head head around wildly trying to remove her hoof. Her horn was zooming around like a dagger, if she hurt someone with it... it was completly unintentional. Cihiru This was one of those days where the stallion's more inherant nature resurfaced; a day where the afternoon was his morning. Loki gave a broad, tired yawn, and made a weak attempt to shake the disobediance from his mane. Always obstinate, it remained dishelved in his eyes as he squinted to peer at the surrounding foliage. Beams of light spilled through the forest canopy, blotching the leafy ground beneath it, while a too-alert chorus chimed through the humid air. That was his sign the world was up and around, and perhaps it was just about time he joined them.
Having stretched the lingering drowsiness from his relunctant limbs, he headed off on the day's journey with that resolution. It was a voyage he allowed his hooves to lead, taking him wherever it was they willed. And today, it would seem they thirsted for adventure, for they headed off in a direction he'd never bothered to explore.
A direction that soon proved very... soggy. He found himself wondering what in the world had possessed him to travel there, but a distraught cry forbid him from dwelling on it. Loki's ears twitched as they guaged the direction it had come from, and before long his hooves were following, pulling him near the source. As the filly (and mare, he noticed) drew into view, he huffed a low, required neigh to announce his presence, and strode to their side just in time to hear her explain her situation. "Calm yourself, for starters." Sayuri_Nitta Ardia shifted, trying not to let her own hooves sink into the grasping mud. 'It's okay,' she soothed, trying to avoid the needle point of the horn. She looked as hoofsteps announced another's presence, an imposing stallion. She ducked her head in greeting, then looked back at the filly. 'He's right, if you struggle its worse,' she said, keeping her voice calm so that hopefully the filly would calm as well. lilwerewolfgirl "How would calming down get rid of my situation!?" She said whining like a nieve child would. She continued to struggle a bit more, that was until her hoof sank even deeper. Without the balance of her 4 hooves her body thretened to topple over, if she did... you the hoof go with her or snap out of place? ._.; Realizing this the filly took some deep breaths. At first she didnt realize there was another soquili around her, this one was male.
One deep breath after the other she patiently tried to calm herself down. Her heart still raced... she didnt like the feeling of being trapped. "What.. do i do?" She asked the elders with pleading eyes. Cihiru Loki did not return the polite greeting; not right then, anyway. The filly's panic overwrote any other intentions he might have held at that moment. "It won't, but clear thoughts generally help." The stallion invited himself closer yet, bringing his large form to the filly's side. "Hold still. Thrashing around will make you sink." This was something he'd learned the hard way. The thought nearly made him grimace. But what had he done, back then?...
Oh, right. As the 'lightbulb' flashed inside his mind, Loki ducked his head to more carefully observe the problem. And after he deemed it safe to do so, he rose one pale hoof and pawed gently at the mushy earth around her limb. "Can you pull free, now?" The point near her hoof, at least, was noticably thinned out, with small trenches where he'd dug the mud away. Sayuri_Nitta The foal was panicking too much, Ardia could see. She thought, trying to come to an idea that would help. 'Go carefully,' she said to the filly. 'Pull a hoof out one at a time,' she hovered, blowing air through her nose in worry. 'I could get a tree branch, something for you to grip with your teeth and pull the other end to help if need be,' she suggested. lilwerewolfgirl She didnt mind the other comming so close, she wasnt that closterphobic. She watched ever so curiously as he pawed away at the mud. The indentation grew deeper and deeper, she tried to heeve her leg out but it was still pretty deep in there. "Still too deep" >_< " Looking towards the female she gave a nod. "That might help~" Sayuri_Nitta (( Kk )) 'I'll be as quick as I can,' Ardia promised before cantering away towards the distant treeline. As she approached the stand of trees she slowed, casting about for broken branches that might be of use. She kicked about the rotting leaf litter, her hoof knocking against something and she kicked the leaves away, finding a good sized branch. She bent, grabbing it with her teeth and trotting off, the mulchy taste repellent to her tongue but she needed it. Back at the foals side, she stood with front legs apart, bracing herself and proferring the other end of the branch to the filly. 'Grab ob,' she managed, talking around the damp wood.lilwerewolfgirl She waiting a bit impatiently as she went for the branch. The duo where so nice to help her out here. ._. She felt so helpless.
Careful not to get her other hooves stuck she stayed still. Finally she came abck with the branch. Reaching her neck roward Neferti clasped the branch in her mouth, ICK! it tasted soo nasty!, and readyed herself. "Wready" SHe mumbled as well from the branch between her jaws. Sayuri_Nitta Ardia blinked, her ears folding back as she walked, step by step, inching backwards, teeth gripping into the branch. She thought she felt the filly moving towards her but couldnt be sure and so she just moved on, pulling back carefully, not wanting either of them to get hurt as they tugged against the mud's clinging hold. lilwerewolfgirl She did start to move forward slowly. As the mare tugged on her end the filly pulled on her leg. She tugged and tugged until finally with a small POP her leg was free. Not without just though, she twisted it on the way out.
Limping away from the mud-trap she settled down and shook the debree that had collected on her, spitting out the branch. "bleck!"
If it wasnt for the duo, she'd still be stuck. "Thanks you two~ Im Neferti." Her attitude changed completly as she sat, her ancle wasnt touching the ground for fear of pains. Sayuri_Nitta Ardia stumbled a little as the filly suddenly popped free. She dropped the branch as well, stepping away from the mushy ground and tugged up a clump of grass, chewing it slowly to rid herself of the damp wood taste. 'Ardia,' she said, shaking her mane as she swallowed the mouthful. 'Is your leg okay?' she asked, noting that she was holding it off the ground. lilwerewolfgirl "naw its fine.. i think i just twisted it. Itl heal fast imma quick healer~" Standing up she put most of her front weight on her uninjured leg. "Nice meeting you, i must go now..." Giving a small bow the unicorn soquili trotted off. Cihiru Loki had nodded briefly at the suggestion, though he continued stubbornly, pawing scoops of mud away in relative silence. It wasn't a huge help, it would seem, but it sure beat standing by staring, useless as the mare pulled the filly free. He wasn't keen on being useless. In light of that, the stallion gave a triumphant "there!" as the filly's leg pulled free.
"Don't have much to thank me for." His smile was a soft, almost embarrassed one... Fairly unusual on his features. "My name is Loki." He dipped his nose in greeting, and nodded toward Ardia as he finished. "You look a bit unsteady; do you need anything else?"... And then she excused herself, answering his inquiry without additional words. "Well then. Take care." Sayuri_Nitta Ardia nodded, watching the filly leave; it was after all young, and if she rested it, should heal fairly quickly. She looked at Loki, amusement on her face. 'Well, at least she'll stay away from muddy places now,' she commented, her tail swishing behind her. She started as another stallion approached as the filly left. Glancing at him she dipped her head, he was very handsome and finely coloured. Rein_Carnation A figure moved quite fast among the hills, his muscles moving with his entire form. Mane and tail swaying behind him, shimmering silken black as obsidian. Traveling from the northern mountains where he was staying he was staying, he decided to see what else lied out there. Perhaps even a pretty set of eyes would catch his attention. Pausing his gallop, he danced in place noticing a band of Soquili. With a toss of his head, and a gleaming smile he trotted over. "Hello there," he announced with his head held high. Cihiru "One can hope..." But couldn't be sure. Surely she'd have enough sense not to repeat the situation twice though, right?
And who was this stranger? "Greetings," Loki responded, adding with it a polite bow of his head. "Sorry to say hello and goodbye, but I should probably be off as well. Have a good afternoon!" The stallion flashed an apologetic smile before turning and taking off at a gallop.
Sayuri_Nitta Ardia's tail swished again, watching Loki leave, and then she went over to the white socked stallion. 'I'm Ardia,' she said, introducing herself to this striking Soquili. Rein_Carnation Sheridan: Flashed a smile like non other with a wink. He bowed his head to her with modesty and grace. "Ardia" he thought to himself letting her name sink in quickly, noting her appearence as well. He loved to check out the female Soquili, made him feel quite the stallion. "Greetings Ardia... I am Sheridan." he returned the greeting with another smile. He was feeling quite energetic today as he watched her. Sayuri_Nitta 'Hello Sheridan,' Ardia blew air through her nose, pressing it against his warm flank. It was a peculiar sensation to be appraised so frankly, and especially by such a stallion. What was she thinking? She'd just met him. She calmed her thoughts. 'It's good to meet you. I am new to these parts, are you?' Rein_Carnation Sheridan: Welcomed her paying attention to him, made his head even more full of happiness. He smiled once more thinking only for a precise moment. "I just came into this area not too long ago. I live more Northern with a bunch of mares. Mind you only housemates." he said with an embarrassed grin. "They only live up there where I do, seeing that I'm quite single and available." He pranced about in place thinking how gorgeous she was but thought it best not to be such a flirt, causing her to blush as he'd done previously in the past. Bad enough he was announcing he was single. Well it was the truth after all. Sayuri_Nitta 'Oh?' she tilted her head, walking around him a little. She chuckled inwardly at his stating so quickly that he was unattached, unmated. 'So you came down here to...look for a mate?' Ardia asked sweetly, inwardly astonished at her own boldness. Rein_Carnation Sheridan: Watched her, her chocolate coat melting in his deep set eyes. "Looking for a mate? Hmm possibly." he mentioned with a wink. He danced again with a flick of his long tail. "Is iot wrong of me to be convinced you are quite beautiful?" he smiled and grinned still watching her wondering if he was being too much of a flirt today. But he was taken in by a Goddess' eyes and seemed to be eternally slipping in a large pit of his soul. Sayuri_Nitta Ardia shifted her feet, pretty much stunned right then. She kicked at the ground, looking shyly away. 'Beautiful?' she looked sidelong at him, wondering if his words were serious, or if he was talking in jest to accompany his dancing steps. Rein_Carnation Sheridan: Wanted to smack himself thinking quietly, You idot stop being an ego trip and be nice to her. Clearing his throat he paused his hyperness and bowed his head once more. "Do forgive me for being a flirt. I happen to do that quite much." he blew outward apoligetically. "But I am serious when I say you are very beautiful." His eyes shown very sincere as his words when he mentioned his little mishap to her. "I don't lie when I mean something." He stepped up closer to her blowing gently with a soft smile. Sayuri_Nitta 'Apologies arent needed if your words were sincere,' Ardia stood very still as he came close to her and she nudged against him. 'I should say this before your attentions rob me of speech,' she smiled, inclining her neck in a graceful arch. 'I find you very handsome. But I am sure you hear that all the time,' she joked. Rein_Carnation Sheridan: Did beam at the sound of handsome as it came from her, sincerely at that. He was a flirt, he knew it, and perhaps that would never change. But what he did know for a fact is that she atleast accepted he was being quite serious. That made him feel quite wonderful and a little more less of an ego. "I won't lie when I say yes I've heard that before. But its an honor to hear it coming directly from you." he nodded blowing againsst her again with a subtle nudge.
Raising his head upward he noticed the silken blue mare standing in waiting for his return to the mountains. Lowering his ears and drooping his tail he sighed. "Ardia I must depart back home, but mayhaps I'll get to talk with you again sometime." he said with a playful nod to her flank. Then with a bow, he sprinted off toward the hill where the ice mare waited paitiently to retrieve him. Sayuri_Nitta Ardia felt heat in her cheeks, just managing to nod as he nudged against her, his breath blowing against her pelt. 'I am sorry to see you go. I hope we can see each other soon,' she said with feeling, watching him go before clipping back across the field herself, going back the way she had came when first entering the area.

Ardia strolled along the outskirts of the Village, ears pricking at the sound of the human's moving about within, going about their daily chores. Her tail gently swished, and she shook her mane, feeling the sun on her back as she walked. She began to graze, moving away from the Village now, not moving in any particular direction but wondering if she would meet any Soquili this day..especially one? her mind said, and she snorted a little. She couldnt really be liking Sheridan that much already - could she?

The stallion combined of melting chocolate and grace danced in his limber steps as he approached the village. So many wonderful mares he had encountered the past day, was it true one's head would nearly explode from the attention of it all. On this very day though he had singled out his memories as they fell into place like a set of dominos.
Cordially he paused in his steps watching all the humans and other equine in their daily routine. Flicking his long silky tail as it shinied in the sun, he watched for anything of interest.
There she was.
If timing couldn't be more precise then this, then what was fate for? He waltzed like a dancer as he approached her bowing his finely built head. "Why Lady Ardia. You are looking quite radiant this day." he complimented with the utmost respect.

Ardia was a little startled at Sheridan's sudden approach but she hid her surprise and bowed her head as she turned to face him.. Lady? she thought. She clipped towards him, a smile on her features. 'Are you playing with me again?' she asked, her voice amused. 'It's good to see you regardless. I was hoping..to see you again,' she admitted, turning her head coyly to one side.

The stallion shook his head and smiled with a grin only he could fathom on his handsome profile. Shaking her head that his mane fell like a black shining river of silken strands.
"Is it impolite to address a pretty girl with the term "Lady" as you are in my eyes. As I said I do not lie of such things." he nodded watching her flush from the compliments. Her own chocolate coat melting in his own pools of flowing adoration. Of all the other mares he'd met lately, this one seemed different from the rest for some reason. Thusly, he made it his top priority to make sure he didn't go overboard being senseless in his actions.
Craning his silken neck toward her he breathed quite affectionately upon her flank. "I've also noticed those flowers in your tresses really do bring out the color in your eyes Lady Ardia." he complimented with a deep smile as he thought how radiant she appeared basking in the glory of the sun. Warming the ground she stood upon like a flower blooming in its radiance and majesty.

Ardia was unsure what was proper to do in these circumstanes; she had been brought up far from a herd by an elderly woman at another village, and had travelled when the woman had sadly run out the course of her years. She had little contact with stallions, finding them bold, outspoken creatures, and she had always just keep her own countenance even when approached by one. This stallion, Sheridan, spoke to something inside her, and she didnt want to let an opportunity slip away because of her less then outgoing nature. 'Your words are most welcome, and I thank you.' she moved ever closer, reaching out gracefully and lipping his neck, just at the point where his mane ended and his back began.
